Chocolate Hershey Candy Bar- A Tanka Poem
I like my chocolate
it is just so sweet and dark.
With awesome sections
and an interesting block
when it melts I feel happy

Have you ever been to the land of the pencil candy bar fishes?
It’s south of Palm Sands. They bring all kinds of magical wishes.
Fear them not, although they look scary with their magnificent fishes.
They are brutally energetic and fun unless you put them into land dishes.
Each has a star fish sidekick except their prissy leader Miss Blue Bishes.
She is the most volatile of all the Palm Sands pencil candy bar fishes.
She will annihilate you with the worst of her star fish’s swishes.
A secret place though, so do not tell anyone else, or you’ll be bit by Miss Bishes.

in the distance
with little assistance
there was the silencing of an owl
that woke a consistent worry
in the thinking of a cow
that something persistent was going down
the night soothing hooting
a head spinning around
there was a fox in the hen
house
there was a sound
underground
there was a magnet on the loose
the moon was turning brown
and sheltered from this whisp
was the sniffing of a hound.
Preserverance has subsistence
like candy makes one frown
and our injections are reflections
of a course of damning mounds.

When his children were small, their dad Fred
every Halloween Eve to them said
that a candy bar creep
steals kids’ treats while they sleep.
(Their best bars Dad hid under his bed!)

I admired the shiny wrapper
seemingly made of polished silver
as if a jewel were sealed inside
The cellophane sleeve of six
caught my eye
and my heart
responded
“Only one dollar”
my internal accountant told me
I took that as an approval
But my hand already had it in its grasp
A few minutes later
sitting in the parking lot
I peeled open the wrapper
With closed eyes
as if in prayer to the god of chocolate
I took my first
bite
When my eyes opened
I noticed the stranger
in the truck facing me
watching
It’s been over ten years
and I still remember him
I wonder if he remembers me

Gimme a break from the long day at work.
A piece of mind that doesn't fly by soon as it starts.
Not of discrimination but of a demanding boss.
Time but a snap of a bar.
Gimme a break from negative interpretation.
In terms of being under appreciated.
A smile that encourages the rest of the day to come that much faster.
The commercial before we continue our regular scheduled programming.
Gimme a break before our stature completely seperates.
If only for a moment.
To savor a taste stumbled upon in bulk.
Complex in the pieces we give of ourselves.
Chocolate covered us wrapped in orange.
Fully appreciated in standout appearance.
The smile brought to my mouth.

My girls were arguing about the last Milky Way the other day.
I united them in the best your-mom-is-the-boss-kind-of-way.
I split the Milky Way bar in half, and acted like I was going to give them both a piece.
Then I swiftly pushed the candy into my mouth, and chewed it up with my own sweet loving teeth.
Now my darling girls are angry, and mad as hops at their mean old mom, who took their candy.
Which has united them in such a way, it's going to be a much better day, right, Randy?

Candy bar
On a Friday I loved her
with all my heart, bought her
expensive chocolate.
During the weekend she grew
in my affection for her although,
I didn`t see her.
On Monday, I fell out of love
she didn`t look anywhere near
the way I thought she should.
Bloodshot eyes and her
teeth were green.
Her shiny hair was matted
and she reeked of an unmade bed
and filthy sex,
and to think I was not there.
I took revenge,
ate her chocolate.

Pink and white sugar coated candies
Decorate the candy bar glass jars
Macarons, cake pops and cupcakes
Sweeten the most exigent palladar
Trays of white chocolate coated pretzels
Almond cookies, lemon filled donuts,
Marshamallows and belgium chocolates
Indulge the taste buds with sapidity
From weddings, sweet sixteen party
Baby shower and birthdays, candy bars
Embellish table with a multicolor display
The attraction of the festive celebration

(This is a fictional poem)
When I ate my cousin's candy bar, he invited me outside.
He beat the crap out of me and people laughed when I cried.
I need somebody to protect me from this bully when he gets riled.
It's embarrassing because I'm thirty-six and he's a seven year old child.

Form: I do not know?
If you want to lose some weight
Here's some advice you may want to take
If you wish upon a star
While you eat a candy bar
Very soon you will see
You can't wish away those calories
A healthy diet and exercise plan
Can help you more than wishing can
So, while you wish upon that star
Throw away the candy bar
