bowl was in a braggy mood
“I am the best for every food!”
dish was angry and threw a fit.
spoon said ignore her, she’s a nitwit.
Fork stayed out of it, he was wise.
Bowl was mean and ten times his size.
I'm gonna spank Frank and then I'll whip Pip
Before I slug Bug, I'm gonna slap Cap.
I wanna hit Kit; I wanna smack Mac
I'll never like Ike, and I'll destroy Roy.
So I could lick Mick before I kick Rick
Why don't you die Sly, and say goodbye Guy.
The new woman wore a red cloak lined in the prettiest blue satin.
I wondered if she had a pattern, for this would be a wonderful patent.
I did not know her name, but her style was ever apparent to me.
I knew she was from a faraway exotic place like New York City.
Her shoes were something we only saw in the best magazines.
Did she know that she came across like one of those fashionista queens?
It’s a fluke, my neighbor whispered. She will be dowdy like us next week.
When she walked into church her glorious ensemble made my voice squeak.
She’s amazing, a gypsy, a super woman, a model, I screamed out.
Get ahold of yourself, my neighbor whispered. She is probably a lout.
But she was sweet and sincere, as pretty inside as her clothes.
We learned to love her, this woman who was as honest as wind blows.
The fact that she knew how to dress did not make her braggy or mean.
She was truly one of the nicest women our town had ever seen.
We were so sad when she moved away in the middle of the night.
Taking her fashion tips and her clothes, and her attitude so light.

Sophie Helen, my snuggle bunny,
Knows my whereabouts day and night.
She launches herself next to the small of my back
And we snore and dream together.
I dream I am flying
She dreams she is flying with me
Sophie Helen adores me. She is territorial.
I am her property, and she warns me about others.
Birds, cats, trucks on the road, all make her mad.
She gets furious if anyone else tries to touch me.
If my husband kisses the top of my head
She goes ballistic.
She is my savior.
Sophie Helen is my husband’s girl when I am not here.
He tells me stories about her snuggling up
to the small of his back.
He gets braggy about it
Not realizing she does this for me every night.
She is our baby, our girl, the one who stayed with us
After all our children grew up and left.
Sophie Helen is our light to the other world.
The one who assures us that we will make it there.
She comforts us like no other.
There is no mistake that God and Dog have the same three letters.
Unconditional love is what they are both about.
Giving us an assurance that all is well.
Merry Go

AAAY..
It is the pluck of dawn
In full mettle moxie
Morning is examined
YAAY..
I am afresh and wake up
I am breathing again
Ready stable and able
Bouncing and determined
First eat is the porridge on the table
Aay say I beautiful day
Yay sunrise has been created
Morning Santos
My soccer mad hound
Chase your ball or
Fetch a bone all day
Morning Sirbastian
Mine attitude cat
So fat and stubborn
He has 14 lives and
Best survival skills
Morning Cracker
Our patriot parrot and
All feather faithful friend
Greatest home patriot.
Rev up your symphony and sing
I am ready and fresh
Feeling chichi also razor sharp
On the way to the door
Spot the handle
Can't wait to grab it open
To see the crispy sea city
It is yellow and gold not filthy
A lusty lively fresh braggy breeze
Is felt in the nose
No hold me back
Pajamas and all
Ready for my playmate Earth
Let's play.
