Walking in Winter without my doggies

I used to walk here with my dog, Betsy,
I used to walk here with my dog, Bo.
Both have gone up to doggy heaven.
Wonder if they're still making yellow snow.

Doggies Are Amazing

It's true doggies can tell time
Our guys are on a tight eating schedule
8:00 in the morning and 8:00 at night
But it seems they can tell time
They start growling and woofing at 7:30
As if to say “what are you waiting for?”
So as I say they can tell time
They possess a special gene just like us

Night Herd

Past a peaceful day out Western Trail way,
Our lowing herd settled on coarse sand bars.
We hands bunched under prancing prairie stars,
Once clean grub tins and cups were put away,

For tall yarn desserts, dance, and campfire songs.
Lit by burning buffalo chips and sage,
Our campfire blazed hot, challenging the dark,
Holding at bay the prairie wind’s chill bark.

Doggies Wearing Shoes

Imagine if dogs wore shoes
That certainly would change our view
Needing four
On the floor
WOW! They would be so confused

Our dog Jake attacks dogs on TV
Jumping up and growling as if they were real

Just love you and so
