Never mind the chatter.
You and your heart know it's only clatter.
Noise. Mere frivolous noise of no measure.
But deep inside your soul dwells a magnificent treasure.
Now, go and rise from the wrack.
Out into the beautiful vastness away from lack
Onward to abundance
Escape the chains of cumbrance
Setback to come back
Back!
Back!
Just like that
Gleaming gadgets galore...
Aquarius is speaking new lore.
Drive-thru getting longer
Hunger pains growing stronger
Pleasurable engagements and easing pain on fleek
Mindless stimuli and opioids we seek
Civil unrest amid quarantine
Masks coming off, no buffers between
Loud is getting louder
Apathy growing dour
Watermelons without seeds in abundance
DNA heisting and genetic gold cumbrance
My vision is crystal clear
2020: a year of fear
You are precious and transient
like an ocean, liquid and deep
viewed from an angle changeant
still, you only favor for keep
Love, you are my morning delight
without you I could never smite
the cumbrance of a darkly night;
Deprived of you I'd lose all might.

for I know no other way to speak
to those senseless thoughts that slip
beneath my cumbrance
mind
I am feeling cumbrance
for the nonce
ease my temples
