Dehydrates Poems

Stop and Smell the Roses

Roses never smelled wilt quicker,
For the roses cry and since tears are salt water,
And salt dehydrates, the roses shrivel.
In addition, the whole plant might rebel against life
all because no one stopped and smelled the roses...
So if you ever spot a rose bush make a beeline for it
And sniff every single blossom.

Say I tell you this then relay it
The sun is hotter today than it's
Ever been I know I will have
A suntan today Crimson spark
Speak of black the dark blacker
Than the DARKEST NIGHT
I will be sun strong! Yeah I will be
That black man today I say

Brothers sisters relay tell that to
All them CATS In the SWELTER
I will be that black man today
The sun burns DEHYDRATES
EXCESSIVE  VITAMIN D deposit
I will be strong prolong this Immortal
Song! SUN STRONG!!
Blacker to be who I am
Blackest to be me
Sun strong step into the swelter
Pass it on RELAY! SUN STRONG!

Grave In Dust

A grave wherein my body lie,
Pounds of flesh overwhelmed with flies.

In buzzes they siren their movement hence,
Though I lay still in cadaverous silence.

Flesh dehydrates, cast naked in sunlight,
On I shrivel with skin pulled tight

Where hair once soft now turn to straw,
And eyes once wet now turned bloody raw.

Electrons once fired lie dormant in slumber,
As above storms a ravenous thunder,

Whence heaven grants its long-awaited rapture,
Where hell awaits some to capture

Those fated to a demise in dust,
Thereon no longer in faith they’ll trust.

Premium MemberPrayer

A thirstless, prayerless soul, soon slowly dehydrates.
At first there is no notice, but as purer water taints,
the presence of our Lord is quenched, His image seems more faint.
Others see it bye the bye, change not concealed from passing eye,
but the bearer is unaware, senses slowly running dry.

At last the thirst produces pain, a longing for the living rain,
to quench again this dry soul’s lips, again to meet soul’s thirst,
a pant that longs for quiet waters in dusty, parched terrain.
First, bowing knee must begin to fill the belly-centred being,
then out of which new waters flow, restoring life’s first meaning.

Dawn hurls
New day springs;
Happy birthday

~~~~~~~~~
Thursday insights
Touch of good cheer;
A sense of peace
~~~~~~~~~

Birdsong here
On yard ledge;
Blackbirds acapella

~~~~~~~~~
Humid hot heat
August winds bestow;
Sauna dehydrates
~~~~~~~~~

By this balcony
Glimpses of night skyline;
Starry intervention

~~~~~~~~~
Music floats
Ecstatic permutations;
Heart in-sync
~~~~~~~~~

Joy in the breeze
Hope greets love;
Peace exults

~~~~~~~~~
Now meets here
Know a sure ease;
Calm fits charm
Colorado Poem
It’s oh so hot in this writer’s loft
My words are dripping, sliding
The heat depletes every ounce of thought
and dehydrates my writing
This pen, it sweats every word it gets
and drenches the sweltering journal
but I’m determined to stay with my writing today
in this endless, relentless inferno
…ten minutes ago the heat bothered me so
but now I hear thunder and lightening
So, I grab my notebook and my coat from the hook
I’ll continue to do some more writing
I best finish though, before rain turns to snow
I hear that this weather is fickle
Colorado’s like that - we learn to adapt
as the rain spatters down to a trickle
Oh wouldn’tcha know It’s starting to SNOW
I can’t do my writing in mittens!
Oh wait, it’s okay - the sun’s back this way
(with the heat that I’m sweet on forgettin’)
Winnow the Wind
Soft as fine cobwebs adorning the vine.
Gentle as droplets that dew the roses.
Warm as the first taste of ruby red wine
Is love which once planted sturdily grows.
Harsh as the wind bending willow's branch.
Cold as the ice chilling mountain lake's  flow.
Hard as the drought that dehydrates romance
Is wilted love coping where bitterness blows.
Winnow the wind, divide chaff from grain.
Discover pure gold, come love me again.
Together
Tick Tack the clock ticks,
It is you that i want to think of,to help me with the picks,
This heat, dehydrates,
I am sure if not that certain that its you who nourishes.
I plough this land alone,
That i am not sure,because this long, thy lone,
On this wire i stand alone,
To the other side with you is what i wish from you alone.
Every evening, watching the sun go down, I want to be with you,
When the winter is too cold,I want to warm somebody, you,
When the times are hard i want to help somebody, you,
And in the long run, when Thy allows us, i want to tie knots with somebody, you.
You are all i wish for,
You all i dream of,
Your qualities are all i have been searching for,
Together with you is all i want when the lights fade off.
Please let's sing this song together,
Please let our hands hold forever,
Please let our dreams come true together,
And in joy i promise we will be, forever.
