as swallows land and swifts take flight
inside late noon’s last shards of light
the chill winds that descend on day
cause dense green swathes of reeds to sway
across the flooded vista’s ground
in harmony with nature’s sound
of shrills that echo through the air
from birds and insects everywhere
while stars with room to breathe and shine
light up a land divorced from time
to show the beauty and true worth
of life in balance here on earth.

Eco Thunder
Got me horse on the footpath ,
Old Thunder ain’t lightening quick,
Keeps me lawn a mowing down,
And leaves me them manura bricks.
Has his nosebag chaff n oats,
Oats for power is the trick,
Good company in the house,
Chomped the rug a little bit.
Have me Aussie Kneepad saddle,
Pads to keep you in a bit.
Don’t need protection, horse on guard ,
To kick n bite and strike halfwits.
Cheap to run at half a gallop,
Don’t jig jog the natural gait,
Aussie horses walk ,trot, canter,
Less kidney trouble old mate.
Horses had homing control,
Took the drunkards home with care,
If you got lost in the horse paddock,
Let him take you home ,
yes you’d get there.

E-co farm in Barangay Bakal
D-elights the gray and blue;
W-ith Kabihug being busy,
I-t's always fresh and
N-ew.
R-ise up on February ninth,
O-vercome the nature's harm;
Q-uest for bountiful harvest,
U-sing the ravishing
E-co farm.

People made fun when I bought an Echo
they said it couldn’t out run a gecko.
Called it a four cylinder sewing machine
about the size of a large kidney bean.
In 01 when the gas was not as high
a manual stick I opted to buy.
I said gas will go up you wait and see
they jeered and laughed, all poking fun at me.
I pampered it with K & N filter
made sure not a thing went out of kilter.
Added a tornado to air intake
increasing mpg was piece of cake.
With windows rolled down, holding constant speed
forty-seven miles per gallon- indeed.

Eco-Friendly Vehicles
By Rick Rucker
As an infant, when I went outside,
In a stroller, with circular wheels, I would ride,
As I became restive, and wanted to roam,
My parents bought me a trike, so I could leave home,
It did not last very long,
My legs soon became far too long,
My next wheeled vehicle had four,
One in front, one in back, and two next door!
It was shiny, and very neat,
With training wheels, and comfy seat,
It was really sweet,
But limited, in that I could not cross the street!
As I became somewhat bolder,
Truly, just a little older,
I ditched the training wheels,
Adventurous for me, but hardly worthy of news reels,
On that bike, I learned to steer,
In my neighbors’ eyes there was much fear,
At a very, very young age,
I got a motor bike, which was all the rage!
Possibly not the best thing I ever did,
But it taught me to try not to skid,
Many times the locals would see,
Blood from me, on the street, or a tree,
I have since owned several cars,
But, thank my lucky stars,
I seemed to sense the score,
The maximum number of cylinders of any of them: four!
I have recently bought two bicycles, for me and my fiancée,
So we can exercise, and play,
I laugh when I think of how much gas I have saved,
So someone else could drive his Escalade!

I think the car companies have done pretty good.
By making cars with something better under the hood.
Just try to imagine what they drove back in nineteen twenty.
I’ll bet you wouldn’t be seen in that today for love nor money.
In our cars we can travel from coast to coast;
without praying to the father, the son, and the holy ghost.
You know saving our planet shouldn’t be just a one way street
Why don’t we all pipe down, and get off our lazy little seat
Or we could all just preach to the choir like Jimmy Fallon.
Still waiting for the days of one hundred miles to the gallon.
I say put your money where your mouth is;
turn it around on them, and don’t give them the bizz.
If you’re at home go and sit outside.
When where you’re going is close; walk it don’t ride.
Think of all the money you’ll get to save and feel healthier too.
When we play our part the planet will keep its riches, and the Earth will thank you.
Yeah, who wouldn’t like a car that got three times the gas mileage, and didn’t pollute.
Instead of complaining about the way things are; lets all show we really give a hoot.

ECO FRIENDLY VEHICLES
There are problems with eco-friendly - among others
It is friendly for us but not for our brothers.
A rich man often secretly stands on a beggar -
Gasohol is often mixed from gasoline and cane sugar:
Great for conserving oil but oh-oh the strain
On forests of Brazil, cleared to grow sugar cane.
Solar panels on car-roof soak up sun : no pollution – nothing finer
But the panels are made in smoke-belching factories in China.
Long-life rechargeable batteries for a non-sunny day?
You guessed it, made in sweat-shops in Bangladesh by children who don’t play,
(To keep the cost low and affordable for us)
Why not sell the eco-car and take the eco-bus?
I guess the only really eco-friendly vehicles might be
Wooden wheelbarrows made from trees which died naturally;
Horse-drawn carts, with fertilizer-producing horsepower;
Hot-air balloons with sun-heat (as long as there’s no shower);
And olden-days sailing ships, although England’s forests green
Disappeared to make sure that the olden seas were pristine.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Please be an eco-friend
To make the earth livable
For the next generations.
Please reduce greenhouse effect
To show our children
We really do care.
Please don’t go for only money
Love the people as much as you can
So that they love you.
Please think deeply
Whatever I said
Before it’s too late.

Milton and Adam, egocentric Narcissists
capitalized idea of freedom from pessimists
Freedman and Smith, associates seeing all
to the very end of their own proboscises
no one knows better, than self (and them)
what society needs to get fettered again
what you don't know can't hurt ya, right?
capitalism can take away eminent domain
they reasoned government wants to regulate
all manner of every individual's desires
only to get the citizenry to relegate
and fill out the few forms they'd require
they (the government) don't need to protect us
from poisons in foods, or usury rates
we can all make our own lifeline decisions
it's all for oneself and no more debates
the crock that you fill with substance
is the crock that holds your own water
eco-governance only makes for encumbrance
grinding individualism to earth as a pauper
rooms they wrote from were filled with words
of what Adam and Milt wrote and said
to balance others with self they maintained absurd
'course Freedman and Smith - they're both dead

E-vergreen field forms a landscape
C-omposed of fruitful trees;
O-live, vine, apple, and berry attract birds, butterflies, and bees.
F-riendly to environment
A-nd not harmful to human;
R-aw vegetables you may consume,
M-aking you eat all you can.
I-n spite of the severe poverty,
N-ature offers life far from harm;
G-arden in the land area makes a beautiful eco farm.

Breathe deep into the shale,
vent your anger out into the deep blue
Strangle that rage in the seaweeds,
let the calming tortoise walk of peace
move slowly across the ocean floor bed
There, gently rest your troubled head,
and pacify your fiery emerald irises
Eco-green rage
cannon pointed at the toxic canisters
being dumped in
Eco-green zeal,
environmentally protecting
the baby seals
The trees, the air ... the birds in the air,
for these nature gems you care very much
You despise profiteering man’s
poisonous industrial touch
The water, the soil ... the creatures foraging in the soil,
for these natural jewels you’re willing to die
Seeing the spilt oil on the beach sand,
dirtying the pristine clean land,
makes you wanna cry
You have an eco-green glint of rage
rampaging in your eyes
Gamma-ray transformation has you hulking,
as you watch the earth
sink deeper and deeper into a
cesspool of man-made lyes
And the madder you get,
the stronger you get
Breathe deep into the magma shell,
vent your eco-green rage into the sky blue
Let your volcanic anger transform you,
and let it change
the surrounding sick atmosphere too
May your eco-green rage
pollute the perpetrators’ pockets
with shredded green confetti
Falling like radioactive rain,
draining their bank accounts steady
As their down pouring financial pain
floods the world economy stage ...
Tears of joy cool your hot, eco-green rage

Eco-friendly?
The Prius was so quiet
That none of the kids spied it
As it sped around the corner
And struck Lil’ Jack Horner
The driver didn’t stop
As the kids stood there in shock
Lil’ Jack landed with a CRACK!
And lay unmoving, on his back
Susan Burch
The prius actually is very quiet, so I created an extreme situation to make people think about that, the consequences of eliminating volume in a normal everyday vehicle.

In this economy

I'll just take one that I can pedal
