The cattails and frogs were less than amused today
By mallard duck, dressed so weird down by the bay
Duck named Tuck was getting ready to dive
Bees laughed at him, and raced back to their hive

Damselflies and dragonflies flitted around merrily
They liked ducks who acted silly and prissily
Did you see his suit? It is from way back in the day
Is he going to dive? Do you think he’ll find his way?

These were all thoughts zooming around the bay
His pink inner tube was ridiculous, by the way.
Jump already the marsh said to the crazy duck.
But he chickened out, this duck named Tuck.

Epilepsy

The first time I had a seizure,
I was in class, at the front to be precise
I'd been called up to do a sum
When in a fit I was down on the floor

I can't remember much after,
But I know I went home to a worried dad
Mum was no more, that was sad
But her grave still fresh, dad couldn't lose another

I went back to school to a worried lot
People who'd now keep away from me
While some told me I'd chickened out
That that was my only way out

They mocked me, called me sleepy willy
Left notes on my locker with faces on
Told me that was me lying on the floor
Saying cat got my tongue this round

Next time I had a seizure was in the toilet
This time I hit myself on the toilet seat
They had to break me out,
It was serious, I had meds to help me

I had to change schools by now
Teachers feared the worst for me
And my dad was tired by now
Of having to hear me nag and complain

This days I pretty much lead a normal life
Cause I've stuck to my meds
And since we skipped towns I've got a new slate
And I'm not gonna spoil it by telling them my condition

After Trump

After Trump
Now that Trump has gone but not for good
What shall we hate next?
When our love affair with Joe Biden is over shall
We look a bit closer to his politics we know he is
A politician for all-season I like to ask the question:
How come he has gone from relative poverty
To very rich?
The answer is that he has been paid by big business.
To represent their interest and only theirs, the people.
Are only useful during election time.
He has already adopted some of Trump´s policies
as for the variety, his top administration is stacked
with Israelites, most of them with two passports.
Obama had a historic chance to make Palestine
a sovereign state, but he chickened out.
There is little chance Joe Biden will attempt to free
Occupied people.
The democratic party are on the warpath and for those.
Who upsets them will be silenced?

Premium MemberBring a Bodybag When I Am Ninety Two

My friend and I were talking about retiring.
I chickened out. I like big money.
She put in her papers.
She is older than me by a year and a half.
I will miss her terribly but I cannot do it yet.
Two weeks at home was two or three days too long for me.
I will go out in a body bag when I am ninety-two.

A Man Who Loved To Eat

A man who loved to eat, Fish, eggs, fruit and meat,
But from his mouth,
The chicken chickened out,
In vain he tried to get back his treat.

Premium MemberI Wish

When the bigger kids bullied me in elementary school
When they teased me, told me I wasn't cool
I wish I hadn't just kept quiet, enduring their ridicule

When I was a bit older
And didn't know "how to act with girls"
Wish I'd stood my ground and told them
I didn't care for them or their social swirl

When in college the pressure grew to try some marijuana
Wish I'd simply told my friends that "No," I didn't want to

And when at work my boss required me to lie to clients outright
Sure wish I'd had the guts to put up a better fight

For all those times I chickened out or just didn't have it in me
My regrets grow as deep as the depths of the sea
As episodes unresolved fester still, in internal infamy

The Not So Friendly Mirror

Form. Florette 2. Wrote for contest but didnt submit. (I chickened out)

Mirrors reveal what you can't hide
The rolls of fat your large backside
The legs once slim now plump and veined
The face once smooth now lines remain.
Yet dimples showing that you are smiling inside.

Too Afraid

I said I would tell you.
I lied.
In truth,
I'm too afraid.
Every time, I come so close,
But chickened out
Was too scared.
To tell you.
That I like you.
Hoping you were stupid anough not to know.

Notes

My friend and I decided
to both give our crushes notes,
saying we like them...

She gave him hers,
And I chickened out,
Had to make sure that

It was exactly right...
And now I get cold feet,
cold hands,
and my face turns bright
red whenever I see you...

People say you won’t be interested
And I believe them...
Does it matter if you already know?
I’m nervous...
My heart is beating...

and that’s all I hear...

How Funky Is Your Chicken (Dodoitsu)

The rooster began to dance
It was raising quite a sweat
Barnyard pals joined in the fun
All funky chickened
