Stupendous performance as a wrestler
Owned his opponent; flipped to one’s back
Naysayers criticised and duly tossed
Showed he was confident; at
One time he was bullied; now tough
Naysayers soon find themselves looking up
Showed up and out into his adulthood
One of a kind; he’ll wrestle you with his tongue
Naysayers all tangled up; bully for him

EXCEPT IS IT NOT
MY QUERY YOU SHOT
QUESTIONS DONT STOP
A FOUND AMUSEMENT
THAT I AM THE BLACK KETTLE CRITICISED HYPACROSISY

And when healing has it's own beauty to embrace,
I rarely like my past to be rephrased.
Because in the past who I was I wanted to time stand still,
and thought that my happiness would come back and fill.
Just because I wanted to believe it, because I know I've gotten lazy,
And my personality has gotten shady.
Wonder though I do not at all,
since people had criticised me a lot in fall.
Sad that a sense of care is called cringey,
I sat on the swing and stand in the swingey.
While the Wind poured my face with drops of rain which clouds have squeezed out,
and the sun that came rarely once a month from the weather it fought.
Tears my soul didn't need to pour out,
Anger my soul has made already a Sound,
Confusion my sould has already found,
Love my sould had already in amount.
Changed I did never,
Just my heart will be closed forever.

Born in London in eighteen eighty nine,
a 'rags to riches' story just like mine.
His childhood was full of horrid violence.
In adulthood he was the king of silence.
In silent reels of comedy he found his fame.
Moving to America is where he made his name.
Through slapstick hilarity and tender tears,
he entertained the world for countless years,
Known for his speech in the Great Dictator,
mocked Hitler, but was seen as a traitor.
Criticised for refusing to go to war.
He was a pacifist, so it caused uproar.
He said his mum was the first to inspire,
he was knighted by the British Empire.
Married four times with eleven children,
had many affairs seen as forbidden.
His laughter was born from the deepest pain.
His artistic spirit will always remain.
He mirrored life in hues of black and white,
whilst painting dreams as a beacon of light.

Another year has come and gone.
There's so much that has gone on!
Life has thrown you quite a trial
Yet you face it with a smile.
Marriage can be overly romanticised
Or sadly can be criticised.
But what is seen in the love you share
Is real, is strong, is true, is rare.
It's a force that simply can't be stopped
Even when the boat is rocked.
Though health may deteriorate
Your bond grows, becomes more great!
One thing's for sure, whatever lies in store
This love will lift your spirits. This love so pure.

I pass by the nature everday,
To see it's beauty in every way.
The sound of the shiny streams that pass through every night,
Reminded me of your light which was blinding bright.
In the garden full of roses covered in dew,
Mine was covered in thorns a few.
I keep wondering about your sweetness towards me,
Which had turned into darkness to be.
I tried forgetting you,
But it was still quite blue.
Whenever I would stare at the twinkling stars,
It would remind me of you and your painful scars.
Everything seems dark without us,
And I think that's something we're both supposed to discuss.
Seeing two clouds merge in the sky,
Reminded me of your hugs in July .
Everyday just passes by me getting through you,
And I had lost all my virtue.
So, at nights I weep,
And in loneliness I sleep.
I kept pouring my eyes sometimes,
Until the day we finally criticised to survive
For being together in those happy times
Till we both were in coffins but alive.

The brumby of Australia, not known to be well bred
Some are tough as leather, but that not often said
More criticised that praised, for damage that they do
Muddying the waterholes, as cattle never do
The biggest problem that they have, their wish to have a roll
Find some nice clean water, then muddy up the hole
They will get to station horses, the mares have foul breed foals
The quality completely gone, and fences torn to holes
The stockman love to muster them, the wildest of the rides
Chase them way along the flat, and down the mountain sides
But we also have a saying, and is so very true
You should never kill a good horse, as some brumby chasers do
So though it is so very sad, we have to thin them out
We can only breed fine horses, if no brumbies are about
Your life depends on stamina, and full trust in your mount
It is your horse that saves your life, more times than you can count

I have lost so much of ME lately
I no longer know who I am
Don’t know if want to look for the lost ME
Or if I even give a damn
The lost Me no longer felt worthy enough
Just seemed to just annoy and irritate
Said and did so many things wrong
No longer anyone’s mate
The lost ME felt incredibly alone
So sad and unsure
Uncertain how to just be anymore
For fear of upsetting others more
The lost Me felt very criticised
On tender hooks constantly
Felt trapped and suffocated
No longer free to be ME
The lost Me no longer had confidence
In everything that was just ME
Pretending to be ok
As Me was dying slowly
So do I search for the lost ME
Is it even worth trying
Or accept ME is now gone
Just continue on
Silently crying….

THE OTHER CHEEK
When they mocked me for my lack of height,
I let it go over my head.
The best things come in small packages,
So my mother said.
Then, when they said I was ugly,
And was looking ten years older,
I shrugged and told them that beauty was
In the eye of the beholder.
When they criticised my social skills
And said I was a geek,
I simply smiled indulgently
And turned the other cheek.
BUT, when they mocked my poetry
And said it had reached rock bottom,
Well, that was a different matter.
I took out a gun and shot ‘em

A man upset
The world is getting thin-skinned
chief for a state department, a puffed-up one at that
was shouted at.
He cried and resigned.
Now he is suing the one that shouted at him, well
He will perhaps win the upper classes often do.
This proud man feels hurt and can’t sleep which
Is strange since he has sent many to their grave
Implementing policies that hurt many people.
He can dish it out, but can’t take being criticised
So, let him go with his big pension and tend the roses.

Time speak the truth better
Just say it as it is
You might not be listened to
You may not get that attention
Needed
But stay on the truth
Do not change it cos
Time will justify you
Time speak the truth better
I see hero being doubted
Being ignored
Being criticised
Overlooked at
And belittled
Yet they become
A hero with time
Cos I tell you again
Nothing but only
Time speaks the truth better

Exhale the pain
Breathe in the joy
Exhale the sadness
Breathe in the laughter
Exhale the hate
Breathe in the love
Exhale the criticism
Breathe in the complements
We get both joy and pain
We are surrounded by sadness and laughter
We are exposed to hate and love
We are criticised and complemented
The trick is to cling to the positives
Not to mull over negativity

Judge For Yourself
if you judged and criticised yourself as keenly as you judge and criticise others, you would never judge and criticise anyone ever again.
It is a far better and wiser thing to advise...
…. than to judge and criticise.

- APPARITION-
Cloudy coffee in a silky morn .
A harvester was feeding in a field of corn.
My wishing was that I wasn't born
Apparition.
Her love has left my bed unmade.
Her heart has turned into a hand grenade.
Blinded justice with a flaming sword
Muted sentence doused the written word.
Apparition
Freedom found in a guilty plea.
I did the deed but it wasn't me.
Here we stand in a court of law
Words exchanged when she slammed the door
Apparition
Misty mountain is missing you
Blood pressure over two sixty two
Replay the scene as she walked away
Filling out forms - latest title - divorcèe.
Apparition.
Sold the van in lieu of suicide
Sold the house but kept my pride
Drive to town before she drove me mad
Envy others for what they had.
Apparition
Sarcastic scene I always criticised
Wheelchair cripple wouldnt compromise
Cremated love tries to patronise
I was never there had a love affair.

[A poem to celebrate the 350th anniversary of Newton's discovery of gravity]
Sir Isaac Newton is my name;
I have a certain reputation,
Philosopher of great acclaim
Amongst the proud men of this nation.
With many problems I would grapple,
Not least of which concerned an apple.
I’d often laze beneath the trees
On long and balmy summer days,
And there with friends I’d shoot the breeze,
Expound ideas in many ways.
But then in lone activity
I framed the laws of gravity.
Studying mechanics, optics,
The bible and astronomy;
Also mathematics, physics,
The natural world and alchemy,
My jealous peers, they criticised
And often I was ostracized.
But I was knighted by the Queen
And my inventions gave men hope.
Stars and planets could be seen
With my reflecting telescope –
No rainbow colours to detract.
I’ve made my mark and that’s a fact !
