Alas it is a chore to write Blank Verse
Unable to peruse my rhyme filled purse
In search for words not better but not worse
A sad lament of poetry’s last curse
To stab the darkness with an ill-used phrase
Twisting the reader’s mind into a maze
Of flaming thought a-dance within a blaze
Torching the rules by which a poet plays
Oh, Rhyme, cold torturer of frigid muse
Why must you heap upon him such abuse
Require him to use words so obuse
That they cannot uncover his shrewd ruse
The truth, perhaps they’ll stumble upon it
If it rhymed the damn thing’d be a Sonnet

Blankety blankety blank blank blank
Blankety blank blank blank
So how do like my poem so far
Getting pretty low in the tank
To resort to this ridiculous bit of nonsense
Must be pretty damn desperate I'd say
You can fool some people some of the time
But never you friendlies each day
When juices stop flowing you guys know right away
One can spot it right off the bat
Obviously when I start that blankety blank stuff
Instead of love and all of that
Maybe I should take some word rhyming pills
But they're so damn expensive these days
Two thousand dollars for just twenty-five pills
Need a job as a gigolo to pay
Well I'm gonna end this blankety blank poem
Threw in a bit of smut ha ha
Got by the censors with that blankety blank stuff
They're freaking out, sure good for a laugh

What The Bleeping Bleepers?
What the bleeping bleepers
what the blankety blanks
what the freaking freaks
what the hellish hells
what the palish pales
what the fracking fracks
what the ducking ducks
what the bucking bucks
what the tucking tucks
what the plucking plucks
what the glucking glucks
what the mucking mucks
what the Kanting Kants
what the geezing geezers
what the retching retches
what the wanting wants
what the tarnating tarnations
what the condemning condemnations
what the murdering murders
what the hating haters
what the loving lovers
what the juxtaposing juxtapositions
what the perceptionalizing perceptions
what the darnating darnations
what the reaping reapers
what the creeping creepers
what the streaking streaks
what the leaking leaks
what the what is happening in today's society
what the what are our solutions in order to fix this world

Mama got tired of his hats;
He strowed them all over the house,
Her temper was short, this woman,
Never as quiet as a mouse.
If it's been done before, I can do it,
So she went to the lumber store,
Bought a big flat board, brought it home,
With ten penny nails for her chore.
You never heard such a banging hammer,
The board went up with its nails,
And Pappa's hat rack was finished,
A coat of wall paint did prevail.
Now, the hats are a nice decoration,
If Pappa would just hang up them felts, but
Mama's got another thing to yell about,
"Hang up your blankety hats - or else!"

Imagine a woman peeking out from the shower curtain…
Accompanying captions on the side appear
“I asked 100 women what shampoo they preferred?
The #1 answer to my survey was certain,
How’n blankety blank did you get in here?”
Managed perception creates confusion;
the picture plays a neat trick on the brain.
There was no survey, just a joke that's offbeat.
The words and the wordster are in collusion
like men who have an image to maintain.
What appeals to men is her ballyhoo.
Are they looking for shock, dismay or fear?
In the photo, she's a picture of "discreet".
"Survey" has nothing to do with shampoo,
when in doubt, turn his question on its ear -
"Why do they put directions on shampoo bottles?”
