I grew up with Country music
Loved its simple themes
It’s been my constant joy
For ever or so it seems.
Bobby Bare’s on the Bose
Singing a tear jerking song
And I’m sitting there listening
And quietly singing along.
Sunday morning session one
Of those times I like the most
Playing Country music
Belly full of buttered toast.
A working man’s music
From earthier days
Telling redneck tales
Telling redneck ways.
I’m a Yorkshire country boy,
A redneck farm worker’s son
Who was given the chance
To progress and move on.
No redneck work for me
No need to labour on the land
A chance give to me by
My dad’s work hardened hands.
The Sunday morning session
Helps roll back the years
And I think of mam and dad
Surreptitiously wiping tears.
Yorkshire red neck values,
From village childhood days
All come back to mind as
My Sunday Country music plays.
At 24:00 O’ Clock of the stars,
When the tides are clapping to
The pressure of her contractions.
Louder is the agony of her painful rhythms,
Calling God to open the passage of babies
Louder the palms are tapping hard the shells.
At 01:45 O’ clock, sharper are the pains
and beautiful is her head with curly hair.
Start in a soprano b-flat, the tinning sound:
Nwhaeeen! Nwhaeeen!! Nwhaeeen!!! rock the ear holes.
Agony flew in placement of tears of Joy.
Hello to the New Queen Bose
At 1:00 O’ clock, is mamo strumming rocky lullaby,
Softer it became the sound, to a napping little queen.
The pains are gone and the Queen is Queen Bose
The band's trumpeting out the Bose
A dozen red roses for thirteen chicas
In that old cantina
Looks like one's left cold
But it's colder still out that
Crooked oval door
As Jorge keeps 'em entertained
With his liquid tambourine
Hey Mr. Cobbler shaker
Play a tune for me
Keep those ice cubes clinging clanging
Cooling that Agave Blue for me
He played that song 'til the early morn
The man of her dreams hails a cab
She smiles all the way back home
What a night it was
All the things they'd done
The excitement wakes her
As she rolls over to kiss her lover
And finds he never hit the hay
Hey Mr. Cobbler shaker
Play a tune for me
Keep those ice cubes clinging clanging
Cooling that Agave Blue for me
Did he always have to leave
Her this way
Alone and confused
Where did they depart
She'd go back yet another time
To try and find the man
Who has her heart
Hey Mr. Cobbler shaker
Play a tune for me
Keep those ice cubes clinging clanging
Cooling that Agave Blue for me
He was the only one,
for life he did not care
sorrows and tears on his face
was something rare.
Still he knew
How much miseries mattered,
when our life before us lay shattered.
He was the only one
to all and his beloved.
A lover so pure, a beloved so dear.
Yet laws of love did not retrace
for him or for human race.
Yet he was the only one.
Survived with a broken heart
to search of love as it trickled in young due drops.
splashed in the banks of the “Ganga”.
Thirsty, yet stubborn, to fight till the end,
he was the only one.
Some thought him mad,
some called him an animal,
but he was the only one.
One day a man told stories of past,
to small, to big
and everybody asked
“well did he die at last?’
The man smiled, when his eyes glowed,
And these last words he said,
“Ask not me, but search for him in you.
Find him and never let him fail,
till every bit of land shouts,
such sons in time were born,
such sons to me are born.
.....A tribute to Shri Subash Chandra Bose.
Santa Claus, make this the best Christmas yet.
Could you bring me a Chevrolet Corvette?
I need a six-speed with a powerful V-8.
A leather interior and BOSE CD stereo will be great.
It does not matter if it has red, white, or blue paint.
I have not been anything less than a saint.
I have treated everyone I know with kindness.
This year, I did not even cheat the IRS!
I know you will not get it down my chimney.
There is no need to put it under the tree.
You do not have to wrap it for Christmas Day.
Just leave it parked in my garage driveway.
That morning, I want to zoom it down the highway.
With such a machine, I will really be cooking.
I just hope the patrol cars will not be looking.
Santa, I have just one more modest plea:
Could you pay the first year’s insurance for me?
The premiums are outrageous here in New Jersey.
cars can go fast but wait there are slow pokes in the world
but when you are behind a slow poke
You are not going anywhere
you honk your horn you yell but thats no good
That stupid old slow car is not worth you time
so take the short cut show him who is bose
dang it he is in front of you again
it would take crack (sniff sniif)
just to get the devil to move dang
how am i going to get him to move???
