Words, like a gentle breeze, can whisper untold tales,
Carrying secrets through meadows and rustling in sails.

They can build winding sentences with clauses that flow,
Connecting ideas where knowledge can grow.

But words can also storm with righteous might,
Unleashing emotions that set wrongs to the right.

They can twist and turn with a poet's keen art,
Creating unseen worlds that capture the heart.

So choose your words wisely, with purpose and care,
For they have the power to build or tear.

Like the wind and the storm, they can soothe or sting,
But in a poet's hand, a beautiful song they can sing.

The Undying Voices

1952. Curfew was on and roads were vacant.
Some armed hands were still haunting there
To hush every possible roar or uprising rant
With the spiteful hammer of thunderous fear.

But a murmur of revolution was soon heard
As thousands of spirited people marched on
With the resilience of restoring their barred
Language from the threshold of extinction.

They protested peacefully carrying placard
Of their clauses until the armed hands fired
And soaked them with blood in vain to retard
Undying voices that can never be smothered.

Each drop of the sacrificial blood has built
the monument of revolution that will always
Shine as a star of Devotion and forever quilt
The vigorous souls with its contagious rays.

Their immortal death blazed a fire of liberty
in hearts that were in the grip of oppression.
Soon, it became a furnace that burned Deity
Of Oppression and Bangladesh was born.

Pleasure Clauses

We are the only bonds of pleasure
We drink a cup of wine at night
A slave in the illusion, in the illusion of our pleasure
Don't think otherwise, don't have a heart

Alone in the night of the rush of dreams
Steps slowly in the dark
Bring your imagination with us
We are the only chains of pleasure in illusion and calamity

Faith In God

As you were stilling down the pine avenues
You caught a despaired twinkle in your eye
That had a semblance of doubt and perplexity,
When your eyes meet the sky, your mind twisted
Downward to the center of tremendous opportunity
In the midst of an overcoming shadowy Figure,
Then as a crimson Passer-by noticed everything
Of the confrontation between clauses of the sharp
Suitor and of a shark swingling, creeping, dwindling
By the the Ocean of your innermost hell,
There in front of a café where you used to meet her
Your hands caress the pavement that you judge
Too frail like the sounds of whisking by, controled,
Scrowled by the scowl of your inner feelings,
You stump your feet then High Heavens
Everything around you turns to Yellow deciphering :
The Sun has shined by the Rivulet of demise!

Open Word Classes

Open Word Classes

In language there are classes, we are told,
Of words both new and old.
Nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs too,
And among them, open word classes few.

Nouns, the names of things and beings,
Verbs, actions that give them meanings.
Adjectives, describing how things are,
Adverbs, telling when and where they occur.

But in the open classes, there is more,
Words that keep growing, like an open door.
Interjections, expressing emotion pure,
Conjunctions, connecting clauses sure.

Prepositions, showing position and relation,
And articles, signaling a specific sensation.
These open classes, ever-changing and free,
Reflect the dynamism of language, you see.

For new words can be added with ease,
As culture and technology shift and tease.
And though rules and structure remain,
Open classes expand, our language domain.

So let us celebrate the open word classes,
For they reflect how language amasses.
A rich and diverse range of expression,
For us to use in endless succession.

Dear God, this is your old tried and tested friend, Milt,
I’ve always been a friend of your son, Jesus the Christ
You know since childhood I have worshipped you full tilt.

But, on occasion, I’ve felt like I’m the victim of a heist,
And my tithe is being used to promote radical causes
I’ve always been a friend of your son, Jesus the Christ.

“Love thy neighbor” is one of those essential clauses,
My Christian community is turning away the homeless
And my tithe is being used to promote radical causes!

I always thought “welcoming the stranger” timeless,
But my church wants sovereign borders and walls
My Christian community is turning away the homeless.

My ancestors all came from distant lands of the Gaels,
Foreigners seeking a place where they can live in peace,
But my church wants exclusive borders and solid walls.

I love America and may it, as a secure haven, increase
Dear God, this is your old tried and tested friend, Milt,
Foreigners seeking a place where they can live in peace,
You know since childhood I have worshipped you full tilt.

There's No Way Out of It

For a diet there’s a number of clauses,
and natural food brings many applause's,
so for veggies I yearned,
until I soon learned,
most of us die from natural causes.

Words and Phrases

Words keep coming
But they mean nothing

Your world is in terror
Your face frozen in horror

Phrases and clauses put together,
You can’t understand altogether

Thoughts are running through your head,
Never be able to stay ahead

They make no sense,
Utter nonsense

You try to make the pieces fit
But what you made is not it

Forever in torment,
Never entertainment

Stuck in the endless maze,
Trapped forever in the haze

Not able to for a word
No single noise heard

But the raindrops fall anyways
And you and motivation part ways

Mrs Claus said something so obscene is Santa's ear!
He turned beet red and said, "Look up, lovely wife
at the winter skies, wifey, my dear!"

Up, she did look, and he gave her a vaccine as a surprise.
Being an avid, known vaccine hater,
She despised how he had baited her!

The elves came out,to get the lovely couple calmed down.
After all, Christmas could not start with neither an argument
nor a frown!

The concerned elves made some strong eggnog, extra loaded
with the strongesst rum..
The Clauses soon mellowed out!
For a hug, a dance and then some~~~

Santa got off, on time, without a hitch!
All children got their wishes and toys!
So very blessed, and our world was so joyfully enriched!

Friendship is also a contract entering into by two parties binding two hearts with no clauses therein to demand anything than standing for love, trust and understanding.

Six relatives have I, all much like me.
The ones most common are WHICH, THAT and WHO.
There’s also WHOM. A formal dude is he.
WHOMEVER and WHOEVER I like too.

These relatives, with last name “Pronoun” are
quite important fellows, for their causes
include being descriptive. Each one’s a star
showing up to start adjective clauses.

Partial just to people is dear WHO,
WHOM, used less often, has a formal ring.
WHICH likes animals and things too.
THAT likes folks, animals or anything!

Having the distinction of universally
applying to people, the two that have this fun
are WHOEVER and WHOMEVER, but don’t forget me!
Unique am I. My name is WHOSE – the possessive one.

A Depressed Soul

Knees against a forehead
Eyes hiding with no one searching
Feet chilled by the warmth of a tile
Anger ballooning, despair puncturing
Passive by nature, tortured by sutures.

Drops flow to flood, from transparent to red
Bonds of blood, not bound to bear
Actions seen, a joke glinting of an edge
Words could soothe, if only the tone was true
Tomorrow made fictitious, by every second passed.

Rest should be a means to recover
Dreams are feint where reality threads
Asleep but awake, lying is deceptive
Living in doubt, fear is a constant draught
Misery presides over expression, concealment, a futile tendency.

Able limbs, succumb to aching muscles
Exercise relieves, when discipline is not limp
Reflections diminish, definitions visibly inhibited
Comfort is sought in volumes, defeat consumes most
Hungry for happiness, groping for restraint.

Silence strangles, vocalisations stuttered
Language a forte, tearing away at a fort
Coherency absent, clauses incomplete
Penance maybe, for cultured sins
Seeds of hope, infertile to a depressed soul.

Crime of Passion

My love has never been for sale

I've rented it out on occasion

Most often the arrangement ended

in a turbulent eviction

There were tenants seeking only temporary occupancy

They fled undercover of night

back into their darkness of deceptive intention.

Others unwilling to conform to
restrictions of a lease

with clauses of commitment.

Leaving in search of a more flexible arrangement.

Then there was you

Without bribe or allurement

You seduced my resolve

In full view of my heart's dauntless safeguards

Such a skilled thief and benevolent larcenist

You stole my heart
Because I was unable to give it.

A crime commited in the name of endearment.

A Letter From Joesus: As Transcribed By No One Important

Dear followers, bandwagon and otherwise. The time is upon us that dissenters have started questioning my credibility. Being a freethinker and one who values evidence, logic, and reason, I assure you, my credibility is intact. Although, I sometimes do not prove my credibility through traditional means. Take, for example, MLA. The only format I’ve written in. But, alas, problems with style and format present themselves…
I do not constrictions of MLA, or any standardized system. those Grammar Nazis, and their Luftwaffe of subordinate clauses. I wanna do things how I wanna do them. I’m not taking credit for anything that isn’t mine. I give credit where credit is due; game recognize game. But don’t make me jump through hoops and all sorts of convoluted bull. My credibility should not be questioned, but rather, your archaic system should.
