Need more blankets on my bed
Orange sun not warm but it’s bright
Very cheerful is a bird, guess he’s fed
Eating his wormy meal under blue sky
Made myself a fruity breakfast at seven
Breakfast was a ripe juicy cantaloupe
Early isn’t my time, yet I’m in heaven
Reading what you passionate poets wrote

I wish upon sweetest breathe,
Cracks egg who knew death
with a hammer & choice to make
a war within a house by the lake....

Candid are toffee stickiness
rots white of baby's teeth,
shiny strands pelts to touch
Intimate hug or live without

Never the trophy for a runner
in focus of beating drummer
never my fault if there's rum
to fill my sickness spice of tum

Drools all, my security blanket
Can we pump and crank it?
sings to a day in my ghostly life,
pints to declare Poppins delivers
What the hell if I'm robbing my creator?

The sky
blackens
absence
burst
clapping
wings of
swan
not flapping
disappears
apple of skin
intimacy....

Sun

Shining blanket drapes the early morning sky,
Under its glow, vibrant shadows made to flow,
New golden rise awakens a renewed hope.

A hard day’s night, boss outta sight
blankets warm, everything’s all right
let’s snuggle, cuddle, no more storm
lovely voice on high, good in form
peace reigns on Earth, after mad work
baby is chuckling, gone is stork
sing to stars and beckoning moon
guitar in right tune, dance like coons

Blanket Of Snow

Blanket Of Snow
Blanket of snow
Your so beautiful
Bundled up in the cold
The sun melts the stars
Your shyness is revealed
Break the ice with a sense of humor
Together close by the fire
The cold brought us together
A new relationship in the winter
Mesmerizing, eyes in blue
Like the faded sky painted Azure
Take a walk in the powdered snow
Love letters in December
Pretty lights dazzle in a small town
The most radiant women, I have found
We can hold hands in the clouds
Ice sickles drip reflections in the wind
In December, new memories begin
A blanket of snow
I just wanted to say hello
Together in the cold
It has always been you, in the winter glow

My blanket of comfort

My mother~
the reason my heart begins to beat,
my guardian angel,
my warm blanket of comfort.
In her care, my dreams take root and bloom.
She is my guiding light in every storm.

She is the song most suited to my dance,
the well of love, of kindness, care.
The only star in my ocean’s sky,
the reason I sparkle like sunlit gems,
the hearth where all my hopes are kindled,
my chest of love, my tender warmth.

A good wife to my father,
she made our family a gallery of masterpieces.
She cooks, she cleans, she works, she gives.
In her eyes, my tears find shelter.
In her heart, my love finds rest.
She wears my sorrow
and wraps me in a robe of joy.

My mother~
my first teacher, firm yet kind,
a compass when my path grew dim.
She taught me how to brave life’s storms
and guided me with patient strength
toward the light of wiser choices~
the voice of right when right felt far.

To my yet-to-be wife—
turn not my heart away from her.
Respect her, that our home may bloom.
Give her honour, like rain gives the earth.
Then shall your love flow through my blood,
and on your head shall rest the crown
of my eternal love and care.

Sunflower’s Blanket

Sunflowers Blanket

Like a flowers beauty existing before their blooming, I never had a doubt. Exuding their radiance with every sun glare, I am rejuvenated by their presence. Washed over by the gaze of admiration ushered, there is a beauty that brightly shimmers. Matched only by the coat of everlasting wonder. I compare you to the sight of a flowers summer.

longer daylight hours
Mr. Sol warms the chill air
white blanket recedes
temperature quickly drops
new white coat winters last gasp

Memories

A new horizon in view already,
I stood there seeing it
Wearing a blanket weaved
With threads of memory
Of all the years to date ,I have lived
It's the time
A magnificent panorama to bid goodbye
To step into a new landscape of life
With just a blanket of memories,
It sure will always be with me,
Till I become infinity.

The Poet

A scarlet scar on the left knee
Hair on my head I cut into chops myself
I dash out from under my weighted blanket of warmth
I am allowed one cup of coffee and one cup of tea
A weak stomach from an ulcer doesn’t keep me from writing.
Will a poet walk into my life? Will I ever have that partner?

It’s half spoken, half empty.
Words covering words, weaving a blanket of madness.
Tears that can’t even reach the eye’s horizon -
There aren’t any more to cry.

Bury yourself and eventually you’ll forget -
But only until it’s most inconvenient to remember.
Once again lost, denying regret.
Freezing in snow storms - living in December.

You are covered, yet still you shiver.
The weight you bear is chilling.
It is clear you can’t find the strength to keep going.
You are falling beneath this blanket of words.

You are half empty, half spoken -
And you aren’t even at home within your own mind.
It snows blankets of words, broken -
Frozen solid and blind.

Winter's Rain

The first winter’s rain
Brings in the chill in the air
The sun hides behind the overcast sky
Playing hide and seek with the grey clouds
A gust of wind whooshes through the trees
The cold weather is set to begin
I wrap myself in a blanket in bed
Reading a novel with a mug of coffee in hand
Untimely rain brings us such pleasure
A time to lie and contemplate in leisure
