Premium Member Beautiful Day

I once fell prey to circumstance
Took away all of my romance

I bounced around from girl to girl
Learned every oyster has a pearl

Sometimes within the things I feel
My broken heart had lost its will

Lost in the game I had to play
I rode the “Top,” and spun away

Freedom was no more than a whim
My life was looking rather grim

Many lovers but had no love
I had no one to hold above

Many years since I had been free
My monkey had its hooks in me

Then came the day I met my wife
She brought romance into my life

She helped me up then helped me see
The beauty of the soul in me

We have faced so many trials
Together walked many miles

We faced our demons, faced our ghost
Scraped all the burnt up off our toast

Whatever trials we must face
It’s each other that we embrace

For within our love we have found
Nothing in life can break us down

There is no storm that we can’t weather
As long as we are together

Lord this poem to you I pray
Thanking you for another day

Another day that’s full of love
It is my wife I hold above

Trials come and then trials go
Together we reap what we sow

We turn trials into blessings
As we face what needs addressing

We live a very simple life
Together as husband and wife

Within our love it’s clear to see
Everything is as it should be

I just have one thing left to say
Is this not a beautiful day

Premium Member Schooldays Sweethearts

Schooldays sweethearts, they grew through their teens
Enjoying life together living their young scenes

He knew there would be a day to complete their task
He went down on one knee, he'd a question to ask

My darling Elaine will you please marry me
I want to be with you for all eternity

Their day arrives inside the church he awaits
A silver Rolls Royce arrives at the gates

Out steps a lassie in splendid bridal gown
Sparkling in white with her diamond tiara crown

The music plays as she walks down the aisle
So gorgeous and radiant as we await her smile

She lifts her veil as she faces her husband to be
As we await their vows for the whole church to see

The words we have waited for are beautifully said
I do to each other as now they are wed

The reception awaits and the cutting off the cake
As they share a kiss remembering their first date

Premium Member The Better Half of Me

Not a single day escapes from me
That in thought you are not near.
Your lovely smile always brings
To each new day a ray of cheer.

Oft times, in thought, I question
What life without you would be.
Should I awake and find you gone
And there remained no one but me.

In you is the heart of a servant
Your love I could not resist.
Until the end you'll always be
My rose that the dew has kissed.

Can You Remember; the day YOUR Voice, Died; to my Ears
To Lose my Wife Lenore : on Our Wedding Day all Those Years

Reminisce : in the History of Forever : “ The Day; the Dead, Survive “
How much more I want to “ LOVE YOU “ for that’s what Keeps me Alive

I Know YOU Will ALWAYS LOVE Me with All My LOVE for YOU
My Tears are unfulfilled Dreams; Crying for the Memory of my LOVE " YOU "

                                     A Dedication To Eternal LOVE

For Diane

They asked me which day of my life was the best
This set me a quandary I must solemnly attest
Could it be that day long ago when first I met you
Or the cold February day when you said ‘I do’
Twenty five years wed a momentous occasion
The birth of our children must enter the equation
Sadness on the day that our last born went away
Joy the first time that they all came to stay
The birth of each grandchild made us feel so proud
As though we could float on high in the clouds
So many, many great days so imposable to choose
My heart can’t decide as each one I peruse
This day or that day which one was the best
Many happy days with which I’ve been blest
I can not just pick one so this is what I will do
I’ll pick each new day that I wake up with you

Radiant Gift

Her eyes tell of her deep compassion and love for all.
Glistening in beatitude, a gleaming star so divine,
Heart beating with passion, deserving everything fine,
Upon her celebrated day of birth, I made the call.
As I gazed into the Heavens, upon the beauty I saw.
My Baby’s face came into mind; I named the sign.
She deserves immortalization upon the skies design.
I purchased a celestial body from a map on the wall.

For her day of blissfulness, I gave her a reflective piece
From the firmament of heaven, she will last forever.
Now she can gaze upward and feel a loving peace.
Her spirit held and guided, with such glorious endeavor.
Truly, definitely, she deserves more than this lease.
My lover and friend, and her star, will never sever.

Happy Valentine's Day Joey

Happy Valentine’s Day Joey

February fourteen twenty eleven
To my wife who’s in heaven

Saying I love you which you already know
A few other ways that I can show

I will be sending a message balloon your way
Love and kisses are a few words to say

I will light a candle for you dear
Another way to show you I still care

You do know how much you are missed
You were the first love I kissed

I miss you my love so very much
In my dreams I hope to feel your touch

Signed with love from me
Happy Valentine’s Day Joey

I know it's early, but.

His Greatest Loss

This day brought unexpected sadness and sorrow,
This day took away his longing to ever see another tomorrow.
As he held his tired old head and fought back the bitter tears,
This day had come, the culmination of all his fears.

As he held her still and lifeless hand and gently stroked the face he dearly loved,
He looked towards heaven with tear filled eyes and spoke out to the Lord up above.
He said dear Lord it’s been awhile and you know my very worth,
He said Sir I know You placed us together on this here earth.

He said I feel like a lost puppy and so hollow down deep inside,
He said I love her more today than the day she first became my loving bride.
Lord like everyone else we had days that were good and some were rough and some were bad,
But this day I’ve lost the best friend I ever had.

She knew me better than I knew myself, she knew my thoughts before I could speak,
She knew my heart, she knew my strengths, and points in life where I was weak.
It won’t be long and I know we’ll be together again and forever more,
The day I walk that valley and cross over to those Celestial shores.

I need to apologize to those who have commented on this poem thinking it was a true story,
it is fictitious but to those that commented I know your heart is one filled with beauty
and love. God Bless all Ron

Valentine's Day 101

St. Valentine's Day comes once a year. This holiday has been celebrated by people
from around the world since the day chocolate was made in Colombia, roses started
growing in rose bushes, and that kind of stuff. It seems that al of the loving couples
(the boyfriends/husbands and the girlfriends/wives) have been giving each other a
lot of roses, a lot of chocolates in a bunch of heart-shaped boxes, stuffed animals,
Valentine's Day cards, and stuff. There's also romantic dinners for two, especially
when they will have made reservations for two at one of their favorite five-star
restaurants in the city. How lovely is that? And Valentine's Dances are held at one of
the best known venues: at the school gymaeseum, a community senter, or
wherever. And when it comes to Valentine's Day, it's for when these two lovebirds
to have delcared their love for each other. And so far, everybody knows that
Valentine's Day is on February 14th. Love is in the air for all of the lovers from
around the world and everybody's feeling it. These lovebirds (the men and the
women) are even thinking about getting engaged and/or married on St. Valentine's
Day, especially when their friends and families are witnessing the ceremonies and
stuff. Let's hope all of the couples don't break up, that also includes the same-sex
couples. And without Valentine's Day, there's no love and companionship. I wish
every day was St. Valentine's Day.

Premium Member The Farmer's Wife

It came into her mind, seeing how the clothes
Were dirty, and the water needed drawing again
How hard, how drear the work on the farm goes
And chickens needed feed'n, hogs needed water
Why women and not men were expected to tend
To all these hard chores, and not go to the shore
To explore, play, and stay, taking all day to get away
To relax not totally be tired out at the end of the day

He couldn't understand why she was so tired
Never felt like being the turtle dove
That he wanted at the end of the day to love
To hold for just a few minutes of consecrated
Attention, to share what he felt and wanted;
Why he talked to the mule more dedicated
Words, than she talked to him at night
I'll just get me another life with another wife

Premium Member The Heart of a Poet : Speaks ( Part 1 )

Hello , POETS and POETESSES : as my host would say
I have been asked to speak in his stead take it as you may
Like many other Hearts I have known infatuation and Love
Of course I know only of my host’s Love, blessed by God above

I remember his eyes first beheld Her auburn hair, emerald eyes
I leapt, fluttered uncontrollably I never felt warmer : Closer to YOU
Every time my host even thought about LENORE ( LOVE at Sunrise?)
I would receive a Heavenly shower Of Blessings and Glory LOVE YOU

When it was time to write a POEM for his Beloved LENORE “I raced”
I learned to speak to my host : suggestions Clarity he would listen to me
And I would take the LOVE of his POEMS and bury it deep within my Soul
Using Love as nourishment , strength, the Knowledge of ETERNAL LOVE

The most Wonderful Day I Eternally Remember : August 25, 1971
The day my host Married his Dearest Most Only Beloved “ L E N O R E “
I was up early Beating in a panicky, Frantically, Sort a way: I’ve never done
It was a Beautiful day in the Blue Carribean Sky mirrors ocean mirrors Sky

Author's Note : This could be a four part POEM or it can end here I will ask for YOUR
Comments to decide Beating for YOU :A POET'S HEART

A Day Or Two

Your treatment is done
you will soon be home.
Just take it easy now
and be sure to phone.

You have to stay there
for just a day or two.
And I will miss you
you know that is true.

While I am here
just on my own.
Home just doesn’t
feel like home.

But you will be back
in just a day or two.
Back here for me
to look after you.

So don’t you worry
whatever you do.
And just remember
how much I love you.

Wife and a Mother

Joey And Mother

Mothers are a gift from the heavens above
All through life they share their love
Mothers are the greatest creation
They are what they are and need no explanation
From that first day starts a new life of love and joy
They do anything to protect their baby girl or boy
They walk around as proud as can be
They want to shout look I have a life inside me
Bigger and bigger she gets as time goes by
Some suffer from pain and they cry
There love is so strong that they can bear the pain
They suffer and pray that it all was not in vain
The greatest day on earth has come
With some pain and pushing you are now a mom
You have suffered a lot and sometimes cried
But now it is over and with a baby at your side
Now the easy part is over and your baby is here to stay
You become a doctor a lawyer different people everyday
You protect and raise them through the years
With love joy and even some tears
Now their grown and its time for them to leave
You think back over the years while you grieve
Even thou they are gone and hardly call you
They may not write but they do love you
Mothers belong on a pedestal with the word rare
From the first day till the last they always care
Mothers are and will always be
The greatest any world will ever see
When it is her time to go to heavens place
She is sent back to earth wearing a new face
Over and over a mother they be
To give love to their new baby
Back and forth from heaven to earth
With love and joy and giving birth
Mothers are not one of a kind
They are all the same with love in mind
With love in there heart from heaven they come
Before you move on let me say I love you mom

Mothers Day

This Mothers day I have a lot to be thankful for;
Loving children, a beautiful wife, whom I love and adore.
We've had our ups and downs, lifes not always been sweet;
Financialy we may be low, but our needs we seem to meet.

No matter what life may throw our way, one thing I know is true;
I can face each new born day, as long as by my side theres you.
You wear so many hats each day, Mother husband friend,
And still somehow always smile, and warm my heart within.

This Mothers day I want to say thanks, for all that you have done,
For being such a great mother, to your daughter and your son;
For being a wife and maid, soul mate and best friend;
and for seventeen years ago, opening your heart and letting me in.

Happy mothers day my loving wife, my heart belongs to you;
Your all I want or could ever need, These words I speak are true.

MY VALENTINE

A special day is set aside
To express the love I cannot hide
A day to say my heart is yours
From mountain peaks to ocean shores

You mean so very much to me
Much, much more than you may see
That is why I pray each day
And thank the Lord you came my way

I pray that we may always share
The love that He has planted there
Deep within this heart of mine
I love you, darling Valentine

This was written for Valentine's Day especially for my wife, Ruth.
