Best Zealous Poems
Poor little Zena zebra was feeling oh so sad
She was born an albino, which made her look bad
Zena desperately wanted to fit in with the others
And have a stripy body like her sisters and brothers
Zena thought hard and came up with a cunning plan
She would paint some stripes, so she’d have great élan
Zena went shopping in a local hardware store
Bought some black paint for the stripes she’d adore
Her stripes were brushed on by a trusted friend
But quickly the can of paint came to an end
Sadly Zena hadn’t got any more money
Her half painted body looked rather funny
How the other zebra’s laughed at poor Zena
They called her names; they couldn’t be meaner
But good luck was on little Zena’s side that day
The rain lashed down and washed the paint away
For Zena had purchased watercolour paint
Now Zena’s back to white and she has no complaint
She stands out in the crowd because she is unique
Yes she’s different from the others but her look is oh so chic
Zena stands proudly in her white coat which shines so bright
She is delighted to say not everything in life is black and white
Moral of the story it is our differences that make us unique

Clad in doldrum
with yarns of fuchsia
hemmed here & there
twisted amidst the layers
& simulacrum
esoteric verse
slicked in ethereal
& outvying
of vehemences, I goad
to scatter zeal
into the waves
grand & unbiased
while perching with
a quintessence unclasps
to the orbs thence
& the musings of yours
undying zest
for morrowing unfolding
in yearnings
& beyond.

If patriotism really is in brain and mind
All superstitions, crimes instantly go out
Let's grow there the great patriotic zeal
And we do never ourselves lively kill
Real patriotism makes us really great
Fake one makes narrow and hypocrite.

I am the father of gods, the Olympian family and of mortals
The protector of the sky, soil and sea; heights and human race
Lord and lover of eagles and oak tree; aegis my mighty metals
A just judge, with a merciful mind with a firm, friendly face.
The youngest yet, the sweetest son of Cronus and Rhae…tall Titans;
The brother of Poseidon, Hades, Hesta, Hera and Demeter… deities,
For freedom, I fought my father and his followers…terrible Titans,
And set my siblings free from the cage of Cronus who dodged duties.
The protector of the weak, the punisher of the wicked and mercy-mania;
Winning all wars but one… I am the husband of Hera, my sweet sister,
Father of gods and goddesses: Ares, Hebe, Hephaestus and Eileithyia,
Lived a loosed life with women, fell for so many flowers…a trickster.
I am the Zealous Zeus, god of rain, gatherer of the cloud and thunder,
I an the zealous Zeus, the father of charming and cheerful children,
I am the zealous zeus, the husband of the immortal and mortal mothers,
I am the zealous zeus, the mentor of all mighty, merciful and mild men.

poeticiZing prophetically phenomenally shooting the shout of poetry

flowing singing shouting verses in my veins.

There once was a zealous game warden
Whose tiny heart was very harden
His so clever wife surely said
At his death would be well fed
Charging for _iss on grave with organ
Just for fun!!

**** is really something I'm not
My laissez-faire attitude bothers some peeps a lot
It's just how I roll
I'm still in control
But overly zealous, I am certainly not

All right, no more Abecedarian again!
Buzz off,
Cut me some slack,
Dogging me,
Entrapping me with a
Form of poetry I am not
Good at,
Hamilton!
I entreat you
Jot down some other forms that won’t
Knock me off my rocker, like
Lyric, Limerick or Lay on
Myth and Mystery,
Narrative, Ninette or Nonet,
Ode, Ottava rima or Sicilian Octave maybe,
Parody, Pastoral or Parable even,
Quatrains or Qasida on
Romantic comedy or Repartee,
Shadow, how about Seharaa, Sestina or Senryu?
Tail-rhyme, Tanka, Triolet, Tetractys or Tyburn even?
Unlike Terza Rima, Terzanelle or
Villanelle and Vaasokht, just have contests on
Wit and Wisdom in form Vers Libre!
Xerox my words, Shadow Hamilton—
Yonder, beyond your vision, in the wings awaits a
Zealous Poet!

"A person who has a zealous mind will gain knowledge, but for the one who lacks zeal, knowledge will be lost."
quote by the poet
I admire those people who are zealous
Happily living life
I do not want to be jealous
That would cause strife
To have my heart overflow with passion
Would be a wondrous thrill
Love is not something to ration
but to fulfill
With genuine zeal I will journey on
Welcoming each new day
Smiling at the first light of dawn
when hope holds sway
Zealously, I tend my garden of friends
Hoping we never part
Wherever my path in life wends
They're in my heart
For obeying God's righteous directives
I have religious zeal
Faith in personal objectives
holds great appeal

My prayer for Mykhalylo Tyaglyy* in his tasks as researcher, writer, and editor:
