Look up! Snowflakes appear in streetlights
Hear children cheer as snow days are announced
Watch the powder fly during snowball fights
Listen as faith through joyful hymns is pronounced
Join snow angel brigades while on wintery landscapes we pounce

Walk briskly with me through the winter woods
Where boughs of evergreens droop with white frost
Don your boots and pull up your jacket hood
Let’s slide on the lake until our energies exhaust
Then trudge back home as snow drifts are crossed

Place damp clothes on a chair by the fireside
Pour a glass of wine and snuggle with me
Whispers of passion, ‘neath a blanket confide
Lights from the fir tree fill our hearts with glee
As you offer me your ring on bended knee

The floor was carpeted with wonderful trees,
stomped and storm-clawed leaves
they arise again as specks of magic dust
fire starts from ash on the eyelashes
air-blazing amid the fall haze.

The flakes were light and shimmering
I delight on snow-covered roadways
leaf, branch, and body ripen in spring
now I can relax in the pristine snow
burying the wreckage after a fatal fall.

The snow was softly pelted by the rain
white crispy flakes gradually melted
below the softer, warmer raindrops
grass that had browned.

I spin heavenly songs in the universe
I am a classic song in the art
a tawny friend, lament for your sight
our blood's delight of rage
can you discern the flow?

Weaving our way through the mist,
we become gnawed trees
a smorgasbord of a busy spiritual realm
snowflakes are created when rolling
November's ice storm.

The breezes freeze in November
the cold seeps into the bones
as winter approached, the sky was dark
hollowed trees show the passage of time
the window shows a blank space
there is a man here, unnamed
when the window is shut, petals vanish
things will improve soon.

Hydrangea blues
blooming in seven colors
versatile at heart

Storm clouds in a tantrum and yet
the rainbow

Gently wipes away a facade
reveals a layer
hidden within

Pretty just like yesterday
red-hot pokers

Playing fireworks
on lovers' palates
scintillating senses

The shared spaghetti noodle
growing shorter

Sunlight fading
into a sweet dream
aromatic Osmanthus

'tween the slits of enclosed fingers
flashes of a firefly

Smolders of passion
unfolding within
Chrysanthemum mysteries

Instead of the bee
her tender touch

Frozen fixture
all the yellow once in the field
now in the moon

Aesthetic display
of a crystallized Rose quartz

The snowy hills
at this time a strange warmth
morning blush

Purplish Crocuses
pop their cheerful heads up kisses blown

Thinking himself
to be King Arthur
startled butterflies

Surprised Tulips
opening lips with an exclamation

August heat!
there goes the evidence
of the snail

Spiraling down a Corkscrew vine
into a time portal

P.S. Haven't been on lately ... hope all is well with everyone :)

Wonders of Humanity

Interesting
    This life is to me
 There are things here
I shall never wish to see
                                             Intriguing
                                        These people are
                                    They accomplish so much
Though we live on a blighted star
                                                                                       Unbelievable
                                                                                   I don't understand
                                                                               How all this can happen
In such as this desolate land
           Inspiring
     Words can be so
   They take me so far
Where only angels can go
                                                Miraculous
                                         That we should exist
                                     While all the other planets
                                   Couldn't support such as this
                                                                                         Amazing
                                                                                    We humans are
                                                                                 We exist as a miracle
In a world that stretches far

Far beyond the blue
High in a velvet jeweled sky
Lies the cosmos and universe
So far from human eye
Light years away.

The vastness of God's creation
Has captured man's fascination
Since the dawn of time.

Modern telescopes
Slowly unravel the mystery
Probing galaxies
Never observed before
As we stand at infinities door.

Arrays of stars and planets
Set against swirling pastel coloured gases
To take the breath away
The beauty of the universe
Fires man's imagination
With it's finery and array.

You take such good care of me.
I often wonder
     if I’m deserving.
You treasure and behold
my inner beauty—
     You love with a generous
selfless heart
     that yearns to please,
to be respected and
     loved as you are.

How could I not love and
admire a giant of a man
who blesses my life in so many ways?
     Our feelings run very deep—
Deeper than either one of
     us can comprehend.

Those feelings cross the earthly
     barriers of Time.
They vibrate at such
     heightened harmony
that your thoughts,
     become mine.

Premium Member Snowy Winter Nights

When fall departs and winter's on its way,
our minds are set to face a colder clime;
the days get shorter, evenings quickly gray,
and winter storms will visit us in time.

Inside, from warm, embracing beds at night,
we watch flakes fall beneath the silver moon.
Such tranquil scenes outside glow in its light
where satin banks of snow and sky commune.

Protected, safe from winter's icy blow,
as gusty winds make snowflakes swirl and fall,
we'll drift to sleep lulled softly by moonglow
and swaying tree limb shadows on the wall.

How lovely are these winter late-night scenes-
that feed our sleep to make for peaceful dreams.

The Wonders

The unknown of "WHAT IFS"
Sets the mind into confusions
It twirls and twists into knots
and explodes into madness... Walking
like a zombie,
Heartless of emotions but walking aimlessly
to the Never Never Land of unknown!
Seducing your mind with beautiful dreams
A sweet grin soften up your face
The hunger in your heart is near damn as high as the sky goes
your hopes rises even for the trickiest
fool of the perfect illusion in the shadows.
You reach out to grasp on the rainbow so beautifully slanting above you
only to be graciously disheartened;
yet again!
Down fall you go
swimming in your pool of tears
and the wonders of it all
"WHAT IFS"
Strutting out as if to open a freak-show... Smile!

Jesus Christ the incarnate son of God
one with the father in heaven above
while on earth displayed all godliness
showing to all mercy and love

This Christ displayed His power
performing wonders for all to see
but humbly meek in all He did
casting out demons setting captives free

On one occasion told His disciple
when needing to pay the tax
go to the sea and cast a hook
bring out first fish you catch

When you open its mouth
you'll find there a shekel
take it and bring it back
pay the taxman so all will be well

Such is the majesty of Jesus
to make people stand in awe
for He's able to do all things
came also to fulfil His law

AUTHOR NOTES: ' When they came to Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma tax went up to Peter and said, “Does your teacher not pay the tax?” He said, “Yes.” And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tax? From their sons or from others?” And when he said, “From others,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free. However, not to give offence to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.” Matthew ch 17 vs 24-27

Premium Member Jeweled Wonders To Behold

Atop a walnut table with ebonised legs
Sat a Victorian brooch, white and red.
She wore diamonds and rubies brilliant and bright,
That sparkled within all sources of light.
Bejeweled little butterfly trimmed in gold,
A wonder you are for the eye to behold.
"Am I not beautiful?" inquired the dragonfly,
from its perch on an occasional table nearby.
Dressed in diamonds, rubies, and mounted on gold,
With enameled wing and tail, a dazzling bouton pearl...
It too was a wonder for the eye to behold.
"What about me!" shouted a diamond pendant watch.
"And me!" shouted a brooch with a white paste heart.
"What about me?" inquired a flower, art nouveau...
"Enough! shouted a disgruntled Cameo,
dressed in pearls, diamonds, rubies, and gold.
"We all are wonders to behold!"

A wonder of wonders
you emanate light
lovesick and deranged
I'm dazed by your sight

your eyes are beguiling
your lips tantalize
my body's a'quiver
for you hypnotize

your touch is like heaven
your kiss, my demise
my melting has started
you'requick to surmise

you know you have power
you relish each sigh
moving in closer
you press against thigh

I look up and wonder
how can I withstand
when all that I feel
is your traveling hand

you breathe in my hair
and whisper desire
knowing full well
you've ignited my fire

your lips ask the question
through passionate kiss
will I acquiesse
and give in to bliss?

with each soft caress
I swoon and I sway
my body your own
as you have your way

And as you lie dreaming
I lie still, awake
I look at your face
My heart throbbing with ache

You are so celestial
You are so divine
the love that we made
defies reason and time

A wonder of wonders
you are a delight
I lie there and long
for you through the night

You wake with the morning
and reach out for me
My heart starts to flutter
Our love's meant to be

Oh, wonder of wonders
my heart and my soul
It's here in your arms
that I am made whole.

A beach or beaches, so many to explore,
Ocean or sea or bay are viewed, some never seen before
Familiar rocks, lighthouses erected to save lives
Seagulls activity, their sounds and out of control flight.

The sea seems to call like sirens from sea adventure tales
Stories of Mermaids, Neptune and Davey Jones locker
The loneliness of sailors as they sail the seven seas
Memories Abound as sea shanties are sang.

Waves breaking as they roll to the shore
Slowed down until they are no more
Soft sand or pebbles dependent of time gone by
Sand to walk on, it squelches between toes.

Pebbles that hurt feet, protect the coastline
Sounds of pebbles moving, as the tide washes over them
Angry waves soothed as they reach the shore
Tides relentless movement for evermore

Fear of watching the sea in the darkness of night
What lays beneath the sea surface?
Another world, all fish species fighting for their lives
Fishermen, why not fisherwomen described?

When do they decide, their catch enough will fill?
Regulations looked after by whom
Fishing boats with massive nets drag the ocean floor
No creature is safe from these marauders.

Restaurant fish meals, eyes looking sad
Better to choose cutlets, no feelings of where from
Feelings whirl as you leave this wondrous haven
Striding through life with new found admiration.

Premium Member To this day she wonders

She remembers
The depth of his blue eyes
And how he once told her
Sullen and pensive
That should she precede him

He had it all worked out and
Knew exactly what he would say
Hating such deep discussions
She changed the subject and
Thought nothing more of it

He died first the odds were right
The house so empty now
She recalled how sorting through his things
She had never come across
Any handwritten draft of a eulogy
and she wonders to this day
why he took his last love letter
to his grave

The spiral staircase made her high heels sing
While she ascended to see faith’s work-surprising…
Triumphantly awaiting her was a great blessing
Indeed, an answered prayer, worthy of praising!

“With God, nothing is impossible,”* she shouted
“Dad’s cured from ailment with which he’s been afflicted.”
Miraculously, her father’s wish was granted:
To witness his daughter’s wedding he then waited!

From here the City churches pierced the mist
Announcing festive celebrations from their list
Revealing that the Sovereign Lord does exist
Thus, to seek and trust and Him, man should not resist.

Father and daughter extolled God’s wonders of care
How they worshiped Him for safeguarding their welfare
The father checked his “Trust God” notebook with awed stare
He closed it, and, now smiling, crossed the square.

Midst joy, He offered thanksgiving for their grand state
Saying, “You’re good, Oh, God, and great. You’re never late!”
He’s well to bring his daughter to her altar date.

*Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
