Premium Member Three's Company

Spooning my love, my kin would be proud

But, we're beginning to draw a crowd

Our dog began to cry

Then our neighbor dropped by

If "Two's Company...then...Three's "Real" Loud!"

Premium Member The Star Cab Company

Wide-eyed splendors at night,

Metamorphosis "Beams!"

Restless sleep or waking light...

Star cast visions and "Dreams!"

Quarantined Abandon

Allowance is issued by allegiance
Descent
De scenting the grain
Defection from account
The man above watches
As open journal
His story is carved
And reared
Nearer grown abundant

Recital of vow and order
un adhered
Ends actions statements
A fold is created

Company is kept seperate

Company

It is nice to spend time alone
but it is also nice
to spend time
with a warm hand
a warm voice
on your side.

Company On Rainy Days

their faces, their laughs, the echoes of our past
never leave
they hide beneath the cover of everyday life,
waiting for that moment
when the mood drops
and the days turn wet and gloomy.

they appear again,
just outside my line of sight,
whispering memories
of everything we ever did together.

my mind tells me they’re gone
to let go,
to move on.

i tell you,
i tell myself:
until the day we’re reunited,
i’ll wait.
i’ll hold onto every memory.

for you, my brother,
i’ll visit the place you lay.
for you, whose name i dare not mention,
i’ll wish you the best
with whatever’s left
of the heart you ripped out of my chest.

i’ve loved.
i’ve lost.
i’ve mourned.

now,
i face the shadows of the past,
still wishing
those days weren’t our last.

and on nights when my mind won’t sleep,
you all return
to remind me,
you’ll never let me rest,
and maybe
i don’t want you to.

Peter's Plateau

Always following company policy
you set a good example and it showed
qualified at your level of incompetence
while rather than carry the can
you continued to kick it down the road
and I'll be the first to say I'm last in line
on the lower echelon boot-licking list
but please trust and do keep in mind
by me the cheeks of your behind
are not about to be bussed or kissed
I know at work I am junior-most man
on the promotion ladder totem pole
but on the whole you've surrounded yourself
with employees who are quite inferior
and tho' overall you may be the boss
no you are not my superior

Good Company

Man's best friend
in need of a feed
is a friend indeed
so
with a knick-knack here
and a paddywhack there
give your mutt a bone
pat your pet
cuddle your canine
canoodle with your poodle
or smooch your pooch
and he'll hound you
'til the cows come home
wagging his tail behind him

Two's Company - Scout's Honour

"At my bitter wits' end,"
was her mutter.
"Both of them?"
facetiously, I did utter.
"I'm beside myself,"
emotionally, she cried.
"A split personality,"
jokingly, I replied.
"No, I am but one,
and all tangled up I've become,"
instantly, her rebuff.
"At a loose end then?"
I questioned, off the cuff.
"Tied up in knots, more like it,"
in distress, her response.
"Prepared, like a Boy Scout, I'll be your undoing,"
I observed, feigning nonchalance,
"Give the word, and then, who knows,"
hopeful, I had half a chance,
she heard me suggestively propose.

Wildebeest

There's no gnus
like no gnus
if you're a gnu
who likes no gnus
but if you're lonely
and agnother gnu
you'd like to see
as two gnu's company
yes indeed
believe you me
altho' it may
seem absurd
no less than
three's a herd

NOT FOR CONTEST

He took me to breakfast then suggested a movie -
he had a roomy, would watching at my place suit me?
Our first date, I wasn't feeling him, but then, okay,
maybe we'd become friends and good company.
When we arrived, I set the movie, he sat the couch.
I said, 'be right back, need the little girl's room.'
I returned to find him laying down stupidly exposed.
he'd apparently decided to remove most of his clothes.
"What made you think it'd be okay to self-display?"
"Your words, 'be right back from little girl's room',
I know it was a desire cue, so I got sexy for you."
"Leave, leave now."

Desirable, Desired

I’ve bloomed past blossom season, a frame held by flesh, fragile.
Wrinkles appear now, near feet left by crow.
You see the grey in the brown, see a patch of scalp showing,
you see the change in my gait, see my once brisk pace slowing.
But you don’t see me. I am no longer desirable, desired,
nor worth a glance from afar. A smile. You don’t see me.

Premium Member Hell for One!

Alone in my hell, just made for One.
Demons surrounding me, casting shadows without sun.
Fearless pride and scarred memories,
Dreams burn with love agonies.

Once blinding tears, now have run dry.
Fake laughter, hides a baby's cry.
The fog is getting thicker, there's no way out.
One soul hears another soul shout.

Let me go, I'm already dead.
The pain is finally gone, just numbs my head.
6 feet under this mental suicide.
You were that Angel always by my side.

I made a wrong turn, this is my destiny.
But something that day, died inside of me.
Your hell for One, needs no company.
The Devil, is now your only enemy.
