Eco-Friendly Initiatives

Recycling and reusing, it's time to take a stand
For our world and our future, let's give Mother Earth a helping hand
We've got plastic and cloth, that can do so much good
So let's recycle and reuse, like responsible folks should

Plastic bags and bottles, don't throw them away
They can be transformed, and repurposed in a new way
Maybe a new bag, or even some patio furniture
When we recycle and reuse, the possibilities are pure adventure

Clothes are another, that can be saved from the dump
Just because they're out of style, doesn't mean they're a chump
Donate them to those in need, or even swap with a friend
Reusing clothes is smart, as it helps resources extend

Recycling and reusing, it's a noble thing to do
Let's all come together, and make this our value
For our planet and its people, let's make a stand
Recycling and reusing, a future we can all understand.

Ecomaniacs tilt at windmills and joust at clouds
    Don Quixotes screaming out loud

  Climate Change! Global Warming! CO2!
as if you think Nature's amenable to you

Don't scream yourself hoarse! God's kept the Universe fit
over centuries and millenia ~ as humanity flutters and flits

Eco-Warriors

You love animals - so now go and sleep with them,
stop moaning about oil, you're lucky we have some,
get off the racial kick, you're in motherland you dick,
put your airbrush away, better it should just be you.

I protest about people getting at me, let it wash
over you because the most of it is a load of tosh;
I store in my armoury for future use you just see,
so beware one day I don't shake you from your tree.

My wife is gifted with recall - it's frightening really,
because she remembers my misdemeanours clearly;
we say 'yes' to everything don't we to keep the peace,
but sometimes there's agreement, wonders never cease.

So the next time you want action, think more carefully,
you're not going to get 35% more pay realisticcally.

Premium MemberThe Wetlands

as swallows land and swifts take flight
inside late noon’s last shards of light
the chill winds that descend on day
cause dense green swathes of reeds to sway
across the flooded vista’s ground
in harmony with nature’s sound
of shrills that echo through the air
from birds and insects everywhere
while stars with room to breathe and shine
light up a land divorced from time
to show the beauty and true worth
of life in balance here on earth.

Eco Living

The peeping birds
agape up my psyche
towards the dateless
flattery cascade that fluxes
from the celestial
mountains into the
serene emerald ocean
and gives a concise meaning
to the life of a woodland man
who is lost in the fire
of the furious selfish world .

Premium MemberEco-Worryers

Dear David and dear Greta,
I thought I'd write a letter to our eco-anxious friends,
two perfect pinion riders of environmental trends.

You mighty eco-worryers with opinion in your grasp,
have you turned to your creator, or even thought to ask,
the One who laid foundations in farthest distant past,
and with His hand formed seas and land,
and bounded in his wisdom the multitude of nations?

Well and good to save the ozone, and the snowzone,
to ban the plastic, to change the fossil fuel.
But to turn not to creator risks the wisdom of a fool.
You follow all humanity to dust of flesh and bone.

Do you think your worldly sanity will save this earthly home?
Do you know how? His pitied promises are proven every day.
The healing of our land. Now, please, bow your knees, and pray.

Eco Farm

E-co farm in Barangay Bakal
D-elights the gray and blue;
W-ith Kabihug being busy,
I-t's always fresh and
N-ew.

R-ise up on February ninth,
O-vercome the nature's harm;
Q-uest for bountiful harvest,
U-sing the ravishing
E-co farm.

The Mountain Eco

Yes,it was the Mountain Echo
Solitary,clear,profound
Answering to the shouting cuckoo,
Giving to her sound for sound!

Unsolisited reply
To a babbling wanderer sent;
Like her ordinary cry,
Like but oh,how different!
Hears not also mortal life!
Hears not we,unthinking creatures
Slaves of folly,love of strife
voices of two different nations!

A Beautiful Eco Farm

E-vergreen field forms a landscape
C-omposed of fruitful trees;
O-live, vine, apple, and berry attract birds, butterflies, and bees.

F-riendly to environment
A-nd not harmful to human;
R-aw vegetables you may consume,
M-aking you eat all you can.
I-n spite of the severe poverty,
N-ature offers life far from harm;
G-arden in the land area makes a beautiful eco farm.

Eco-Ego

Milton and Adam, egocentric Narcissists
capitalized idea of freedom from pessimists
Freedman and Smith, associates seeing all
to the very end of their own proboscises

no one knows better, than self (and them)
what society needs to get fettered again
what you don't know can't hurt ya, right?
capitalism can take away eminent domain

they reasoned government wants to regulate
all manner of every individual's desires
only to get the citizenry to relegate
and fill out the few forms they'd require

they (the government) don't need to protect us
from poisons in foods, or usury rates
we can all make our own lifeline decisions
it's all for oneself and no more debates

the crock that you fill with substance
is the crock that holds your own water
eco-governance only makes for encumbrance
grinding individualism to earth as a pauper

rooms they wrote from were filled with words
of what Adam and Milt wrote and said
to balance others with self they maintained absurd
'course Freedman and Smith - they're both dead

Eco-Friends

Please be an eco-friend
To make the earth livable
For the next generations.

Please reduce greenhouse effect
To show our children
We really do care.

Please don’t go for only money
Love the people as much as you can
So that they love you.

Please think deeply
Whatever I said
Before it’s too late.

Premium MemberMy Eco Echo

People made fun when I bought an Echo
they said it couldn’t out run a gecko.
Called it a four cylinder sewing machine
about the size of a large kidney bean.

In 01 when the gas was not as high
a manual stick I opted to buy.
I said gas will go up you wait and see
they jeered and laughed, all poking fun at me.

I pampered it with K & N filter
made sure not a thing went out of kilter.
Added a tornado to air intake
increasing mpg was piece of cake.

With windows rolled down, holding constant speed
forty-seven miles per gallon- indeed.
