They went mudd’n down at the water hole
Getting their trucks filthy was the goal
Grandma said they needed to bless her soul
They baptized that old lady in the water hole
Everyone has a beard down in the holler
Because haircuts cost more than a dollar
The best rednecks live in squaller
My pig is Sophie, you may call her.
We ride our bikes off our roofs in Arkansas
We do not put on airs or say “lah dee dah”
We are the hillbillies, we have our own chainsaw
Come see us some time, you can dance with pa
We have bonfires and weenie roasts
We make smores, and peanut butter toast
If you like travel trailers, I will be your host.
No one will put on airs, be snotty or boast.

I've settled deep within the void,
An emptiness I cannot afford,
It's a journey of infinite tears,
My old age betraying my younger years.
Meds, they linger in my throat,
Hoping, on them I choke,
I wash it down with galvanized steel,
Nope, no thought to repeal.
I am a malignant star,
Nestled deep within a canyon scar,
Blurting out "all hope is lost!"
Covering my eyes, so as not to see the cost.
Brokenness, it did me in,
A lifetime of hell, for a lifetime of sin,
If you love me, don't even bother,
Just let me settle in to the void, for just
Pennies on the dollar.

Is there a God here—
In a land fractured by despair
Where hatred is embraced as a brother?
God is merciful—
Yet how could a God of grace
Dwell in a kingdom of malice?
We all ask
When shall heaven come
To transform our town?
We long for the day
Light will pierce this darkness
And love to overcome hatred.
When heaven shall come down
When will angels tread upon this soil
And finally offers our hearts solace?
When will we see that light
When will we see His face—
His gracious and merciful face?
When, when, when shall heaven come?

come down in the afternoon
we can walk to places where joy and laughter used to be
we can make new memories as we enjoy the charm of new beautification
come down in the afternoon
i can show you a waterfall that will take your cinnamon scented breath away
after that experience, perhaps we can take an excursion or three to see more
come down in the afternoon
i have the perfect flower for your perfectly natural baby fro
it will expound further on the effervescent radiance of your overall natural beauty
come down in the afternoon
that lemonade/apple cider spot is closing down permanently at the end of this summer
we can enjoy the ice cold cherry apple cider one last time
come down in the afternoon
it is always a pleasure and an honor to be in the presence of your esteemed company
though a couple we will never be, our friendship is a Rare Diamond Buried In Our Time....

I never took notice of
Aunt Jemima photo as exploitation
Nothing racial or stereo types (did you)?
All I remember was the sticky bottle
on our kitchen table, next to a stack
a sack of pancakes or bakes :
I wonder who going to take her place
Would it be Rachel Ray, or the pioneer woman?
Black lives matters movement
is cleaning house of justice
and the rats behind the walls is surfacing:
Would poems about Negros race be erasing?
The things we fear most will come upon ya!
Are we making appointment with another riots-- plus death?
Have we any ideas who is attacking our souls
It's like what the Spanish proverb says –
**"Drink nothing without seeing it; Sign nothing without reading it." Quote :**
When words go blind
Tracing one ideas
Would be so hard to recalled
Through darkness one will fumble
Leaving a life of consequences
Visionless:
we cannot save them from the angry wind

When stuck at home for convalescence
For prose or poem choose acquiescence
Scribble a thought about what is what
Soon you’ll be caught, and boredom forgot

What do you do when you've hit "the wall"
When there's no stamina left and your hope has stalled?
Do you scream at the top of your lungs,
Do you wring your hands that have been many times wrung?
Do you shake your fists at the heavens
or do you take a step back and learn the lesson?
This lesson that can be learned only through endurance
and clinging to the calm assurance
That this present problem will test your mettle
So that in the future you will not settle
For anything less than complete victory
Despite the odds and despite the injuries
Just as a blacksmith strikes the steel
until its shape and strength have become ideal
So too are we "struck" and formed divine
by these troubles we have been assigned

Breezes blowing, balmy and sweet.
Leaves falling gently at my feet.
Crispy sounds I hear, as they land nearby.
Beautiful colors floating down from the sky.
Lovely time of year, when the leaves come down,
Covering the whole Earth with red, yellow, and brown.

bouncing pouncing jumping up down keen
somersaults on trampoline
enthusiasm giggles
out doing big brother’s errs
bouncing higher higher like jumping beans
what goes up must come down what the hack
flip, lull …. plop flop flat on his back
turns head over heels in air
landing on her feet with flair
this is the way you do it with knack

In that spark, at summit
When sky is just on the way and is not the limit
Like lime being squeezed out of last drop of juice
As throne and king, in sweet affiliation, never in truce
High up taunting the call of gravity
Columbarium in tornado, reunion with plummeting abyss a true test of vitality
Motivation a lambasted frugality, an eternal ignite for those who drown
Is in action when what goes up starts to come down

Like a sun goes up each time when morning comes
It sets in the afternoon as starry night is about to rise
So I started to think when will this cruel man fall?
Plays like a kid making the city like his toy
People yelp in pain for they are ruthlessly controlled
Is there someone who’s brave enough to rule this world?
This cruel man keeps going up and must end his greed
Must come down and start to bring desired peace
Step down and don’t go beyond your evil plans
Make the world ours for this is our land
Anything for now may smoothly run in your hands
But anything could happen like a snap
Just like a familiar adage that I used to know
“What goes up, must come down…”

The grass is green and the sky is blue
The sun is hot and the rain wets you
As the sun rises the day is new
This we're told but is it true?
Ice is cold and fire is hot
Green is for go and red is for stop
Down is below and up is on top
We're told they're opposites but can they swap?
Lightening we can see and thunder we can hear
Distance is faraway and close is very near
Quickly looking is a glance but any longer is a stare
How do we know what to accept and what to fear?
How do we know what to choose?
Have we told all this just to confuse?
Do we have to believe or can we refuse?
I have a feeling they're just one persons' views
Time goes by when the clock is wound
It's not missing when it's been found
If you can turn a smile into a frown
Then what goes up must come down

Beautiful Lake Erie bound by New York
Romantic honeymoon, bottle and cork
It went up with Viagra
spilled unlike Niagara
racing fast to arrive before the Stork!
