Night Epiphany

The rhythms of the night,
It opens the door to the light,
We’re guided into the day,
It’s a radiant way.

mother sings a song
i don’t sing along with her
though it blooms the day

Stone to Stadium

A wheelchair boy sits at the football ground,
Watching kids play with grip and hope around.
Someone asked to play, made him a friend for joy,
Realization strikes tears fall, he’s not just a toy.

No one paid heed
Like stone on the road, useless
Dreams win, crowd roars

I questioned God and asked Him why
I could not hear any reply
Then sudden light - no voice, no sound
A veil slipped away - TRUTH I found
all was for the best
whatever happens, He's there
In God, I can rest

A wound starts to glow,
It whispers below.
I follow its call,
It shows me my fall—

        ~harm becomes a guide
its quiet voice lifting me—
                 toward my hidden self~

Cruising along horizons unseen
where prurient rush of greenery lingers,
I will inhabit both the raw wildness
of Amazon Forest, and its mysteriously
spiritual essence...how sunlight would glint
on a montage of nature's exotic tableau , then

Dovetailing this wonder with the majestic
presence of Christ the Redeemer statue, could
this leave me enthralled as I glide out
from a sublmie out- of- body experience ?

Oh I shall but stop to allow such rare Portuguese
culture to assault my senses , that,

Down Rio's kinetic streets, plazas curve
into a labyrinth of carnival footprints...this is
Brazil's mad riot of a dance fest where I will throb
to the rhythm of samba's intoxication, on and on...

Then past old churches and warm townsfolk,
my soul will taste this locale's primal delicacy
while this roaming would fire the gypsy in me...

Brazil, Brazil...take me there !

I am your dreams
Curled up in a ball.
Napping vicious dreams,
Crouched against the wall.
Oh the stoic stares at dovetailing dreams.
Throw your fryer in the briar.
May the mist tear your eyes.
You haven't cried in months.
Bleep out all dull colors,
Let the celluloid solitude remain a-drip.
You are your heart's keeper.
Tend to your first original light.
The all-possible pulsar of our lives.

Midheaven

In this midheaven of demigods.
beneath this semidetached shelter
of semi-manufactured souls.
apart from the half-hearted's dimidiate
the bright-half departs
for dovetailing all of our halves.

Sunset Years

The one and only Master painter
gathers His colossal tools
and works all day
blending
mixing
enough color, moisture, light
Blowing clouds in, just so
Tirelessly, effortlessly
dovetailing all movements
for a sunset of exquisite beauty.

Old eyes have seen His hands
brush strokes line his face
and he tells of dovetailed
moments and years
waiting to bask in the glory of his own
sunset dear.
