The Curious Coif

Enigmatically stubborn to style, the coif
Some days it can be easily pulled off
Other days it requires an exorcism
Like Zoolander it can look like ‘Magnum’

Hides my receding hairline like a charm
Sophistication to my head’s yardarm
Its antidote is a very windy day
Requiring heavy doses of hairspray

When it works my lady wants to stroke it
I recoil in fear,

I'm curious about Jesus verses

For lunch, do you know what Jesus ate
on the very day that He turned eight?
Barley bread and goat cheese,
onions, greens, and chickpeas,
and for dessert ~ a honey-dipped date.
Here's a question, just between you and me ~

Delicate views reveal fractured strands
Grasping for straws, mere words alone
Hidden from anxiety is a solitary grace
We must share and embrace with fervor
Proceed with dignity, in tranquil peace

Roaming thoughts, unbridled perspectives.
I'm engulfed by my views and obsessions.
In hushed

I am only curious

I sit beside myself and think,
And try to evaluate my life;
Yes, my life that is blotted with ink
My life of which evaluation would cause strife.

A strife between the living and the dead,
Between our world and theirs too;
Between the ignoramus and the intellectually well-bred.
A conflict none can describe as new!

I sin and sin again and then

Seasons change, love remains; my heart stays soft.
In marital bond, your touch soothes the hard.
