Tonight the Moon Blushes
tonight
i'm adrift
on the wings
of night's breath
the band's playing
a Neil Diamond song
barely audible
through echoes
of cheers
but all i hear
is your voice
calling my name
in delicate whispers
i look around
through the edges
of darkness
a half moon
smiles at me
beneath
the thin layers
of clouds
shifting
like my thoughts
i trace the trails
of stars
glistening
like loves eyes
wondering
if you see my blush
in your sky's moon
tonight
