Limerick: Once a measly Miser in Mumbai
Once a measly Miser in Mumbai
Liked watching dancing girls on the sly
He went to Bolly-Wood
Though he felt jolly good
His loot sucked by Bombay Ducks well nigh.

What time of day it is I do not know
Except that like some fish doped out of the deep water
I've bobbed up bolly wise from stream of sleep
It is drumming hard here and I suppose everyhere
Dropping with insistent ardour upon our roof thatch and shed
And thro' sheaves slits open
To thunder and lightening
So,lets roll over on our back
And settle to the sleep of the innocent and free.

Reflection
There are screeches of passion
white wings scratch against the skyline.
Pastels implode and deepen as they seep
through the air, clinging to canvas.
Sunlight falls, thick and fast like
fresh honey. It sticks to the ground.
Cathedral windows stand proud, devouring
adoration from pilgrims. Hymns are sung silently.
Pink skirts adorn the flowers, drunken bumbles
fall aimlessly from stem to stem.
Breezes tip-toe with the freshness of bolly,
searching abandoned fields.
The stream crawls and kicks in places, mirroring
the brazen beauty, a cherry on my cake.
