I’m finally going to get on that platform
on the 18th of next month,
for a first-time, one-time performance.
The once, seemingly impossible will come fully true,
which seems like a lot narratively.

It’ll be like leaving home—but we’re crashing out.
Moving on to other plot points, big topics and intense missions.
We’re all caustically optimistic.

Although there’s a cellular-level pull to move on
we can’t help but feel a hesitancy to jump into our multifarious futures.
We’ve never been improvident.

In my personal pool of experience, when I feel alone,
friendless and unseen, this unintelligible fear noise arises,
and I'm tempted to tap out. But I never have.

money lines and ropes

Two or too provoking thoughts
A safe place i write of and at
We both travel throught
And in the invisible line
I am not found
The civil rights protests
Doth though forge ahead
Inside the building as I?
Outside of poverty, all night
The watching of blind
The picket lines of before
Your grocery and your store
Am i stored in place as safe?
Tolerant to entrance and cake?
To check out the freedom
Taking home no reading
Behind you i must climb aboard
Slaveries vessel ever toward
Another defeat beneath the heels
Furious and patience rarely fields
Inner city, inner doctor
Slumming transpiring caustically talking
Duality’s diagram to read and reflect
A lens and inspection, mapping intuition
In the war, in the cold, leading quietly
Awaiting snow
The crane’s lurking plunge
Hello in painting spunge
Again, once more, my defeat
For yours

Premium MemberAbecedarian Alliteration

An abecedarian Australian animal activist
Bagged bodacious big bucks
Caustically criticizing crocodiles,
Driving darling dragons
Essentially extinct. Eschewing
Fact, fabricating fanciful fiction,
Grifting gloriously,
He haughtily held hostage
Important, instructive information,
Juxtaposed jaundiced, junk
Kangaroo kills,
Leveling large lizard libel,
Manufacturing marsupial misinformation malevolently.
On other ominous occasions,
Preferring pernicious propaganda,
Quickly, querulously, quashed
Real, rational reports, rather,
Substituted several substantially
Tarnished technical travesties,
Undermining unified understanding.
Very vociferously, viciously
Wrote works without warrant,
Xenophobic xenotypic
yarns, yammering yellow-bellied yawps,
Zombie-like, zealously.

Radical Guidance

Arrogant are the children of despair,
Battling demons that threaten to betray,
Caustically they bedevil the ensnared,
Damaging thus their reputations frayed.

Either they rise or die in that prison,
For none may escape its hostilities,
Given they'd welcome change to partition,
Hardly a thought regarding them bullies.

Indeed I say, hells incursion is harsh,
Justly they will see the bode of foresight,
Knowing fully they'd fall into a marsh,
Labouring thus to climb out of its spite.

Monstrous you feel in the name of rage,
Nightly wanting to ravage the goofballs,
Occasionally if that could be you'd page,
Proposing so some resolve to their falls.

Quenching too a grisly desire for blood,
Radical it might be but you're the key,
Salvation therefore will come like a flood,
Taking the despaired into a new spree.

Under your guidance they will be brutal,
Validating thus their life and ideals,
Wasted not, or wayside from the truthful,
X-rays will discover their lies concealed.

Your assail on them should be purposive,
Zestful too as they seek reasons to live.

Caustically Came the Cruelty

caustcallycame th cruelt

It started with an up and ended with a down
It began with a smile and ended with a frown
The up was my finding love at last
The down was her becoming part of my past

She smiled
I began smiling
I was beguiled
because she was beguiling
Like a little child on Christmas morning
When doves and daydreams are dawning
And magic is in the air
With ribbons and flair in a youth’s fair hair
Love had found me in a special place
Where hearts and thoughts begin to race
And fantasies take flight with a lift from delight
And even the darkness of night seems bright
But fantasies often fade in the shadow of sorrow
When the teeth of today bite the rear end of tomorrow

It began with happiness but ended in tears
It started with hope but finished with fears
The fear of forever without the love of my dreams
Because love isn’t always so wondrous as it seems

Free Cee the Keys To Aging

THE KEYS TO AGING

Does anyone ever get old enough not to regret getting older?,
While the wretched winter weather seems caustically colder
Does one reach a point where the point becomes moot,
and aging becomes a more acceptable concept to boot

Now at sixty-four I ruminate and rue the clock
Wrought with thoughts of growing older to block
My mirror is certainly no “Portrait Of Dorian Gray”
Rather my reflection reveals what has been stolen away

I see all the flesh that once was so taut
And lose a war I once so valiantly fought
It seems that time’s intention is to wrinkle me and more
And as for growing older there’s no more arduous a chore

My muscles grow more atrophied with each passing day
While my once golden hair turns ever more gray
Women see not the youthful man who dwells deep inside
While the hope of dancing and romancing have both been defied

Perhaps senility is a gift granted thus in disguise
When one trades dementia for what once was so wise
And then one begins a battle with short-term memories
And by the way, does anyone know what I did with my keys?

Free Cee Caught In the Sights

CAUGHT IN THE SIGHTS

like Bambi caught in the sights of a hunter's gun
life sometimes ain't any phun
like never gaining permission to be what you want to be
life can often leave you less than feeling free
like the nine to five can often be a burden
life often curses you one to hide behind a curtain
and of all these things i am very certain

like a master with a whip ordering you what to do
life can often seem like a disorganized zoo
like walking through a desert can leave you with an unquenchable thirst
life can make you come in last instead of first
and so one feels thus to be caustically cursed

like so many wasted amens go unheard by the lord
and remorse causes only vengeance and discord
like life often makes you wish the dr. had never cut the cord
life can often leave one disenchanted and bored

but one must perservere
the way Bambi ambles through the woods with fear
and suffers what he thinks he cannont bear
and so i tell you dear on this paricular day
i must leave you now without an adieu or delay

Suddenly I Heard Silence Shout

SUDDENLY I HEARD SILENCE SHOUT

All of a sudden I turned around
And it was then I heard the sound
All of a sudden I looked about
And ‘twas then i heard emptiness shout

With a swollen voice it screamed “no more”
For it was at that moment fate closed its door
All our plans laid out with precision and prayer
While you accepted its words with your casual flair

I was made speechless by what had thusly been spoken
And all I could feel beating was a heart set asunder and broken
I sat on a couch wondering how life could be so caustically cruel
Alas for hours upon that couch wept a fool

A foolish man who bought into lies and deception
And amidst silence came sorrow sans exception
What wondered I could I possibly have done
As I felt like jumping out of my skin and taking to run

Suddenly I turned around to see what I didn’t want to see
And that was the ghost of you and only tears for me
The universe is witness to an atrocity with no where to hide
And it also knows how stridently I tried long before I cried

Danny Death and Dope

SOMETIMES THERE AIN’T NO FUN IN BEING DONE

Danny said “hey brother, let’s take us a ride”
The rest would be for fate to decide
At first I thought I espied innocence in his eyes
But the soul of Satan showed me otherwise

We headed downtown where the dope dealers dwell
And then in Danny’s eyes I saw a league of heathens in hell
It wouldn’t have mattered but Danny had to involve me
For it was then when Danny decided to go on a killing spree

He yearned to kill anyone who ever stole money from us two
“Listen Danny,” I said, “I’m getting out since this is all about you”
I’d known killers like Danny but on the list his came first
And swear do I by a demon Danny had been caustically cursed

We were headed for a place only a desperate junkie ever goes
And inside I felt as if I were the last summer’s rose
He was about to create the death of thirteen and one more
As we sped from the city to the New England shore

Danny was about to do what he wanted no matter what I had to say
I opted to run but Danny had a hankering to stay
There were thirteen funerals that week, thirteen plus one
Because Danny aimed the gun at his head and 14 lives were then done

Resolved To Revolve

now allow me to get these infintile rules straight, i cannot use profanity, but may I
at least employ the word "profanity?"
             RESOLVED TO REVOLVE
Constantly
Consistently
Caustically
Persistently
Yet I resist with resolve
As the world revolves
I’ll constantly be plagued by sorrow
I’ll consistently be afraid of tomorrow
Caustically and casually comes you, a casualty
Then I begin to persistently beg for neutrality
And remain fortified by resolve and a resolution
But here and now I declare this a revolution
It’s just two stagnant people standing still as the world revolves
And we’ve got worldwide problems no one ever solves
So if you are constantly, consistently and caustically going to harass me with
persistency
I’d say that my disdain for the likes of you is only in its infancy
And it shall grow likewise as does a field of wicked weeds
So with a bow I leave you now because you have too many f***** needs
And I’ll write you persistently to inform you of where the virgin road leads

Parody of a Soldier

Eagerly joining the nation's martial order,
Becoming Uncle Sam's itinerant boarder,
Pledging to defend my country's border,
Against foreign malice and internal disorder.

Callously disregarding my own personal ambition,
Carelessly abandoning familial bonds and social position,
Caustically enlisting in the my country's latest inquisition,
Cheerfully pledging to defend abstract values without condition.

Forthrightly conditioned to to obey without recourse,
Instantly melded into mindless, fraternal force,
A provisioned robot, a designated national resource,
Vetted to die for patriotic cause without slightest remorse.

Subjugated to the imperial dictums of state,
Compensated a minimal wage for perilous fate,
Commissioned to fight amorphous foes without face,
Trained to annihilate belligerents without trace.
