Eggless Chicken

When a chicken can no longer lay any eggs,
it is generally because,
the chicken has reached that change of life
known as henopause.

My Love

To wake up with you in my mind
To look and you are what I find
To touch,To love,to grow attached
To be the only perfect match
I long for your everything
Only for you the seasons bring
The change of life,a new beginning
Only so we could wake up singing
Together

Change of Life

Change of Life
My life has lately taken a divergent path,
I have taken a fresh road,
far from the impassioned wanders of my youth.

Today I look for the truth,
    not the sated feeling,
which once sent my senses reeling.

I paid the cost,
    with many years lost,
for my pander locked in amber.

Bill of Rights For Husbands

That’s not my elephant, this here’s Ella my wife
She claims the extra pounds came with her change of life

She now takes ballet, but watching her dance in tights
Sends chills down my spine and gives second graders frights

Her plate’s piled high with lasagna and spaghetti
Chowing down on our drive to the Serengeti

I think every husband should have a bill of rights
“Euthanasia,” I’ll plead, when they read her last rites

Stillness Continuum

Flowing in vibrancy needs no effort, in view of absence of ego craving, simply being innate aliveness spurt, wherein we are in stillness observing waxing and waning of moon orbiting, attempting not change of life as it flows, save resonating with bliss throbs mellow, recognising alignment uplifts soul, infusing in heart, a radiant glow, tranquil, blissful presence, making us whole. 23- July-2021

Change of Life

My life has lately taken a divergent path,
    age has slowed me down,
I am no longer champing at the bit,
            I seek a little calm,
                the reading of a psalm.

I no longer seek the promotion of strife,
as I did in earlier life.
I no longer pitch an angry fit,
or cuss like a demon from the pit.
but soak calmly in a warm bath.

There comes a time and an age to calm down.

The Change

Something happened that was strange.
My wife decided to have a sex change.
When she said she was going through a change, I thought it was the change of life.
I came home and was greeted by a husband instead of a wife.

I packed his bags and threw him out the door.
I sure as hell wasn't going to be married anymore.
Now I'm remarried and she wants to have a sex change too.
Somebody please help me, I don't know what the hell to do!

(This is a fictional poem.)

Thin Line Between Death

Lost sparks of death
dancing humbly in circles around my soul,
Awaiting time, or the slip of insanity.
Star fired eyes instantly leak devilish rays,
Of life spiraling threats between heaven and hell.
Ruby red flames sheild the triumph of courageous light.
My body weakens to numbness,
falling to a sharp sting of heat.
The law of time has givin break to my crumbling will.
Death awaits, awaits death,
It's time for the keeper's inner change of life with death,
to take my relentless soul.
