The other by a back shot:-
This may sound funny,
But death is no silly joke;
Neither should pranks be:-

And its friend, “Sycophancy”!?!
As must be with war,
Let us crack down on greed and
Its collateral damage:

society all things are futuristic..
One could quote things conservatively
and liberally say

I saw it in her smile
she has such a silly grin
there ain't much confusion
I know the spell I am in
My lady loves true and true
she has a healthy relationship style
that allows me to be her friend
aint no exploiting me you see
I thank the lord
i found someone who loves me
been saving to buy her a ring
so we can marry
and can do our thing
when I first met her
we became affectionate
now I pray know one will
tear us apart

I saw in her smile
felt it in her kiss
she has a silly smile
she makes me feel like this

ding dong Avon calling

Ding dong!
Avon calling
it is 1953.
Women rush to host a fragrance party.
The Avon lady is lying in wait, ready to sell.

Ding dong!
You cannot come to toe door in your house dress.
Your lips will be blood red with lipstick.
Eyes are blinking back chunks of mascara from your brush.
You are wearing a chiffon gown and diamond earrings.

I laugh at these ads now.
When I was a child they seemed plausible.
Normal even.
As we saw them so many times, and I was young.

Grandads Dong

What’s gone wrong with Granddad’s dong, it used to be so long
Once the length of Granddad’s dong made Gran burst into song
His dong would go throughout the night, to Grandma’s sheer delight
And Grandad’s dong and Grandma’s song would brighten up each night

But now when Grandma wants a dong, my granddad grasps his mallet
It’s very old and feels like it’s made from a wooden pallet
He grasps it with both hands and Grandma yells, “Just swing that sucker!
Remind me how you swung it round in your best bib and tucker.”

So Granddad grips it in both hands and swings for all he’s worth
He hopes to get a lengthy dong and not just Grandma’s mirth
Granddad couldn’t tolerate another dong that’s dud
And so he whacks his mallet hard, which makes a dull, flat, thud

But Grandma said, “I see what’s been occurring with your dong,
And why of late your dong has been a little less than long.
A dull dong cant reverberate, a dull dong can’t play long,
It’s no good up against the wall; you should have hung that gong!”

the chimes playing
it’s stuck, it’s sunk
time’s up
for buttercup
then the judgment

Cop who tapped on my window
Can’t park there bud, off you go
Said my dress sense wasn’t good
I explained as best I could 

I don’t know where I came from
Why I’ve got no trousers on
Don’t know if I’ve been here long
Why I’m wearing this pink thong

I’m all tied up in this car
Strapped into this peephole bra
Need to get home really quick
And wipe off this red lipstick

Can you please untie this rope
This is not my stethoscope
Sir, I must be on my way
For I’m getting wed today

Copper said you might have guessed
You are now under arrest 
Thought I’d end up in the can
But that cop was my best man

Growing Up In the 50's With Ding-Dong School

Do you remember 
  'Ding-Dong School'
An 'educational TV show'
  Who were they trying to fool

Were the viewers at home
  or the teachers the ding-dongs
That I can't answer, but
  about the music I'm not wrong

'Cos I'd watch and I'd laugh
  all morning long
at the ridiculous lyrics
  of their 'hit theme song:'

"I'm your school bell: ding-dong-ding
  Boys and girls all hear me ring
Every time I ding-dong-ding
  Come with me to play and sing."

I'd laugh so hard that I'd cry
  My mother asked me, 'But why?'
I told her to check out some Dr. Seuss
  So I could turn my starving brain loose

'Ding-Dong-School' ran on American TV between
1952-1956.  (I was born in 1950).  If you want
to howl, just google the video of the show's 
theme song.  It's one-minute twelve-seconds
of pure embarrassment... Then the Russians
sent up Sputnik I, and we got a little more
serious over on this side of the world...

Two Diverse Reactions To Ding Dong

Ding dong

Child runs for the door
Eager, excited, thrilled
With whoever is there
Expecting the best possible scenario

Adult has completely different reaction
Slowly gets off of couch, heads toward door
Home invasion? Religious pamphlet-distributor?
Girl Scout Cookie sales? 

Experience and knowledge have taken their toll.

Hong Kong Dong

On an Asian trip, noticed a sore on my gong
Doctor Smith said “amputation will be needed before too long”
So I saw Doctor Wong 
“It's the Hong Kong Dong
Wait 3 weeks it will fall off and you'll sing a happy song”

Ding Dong

I was going to write a sonnet... 
But the words I speld were rawng
 
So instead I wrote a haiku 
But my syllables were too long
 
So I decided to write a lyric... 
And sing myself a song
  
But I forgot the words while singing it 
So I ended it...dingdong

I had a fair life with nothing special
Till he came along, he made a ding dong

I thought I was strong, yet he prooved me wrong
I'm Lost in his cute cues of ching chong

A lovely mess, no one could ever bless
I wouldn't last long, in his game of ping pong
