Sandra Adams Poet Free verse

Momentary Blushes

like a blast of fire
erupting amidst smoky trails
this horizon
was momentarily aglow
before darkness
consumed the skies again

nature blushed
in small folds
as if embarassed
by her emotional display
of the countless tears
she's cried
in winter's glum
