WHEN SHALL HEAVEN COME DOWN?

Is there a God here— In a land fractured by despair Where hatred is embraced as a brother? God is merciful— Yet how could a God of grace Dwell in a kingdom of malice? We all ask When shall heaven come To transform our town? We long for the day Light will pierce this darkness And love to overcome hatred. When heaven shall come down When will angels tread upon this soil And finally offers our hearts solace? When will we see that light When will we see His face— His gracious and merciful face? When, when, when shall heaven come?
