Change of Life

Change of Life
My life has lately taken a divergent path,
I have taken a fresh road,
far from the impassioned wanders of my youth.

Today I look for the truth,
    not the sated feeling,
which once sent my senses reeling.

I paid the cost,
    with many years lost,
for my pander locked in amber.

Change of Life

My life has lately taken a divergent path,
    age has slowed me down,
I am no longer champing at the bit,
            I seek a little calm,
                the reading of a psalm.

I no longer seek the promotion of strife,
as I did in earlier life.
I no longer pitch an angry fit,
or cuss like a demon from the pit.
but soak calmly in a warm bath.

There comes a time and an age to calm down.

Premium MemberStillness Continuum

Flowing in vibrancy needs no effort,
in view of absence of ego craving,
simply being innate aliveness spurt,
wherein we are in stillness observing
waxing and waning of moon orbiting,
attempting not change of life as it flows,
save resonating with bliss throbs mellow,
recognising alignment uplifts soul,
infusing in heart, a radiant glow,
tranquil, blissful presence, making us whole.

Beneath waves that concede a change of life
shapes of shifting forms
hidden in ocean depths
murky coloration of perpetual flux
as fish without eyes cruise crustacean cousins
in a midnight zone of black
midst trouble changing sea acidity
flowing currents once flush with species

It's peaceful at the bottom in what can't be measured
for the deeper one goes the familiar disappears
like seaweed that displaces coral
turbulent reef on the cusp of scant recovery

Underwater paradise,
surface waves of imposing rhythm
forms that wash to shore
life in the voracious jaws of damage
what sustains a teardrop
when anchored eyes open

Shield Me

SHIELD ME

This puddle of tears I stand in, my troubles of rage breaks forth like madness into the world. Only to show the people in the world what I have become. A need for change shouts from the top of my lungs, free me, I am a man that did many wrong. Save me, dear Lord save me. My path is broken and it’s hard to carry on. I know I am sufficient for your love, my days of darkness I seek no more, let me shine forth by the kindness of my heart. Silver and gold became their gods, a change of life is not within their hearts.

From the deepest of me pull it out of me, the feeling of love, to care for one another, fighting for a change because you care. I know father I have falling, falling over and over again. I fall, I get back up and pray to you once again. Shield me.

Premium MemberSixteen Years Ago

I met you on a course sixteen years ago
To this day I can remember your face
When we arranged, I didn’t think you’d show?
The museum was our secret meeting place

Though I am certain you have forgotten me
That moment left a deep, lasting impression
And if we met now, I’m sure you’d agree
I don’t need a priest or offer any confession

You gave me hope while tearing my life apart
I galloped and took chances to message you
I shared my thoughts, but never my heart
It was going nowhere, and we already knew

Yes, you were the boost of self confidence
You banished all my hopeless, despondent, apathy
You proved it isn’t ever, ever, too late to dance
And I fell when you shook my family tree

My God the pain as I opened the door
The agony of being free, yet so alone
Four sets of eyes tortured me when I Picked
up my Sainsbury’s bags and I left home

Sixteen years passed since the change of life
I want to thank you with all my heart
Although I left my kids, I escaped my wife
You were the blue touch, the catalyst, the start

Now We Play a Selfless Game

As we sit inside our homes
We sit together and alone
change the world we have known
A brand new side of life is shown

Life so selfish and fast paced
our aims, ambitions out of place
The daily grind, the daily race
we now live without this the case

We seek to further for selfish gain
now we play a selfless game
a boat which we all row the same
to keep ourselves and close ones safe

And how the air now tastes clear
the wildlife which does appear
appreciation in national cheer
it took the fear to get us here

But now we know the good of change
neighbours whom are not estranged
Togetherness at first quite strange
all to stop the germ exchange

An understanding we now include
social distance not seen as rude
I do it for me I do it for you
And the rest do it for each other too

A change of life unforeseen
a care and unity never been
Humankind within a dream
A human race we had never seen

From these moments we see the best
with a new anxiety our only stress
as we lay our past ways to rest
I hope that soon you are my guest

The Continuous Culture

As none would be, yet still exists,
One who creates a perfect bliss.
So sensational as to be unbelieved;
Yet tales are told as first was seen.

The image there for all to see,
Gave birth to words and epiphanies.
A mind of light and stars and streams.
Connections made and ways believed.

And all upon a head of clouds,
Were seen a million times and how,
All understood the thought as one,
As all never needed a mirage in the sun.

Electric bolts from mind to mind,
Shared all the knowledge of all mankind
And as man all stood on land to view the sky,
Beneath the moon and sun all was clear to the eyes.

At last a chance to see the next footstep in humanity.
A language born a long time ago,
Was able to be used to translate,
And now all into a brighter future can go.

The mind of a hive, a continuous culture.
A change of life; breaking the spell we were under.

Premium MemberThank You Walt Whitman

thank you Walt Whitman

oh you foolish ones
bordering on change of life
standing still for a moment
before full manhood embraces

how brave and daring
strident, filled with never ending life;
brash colts with tricks and
shameless lures for pretty young things.

exquisite in your urges to hold on
keep childish freedom safe
tucked beneath a wishful heart
in that summer, that blissful summer

came a roar, a grinding metallic clack
shatters down the hills
with siren sounds heard only in melodious tones
by boys about to burst from youth

seasons change, our autumn
reaps in radiant red all of
those peach-fuzzed near men
gone to strange places far from us

this fall harvest takes
it never feeds but grief and loss
as triangle folded flags fill arms
and blue black rifles air their song.

I still hear your laughter
full throated fiercely joyous
bite into winter wind
and echo down the canyon wall.

A Friend Full of Pain

Her heart cries
But her eyes shed the tears
As she listens to the bad news
And all that she hears
Her soul is lost
To think all that she has lost
Remember the good times
Makes you want to forever cry
To think of whom she loves the most
And how that night he died
What would a sister's life be like?
Without her brother who changed her ways
To love and faith, to scared and pain
I watch her as she shortly breaks down
Already gone, don’t know what to do now
Just want to cry right along with her
But I’m trying to be strong for her
For her and her pain
A change of life, is part of her future
A friend full of pain will always remain

Premium MemberMy Manopause

As I now enter my winter years, I'm experiencing that Change Of Life.
It's similar to puberty except in reverse. Hormones decrease as well as collide.
In these later years testosterone production comes to an all time low with men.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised to learn that I'm now 100% woman
as my testosterone is now overthrown by an abundance of estrogen production.
I still have my strong sex drive, but I think now I'm a lesbian
with all of this estrogen now flowing through out my system.

Wedding Bells

A new phase of life realized
Gifted by the year 2012
Roles changed completely
Made life all more beautiful
Time came to become wife
Everywhere music so unique
A different sentiment smiled
Happy sadness struck the eyes
Sweet memories of child life
Moving ahead like shopper’s pride
Preparations for marriage started
Get together with relatives & friends
Prepare lovely dance numbers
Eat and joy with dreamy smile
Talking to the would be all moment
Waiting for the special day
And then it came with all spark
I became the bride …
Standing with the love of my life
To unite beyond eternal
2012 gifted me with all the best
Change of life took a new span
Thanks for the glory life gained
In just a day all of it changed
Now the journey is so anew
Wish it may grow more special
Years may bring in more luster
2012 marked a start of…
New life, new hopes… new stride

The Change

Something happened that was strange.
My wife decided to have a sex change.
When she said she was going through a change, I thought it was the change of life.
I came home and was greeted by a husband instead of a wife.

I packed his bags and threw him out the door.
I sure as hell wasn't going to be married anymore.
Now I'm remarried and she wants to have a sex change too.
Somebody please help me, I don't know what the hell to do!

(This is a fictional poem.)

Fate Final Piece In the Jigsaw

Reflecting back, on a change of life
a marriage previous failed
few relationships, not me
love falls in your lap, unexpectidly

One day, a monotonous script
the next, oyster of the world begin
lighting my world, like a full blown moon

that will always be there
We both have trudged murky paths
til fate did join us at one
happiness,love,trust even same thoughts

my soulmate, be fate, life so complete.
I will never forget your words to me
"I`ve found my final piece in the jigsaw"

And this applies to me.
