An impish chow chow-chihuahua mix
is again up to his old nasty tricks
Orange fluffy and small
people think it’s a doll
Then he’ll yap-yap-yap-yap just for kicks

A sweet Chow Chow called Charleston Dinah
Was court-ordered to go back to China
Told: Leave the U.S.
You made this covid mess!
She arfed: You nut I’m from North Carolina!

An old chow chow in Albuquerque
is often called odd, weird, and quirky
He drinks only prune juice
His best friend is a goose
and on Thanksgiving he weeps for the turkey

Chow bowl and the hound are at odds.
So sick of the corn and pea pods.
Begs make a mistake.
Bumps table for steak.
The hound takes no time for applause.

While you’re around he pretends to be with you until the bitter end. He never intended to honor his words, nor carry you through thick and thin, to have your back or be your friend. And when at last the spell is broke, Turn around...Take a second look.....

my plane crashed
on my way to see
my crush so now
on a desert isle i
'm sharpening a
stick into a spear
for though a veg
etarian i wouldn't
dare eat a berry or
any greens knowing
nothing about local
things but damn well
know what a wild pig
would taste like cook
ed over a fire on a spit

Many vegetarians think
Brutish carnivores need a shrink
But pigs and cows show
That just is not so
Herbivores can't smell their own stink!

Let's go chow down.
Was he serious?
I could barely walk now.
Then I thought of the buffets.
All nine of them.
And the shrimp.
And the lobster.
I could go in my pajamas if I wanted.
So I rolled myself out of my teeny tiny not-so-great room
And I headed for Buffet number eight
So glad I had come on this cruise with my husband
Who was used to seeing me in my pajamas.
As we passed pajama-clad people in every corridor
I began to wish I had brought my zebra zip up suit.
It has no elastic around the waist whatsoever.
Cruises are all about eating.
If you know what you are doing.
And I do.

Dragon’s reputation is not great;
Children were never meals for him.
Instead modern day dragons,
Like people food the best;
Especially the
Succulent taste…
Fried chicken
Breasts and
Legs.

Army cooks don't do anything wrong
By feeding a "Mad Killer" throng
& that's rather droll
Like a troll on the dole
Who freaks out on a Viet Cong dong

Disappointment settles inside of us
But hunger does things to sadness that scowls
This is called numbing the pain to pain free
Mummified we ingest and hate and frown
Noticing pain swallowing punishment
A biscuit without eggs without friends
Seated beside horror and lust and shapes
Hoping my trust in God trusts with no end
In fact that is the untold lock release
The unsung song that reached its peak then dropped
Sporks poke stir and separate eat from no
Then stop repeat restart stir repeat stop
Claustrophobia a dance song on mute
Patience that stands strong stays strong and frames truth...

I could give you a golden glove
Send you a morning dove
Let the stars fall down on you from the heavens above
But they'd never match my love.

My Tasha Girl happens to be
a mix of both Chow and Collie
and I suppose it's largely due because I'm the guardian of she
that I don't see Tasha Girl as a mutt or other cross breed.
In my eyes she's so beautiful and a breed all her own so unique
and strangers also have been captivated by my Tasha Girl's beauty.
Don't believe me?
Her photos are in my blog for all to see.
