I remember the night the world forgot me. The moon was red as a bleeding wound, the wind thick with the stench of sorcery. My breath came ragged through my helm as I pursued the sorcerer through the ruins of a chapel, its walls long crumbled, its altar drowned in ivy. He was a wretched thing, cloaked in darkness, his voice like rust scraping against steel. I saw the glint of his eyes as he turned to face me, his lips curling into a smile that did not reach them.

Did you see how that cookie crumbled,
and then tumbled, and tumbled, and tumbled,
from the tabletop down to the floor,
and then tumbled and tumbled some more,
and did you hear the "Oh no!" that she fearfully mumbled?

Yes, Life Crumbled At His Feet Like Decay On An Old Log
Yes, life crumbled at his feet like decay on an old log
that morn was abjectly eerie had a low moving fog
and in the distance a low murmur rolled on in
In that bleak little world, in the country road a dead dog
Whilst in the teeming city was the ever present smog.
The dirty man was tall, beady eyed and almost blind
one could surmise may he was out of his hair raising mind
his apelike features like so much splashed on barnyard paint
In that washed up world, was there room to ever be kind
Or heaven help us, any leeway to relieve workers that grind.
Why does such mysterious manmade happenings so abound
is it earth is dying or rare truth never to be found
should Godlike justice appear to rear its judgmental head
Justice is too often at buried like snakes in the ground
And lay there like a useless orchestra playing no sound.
Yes, life crumbled at his feet like decay on an old log.
That morn was abjectly eerie had a low moving fog.

The cigarette sparks
Though small were non-bargaining
They turned cargoes into cinders
Thick smoke
Circling into the air
Before the fire engine arrived
While some flames still lingered
Amongst smoking debris
The last wall crumbled
And hollow darkness occupied
The spaces left
Amidst the fire remains
The smeared poles and pillars
Some people started collecting any valuables
In the miserable debris
Before the police arrived
Sad to say
The causes of disasters
Are not restricted to careless sparks
But rumours,greeds,crimes and political tricks
On purposes
They are more disastrous
Turmoil arose even very much greater

Today we should have met you
We should have held you close
But the angels all had other plans
They needed you the most
I hope you know we love you
We always will, for evermore
The pain will never go away
But with time, will be less raw
We know you aren’t alone there
You have family all around
By the eternal blood line
To our family your are bound
So play and sleep, protected
By your angel family who love you too
Until we meet again, sweet Elena
Your love will always shine through

crumbled, my children,

My faith so strong
crumbled until completely gone
when my precious child's seizures came along.
My faith had all been drawn
in the two year nightmare no prescription controlled.
My prayers searched for answers God seemed to withhold.
One night, I cursed God, I raged bold;
next, all seizures stopped as God proved
His love never stopped.

No other choice
as my shadow schemes in the sand,
lone cries on lovelorn wings give grief heart’s voice
over scorned wedding band.
Sandcastles are crumbled in undertow’s deceit,
longing and revenge; a million grains ‘neath my feet.
Avenged by briny blue’s retreat,
illusions built too closely to tide’s edge rejoice.

Ah, memories
that crumbled to the ground that day;
my childhood home, surrounded by tall trees-
demolished, swept away.
For progress sake . . . a bridge was built from town to town;
to span the river- house and trees were wrested down-
uprooted hearts, in sorrow, drown.
Crumbled memories hold fast- weeping in the breeze.

I CRUMBLED YOUR LEAVES
WITH GLOVED HANDS
AND MIXED THE RESIDUE WITH SAND
I PLANTED MY COLLARDS AND KALE
MY TURNIPS AND HORSRADISHES
SOME WERE IN THE PALE
I CRUMBLED YOUR PRETTY LEAVES
SO THAT THEY MIGHT NURISH MY PLANTS
COMPSOE IN THESE SANDS
FOOD FOR MY PLANTS!

THE CRUMBLED LIFE
I took the life that Christ gave me and crumbled it to bits;
Though He had made great sacrifice, I made a mess of it.
I didn’t think of what I did, I only wanted fun.
Though deep inside I knew ‘twas wrong, the ruin had begun.
When finally He broke my heart and I saw all the strife,
I cried before the throne of God about my crumbled life.
Now as I stood there so ashamed and cried before the Lord,
He took my tattered, crumbled life, through His blood it restored.
Now though I see a crumbled life so scarred and so abused,
He sees it justified and pure and one He wants to use.
Oh, Lord I thank and praise Your name for saving me from sin,
Now help me not to take my life and crumble it again.

I wake up in a bed barely rumpled
to confront truth of jarring, endless ache -
I am broken, my pale heart beats crumbled.
My nonchalant is an ascetic fake.
My furtive thoughts imagine you as dead.
Finality could be absorbed by me
quicker than abandonment’s gift of dread.
Love ifs of heart-wish will not set me free.
Longing to be numb or somehow just gone,
I sit in the hole of my once whole heart.
I struggle to simply, tightly hold on
and humble myself that healing might start.
He who once asked me for lifelong embrace,
left me holding just pain lacking all grace.

It was never meant to last.
You warned me that you'd trip. A relationship,
like a house, cannot stand when built on a foundation of sand.
Ours was sinking fast.
I didn't mind the continual shoring
but you didn't lift a finger. You linger,
in your past mistakes while the ground around us quakes.
Our ship broke loose from the mooring.
Crumbled around us, it all fell.
Torn apart, so I walked away on that devastating day.
What good are regrets? If I were making bets
I'd wager the past is where you still dwell.

The world around us is in a downward spiral, and we're too busy staring at each other.
Planets are colliding, throwing chunks of rock in all directions.
Somehow, through the rubble falling, we can always find our way to one another.
In a cloud of dust, we stand together. Love in our eyes. Hearts gaining speed.
And in this moment, we're not on an asteroid, hurling through the galaxy.
We're just here.
Just the two of us.
With gentle hands, we stitch the tears in soft ticking hearts.
Gravity doesn't exist when we dream of each other.
Our bodies float out into the dark abyss.
The stars trace a map for us.
Each passing minute is now an hour, until we touch each other’s skin, sending us belting off towards our destiny.
A light that will last an eternity.

Re : Old Poems
Bells of triumph clang,
Fortresses fain to hail thee
Men of valiant swords.
Glories thence fell, crowns crumbled
To dust, no wailings were heard.
,,
The wind about thy sceptre howl and cry,
Loft precipices trampled;
Ruined rich piles of graves.
