In a garden where the sun would rise,
There bloomed a rose with gentle eyes,
Her petals soft, a crimson thrill,
She was Ruth, the rose that blushes still.
Her color bright, a fervent red,
With every dawn, her beauty spread,
Though time would pass and seasons sway,
Her blush remained, as night turned day.
The winds would blow, the rains would fall,
Yet Ruth stood proud, defying all,
Her fragrance sweet, a lingering grace,
A timeless charm, no years could erase.
And though the world around her changed,
Her tender hue was not estranged,
For in her heart, a love so pure,
Kept her blushing, forever sure.
So in that garden, she remains,
A rose untouched by time’s refrains,
A symbol of a steadfast will,
Dear Ruth, the rose that blushes still.

The cute little blushes,
every time we look at each other,
every time our friends tease us together.
The blood that rushed into my cheeks,
every time I think of you.
It's going to get me into trouble at home.
The way my smile lights up my face,
Even when we talk or look at each other,
whilst passing by.
My flushed cheeks,
while reading poetry,
that reminds me of you.
The happiness that creeps onto my face,
even when I write about you.
All this makes my heart ache,
begging us to not mess this up.
All of this teasing and smiling,
keeps my hopes up.
The cute little blushes and the gorgeous gorgeous smiles!

Dark ominous clouds gather in the sky,
Thunder rumbles loud somewhere far away,
The earth gets ready, a shower is nigh,
That drizzle drives her crazy with her spray,
As water and wind in the wet woods play,
Trees sway and dance when the gust gathers speed,
A burning is quenched as rain meets land's greed,
There's steady downpour while lightning flashes,
A yearning fulfilled as petrichor's freed,
Nature blushes under dripping lashes.

Majestic autumn welcome home,
As summer yields to slumber,
To flaunt your leafy vibrant hues,
Of yellow, gold and umber.
From whence do all your colours come,
That paint your wondrous scenes,
Do fairies brush from pots of gold,
And daub the failing greens.
An Ivy drapes across the wall,
Some leaves have turned maroon,
Did some warm droplets trickle from,
That haunting blood red moon.
The woodland dons an auburn dress,
With flecks of brown and Dun,
And shades of Amber stolen from,
A falling evening sun.
The days grow short, cool nights are long,
As forests shed their leaves,
Sharp sickles fall on ripened wheat,
And lay it down in sheaves.
The Squirrels start to gather food,
Migrating birds are still,
God's creatures all prepare their homes,
For Winters icy chill.
Behold the seasons russet hues,
A joy for all to see,
So cast an eye and celebrate,
Such pure Autumnity.

like a blast of fire
erupting amidst smoky trails
this horizon
was momentarily aglow
before darkness
consumed the skies again
nature blushed
in small folds
as if embarassed
by her emotional display
of the countless tears
she's cried
in winter's glum

tonight
i'm adrift
on the wings
of night's breath
the band's playing
a Neil Diamond song
barely audible
through echoes
of cheers
but all i hear
is your voice
calling my name
in delicate whispers
i look around
through the edges
of darkness
a half moon
smiles at me
beneath
the thin layers
of clouds
shifting
like my thoughts
i trace the trails
of stars
glistening
like loves eyes
wondering
if you see my blush
in your sky's moon
tonight

I’ll shave my head,
I’ve not much hair,
But I’ll shave my head because I care.
I’ll shave my head to be like you,
I’ll shave my head because you would too.
It’s only hair and I know it matters,
But it’s only hair.
It’s not all that flatters -
Because when I look at you -
I don’t see hair,
When I look at you, you catch my stare -
Because your as beautiful right now -
as the day that we first met.
And today I love you more than then ,
Of that you need not fret,
So I’ll shave my head with a smile on my face,
And I’ll shave my head with abandoned grace,
Because all that matters is that we’re ok,
So save your blushes for another day.

Like a morning hag in curlers
Without a trace of makeup on,
Ugly is thy name, O Desert;
A gift from those who know you not.
Show me the glass-eyed towers
That match your crystalline skies.
Show me the fiery tresses
As fair as your rosy clouds at dawn.
The doyens of cosmetics,
With their scientific skills,
Make no blushes that compare
With your evening skies and hills.
Richer than a thousand gardens
Are your flowered plains in Spring;
Lovelier than the splendid robes
Of wise Solomon, the king.
Fort Knox’ gold is a piker’s hoard
Beside your banks of sun-gilt peaks.
The diamonds of Fifth Avenue
Are dull beside your morning dew.
Your pogonip is a blanket
Much cleaner than the smog.
And who would shun the coyote
For a heavy metal lullaby?

The sunrise blushes
in sunflower
chardonnay braids
on soft merlot clouds
as if it has heard
my whispers of love
sent to you upon
cool chrysanthemum
breezes this perfect
autumn morning

Blushes of Dusk
It's been twilight of dusk
as humanity cries,
Bloodshed of wars
cruelty and famines,
Emotions all bled
kindness scraped,
Love exhaled
and logic slaughtered,
Stripped of souls
lay the corpses,
Heartless and skinless
mere skeletons dance,
Passion and warmth
entombed in history,
Eyeballs rotate
no mind ponders,
Anticipating .....
palpitations thump,
Heart protrudes out
of the breast bone,
Dusky blush lends
rosy red to sunrise !
