Billy Graham,
Servant of the Great I Am.
Preached the Gospel loud and bold,
And welcomed sinners into God's fold.

Billy Graham

I am who I am
 My soul rest
 God only take
 The best
 My feet are planted here
 No more will I
 Share with you
 My tears
 My voice is silent now
 But I have still
 Much more to say
 I am who I am
 My bible I left behind
 Laying on my dest top
 Open to the passage
 Psalm 121 verse 1 and 2.
 My help cometh from the
 Lord, which made heaven
 And earth.
I let it for you and you
 And you.
It not to late to pray and
 Ask God to forgive you.
 I am who I am
 ...this poem was written for
 Billy Graham.

Billy Graham

This is a poem written by a teenage girl looking for a husband.
It was written as a prayer, and this is what she asked of the Lord:

Dear God, I pray all unafraid,
As girls are wont to be;
I do not want a handsome man,
But make him, Lord, like Thee.

I do not need one big and strong,
Nor yet so very tall,
Nor need he be some genius,
Or wealthy, Lord, at all;

But let his head be high, dear God,
And let his eye be clear,
His shoulders straight, whate'er his fate;
whate'er his earthly sphere.

And let his face have character,
A ruggedness of soul,
And let his whole life show, dear God,
A singleness of goal.

And when he comes,
As he will come,
With quiet eyes aglow,
I'll know, dear Lord,
That he's the man
I prayed for long ago.

That girl's name was Ruth Bell, and she
later met and married Billy Graham.

Premium Member My Memories of Billy Graham

Having been converted the year before
Dr Graham came over the following year
to preach at Mission England in the UK
Sunderland was the nearest venue I could hear

I decided to spend a week down there
an opportunity to view BG for real
was not disappointed not even a little
for God's presence was there to feel

Cliff Barrows lead the congregation
to sing in unison was so brill
Bev Shea sang solo so wonderful
could hear pin drop so very still

What a privilege to hear the great preacher
Dr Graham spoke with authority so clear
backed by scriptural truths as he said
repeatedly the Bible says so we shouldn't fear

What a blessed week that truly was indeed
that was a week I never will ever forget
watching many respond to God's good news
life's transformed by God's servant on set

Billy Graham

has passed
with our many
wishes for peace..
A preacher for
his times..
Times with steep
reliance and rejection
of belief:
reaching an eternal
goal at the end
of our time
in earthly sojourn ..

The times have changed
as many are standing awed
over a new recognition
of real identity
directly experienced
glimmering eternally
behind the shading clouds..

Alas, we on earth are left to mourn,

The passing of The Reverend Billy Graham.

Yet, there is great rejoicing in Heaven this day,

As God with his angels embraced His beloved lamb!

He faithfully preached The Good News to all creation,

Following The Great Commission proclaimed by Him.

When he reached out to touch the face of Christ,

He said, "Welcome, Billy! You served My people well!"

If ever there was a man who earned a rendezvous with God,

'Twas certainly The Reverend Billy Graham!

Billy Graham Is Calling All Birds

They don't know him, but he knows them.
It's Revival time under the big tent of the sky
for the evangelicals among them (Billy's Boys),
and vespers for the liturgicals like me, prayer
meeting for all, whether it's Wednesday or not.
I used to wonder what this nightly heavenly
glory story was all about, sangfroid from
a faith I was never baptized in.

They fly in without fail every day when day
is done; same hour, same place over water, where
following ritual circling, they make lake-fall
for meditation until one of them by signal known
solely to the divine, flutters his feathers, and,
as if at Benediction, they lift again and drop again
in a rhythmic rosary the pagans named a wheel.

There are no words for the sea birds, only
cries that break the sound barrier of the skies,
where they Were before earthly worship
in the baptismal font of the faithful.
Lake water made sacrosanct

Tribute To Dr Billy Graham

On November seventh many years ago
In the hills of North Carolina covered beautifully with snow
A boy named Billy Graham made his presence on the earth
Only His creator knew just how much he was worth
Before the time he was conceived God had for him a plan
He knew he would be greatly used to show God's love to man
He committed to the Father and to this very day
He's still winning souls for Christ saying Jesus is the Way
When the Lord comes back again and gathers up His own
Takes us to that glorious place where all the saints have gone
When Billy kneels in heaven before God's Holy Son
He'll hear the Father say to him the priceless words "WELL DONE"!
