Biggies Poems | Examples

Premium Member The 27 Club Should Be Renamed

The 27 Club is but a myth.
A lot of pop rock stars die also young
and in their 20’s; by coincidence,
four biggies of the Woodstock Era died
just years within each other, and their age
just happened to be 27, so
because of tragic deaths, these are the ones:
Joplin, singer of “White blues” was lonely.
Guitarist Jimi Hendrix was too reckless -
like wild, brilliant Doors’ Jim Morrison
and Brian Jones, a singer with the Stones.
All four did drugs and did them foolishly!

Years later, Curt Cobain in ‘94
used drugs and shot himself. He happened to
be 27; thus the term was coined!
A final truly tragic figure joined
the 27 Club by overdose:
Singer Amy Winehouse, who like Joplin -
imprisoned by her image - was so lonely.
Though many famous actors and musicians
are listed in this legendary “club,”
the focus goes to six iconic figure.
The club should be renamed “The Tragic Six.”

*Note: I was reading the history of this club and some have suggested
that in reality, this club is mainly about the "tragic Six"

The Ditter Fromit

The Ditter bugs
go willy nilly
The child Mcrews are oh so silly

The Frockbeasters start to dance
The Wombomuffins rear and prance

The Donkofrockans sing a song
That makes the Womblogs mow and trom

The wind is whipping up the Gillies
the storm arriving nilly willies

I start to gig
they start to moan
The Womrats creep around a lone

The Freewhats and the Biggies play
but their babies try to crawl away

So the Bombador he does proclaim
It is like watching the Volipotin dixen game

“Feed them Sofrats and crispy Wiggins!
So they will grow faster and stop
their defriggen!”

We all now bow before his grace
but never look upon his face!

For to a pile of Gwom will ye soon be
if you chance a GOOM like him to see!

So run along my Bewarry Briggins
don’t forget to feed them wiggins!

And be might sure a parker’s hat is on your head
…..The storms brewing could be a Zombowiggen’s final said

The Unchangeable

The situation in my country is terrifying
I wish I can do something gratifying,
Selfishness and corruption by leaders are annoying,
No job,no food ,no water,in a land flourishing
with resources and its occupants are crying,
Mortality rate increases for many are lacking,
Diseases, malnutrition and social vices are thriving,
due to negligence, misappropriation and lack of funding,
From generation to generation this parasite is spreading,
And the vectors and co-vectors foster by multiplying,
I`m bold,educated and ready to die,not compromising,
but I have to join their party to be leading,
Join their party!be like them!what am I thinking?
I can`t sell my conscience because of governing,
If I`m an officer,I would have risen to do general cleaning,
but that era has gone, military government is damaging,
while this cosmetic democracy is more disturbing,
Divine intervention is sought and I`m waiting;waiting!
by soaking my bed with tears daily, weeping!,
Lame and paralyzed I watch the little ones, suffering,
while a few biggies misuse and waste the wealth by deceiving,
Hmm!hmm!I can`t take this anymore!,it is killing.

Hyphenated Americans

HYPHENATED AMERICANS

You have the biggies like Chinese-Americans
And Latino-Americans and German-Americans;
And miniscule groups like Armenian-Americans
Or   Bosnia-and-Herzegovinan-Americans;
But why do we never hear of English-Americans,
Scottish-Americans or Welsh-Americans?
Sound weird don’t they? Kinda unnecessary.
Anyone ever heard of Canadian-Americans?
Or Australian- or New Zealand- oh why?
And hey, what about French-Americans?

These are not hyphenated Americans
They are eliminated Americans,
And other groups include
Old people, who are Antiquated-Americans
Mothers - Unappreciated-Americans
Pre-1492 Yanks are Antedated-Americans
AFL-CIO are Aggregated-Americans
Dwarfs are Truncated-Americans
Smog-breathing residents of LA are
Asphyxiated- or Hyperventilated-Americans.
Thank God I’m normal, I’m just American.
