Best What You See Poems
Your mind your thoughts, they are you
What you see in a mirror is not so true
Its what you are thinking
That makes you feel good
Think about this, you really should
Its how you feel, what people perceive
Its your vibrational energy, do believe
If your on a low, that's where you'll go
And all that surrounds you, are on the same flow
I know you've been there many a time
What brought you back, was it your mind?
Yes it was your mind for sure
You had had enough in that state
Only you had the power to open the gate
And set yourself free
To come back to reality
Feeling happy is a natural state to be
If only you realise the power in you
A prolonged thought, will come true
But must be held with passion and feeling
Take this on trust, cause seeings believing
When you feel wonderful, and life is great
The world around you will flow in this state
But to keep it there and not fall back
you must Never ever think of lack
This is something you've never done before
Cast every bad thought out the door
Every moment of every day
Positive thoughts must be in play
Its hard to do at first I know
You must keep battling on
Its when your thinking positive thoughts
Nothing can go wrong
You will slip at times, but that's OK
If you get back on track straight away
For that is where you will find
The creation of all your desires
HELD WITHIN YOUR MIND!!!
chemistry confounds me
how can it be
that one person
can be seen by others
so very differently
What makes the difference?
One sees sinner
the other sees saint
how can this be
it's a mystery to me
I see someone whom I love
being reviled
and someone who is vile
being glorified
why is there chemistry with some
While others show only apathy
I don't understand
you see, how can people look at me
so differently
one sees a flower
another a thorn
one sees a gem
another a stone
one sees a little girl
another a seductress
one sees a hurting heart
another a vengeful villainess
explain this enigma to me
I'm still just ME
what makes the difference?
Oh...now I see
the eyes see the same image
but the heart is the interpreter
and those who see the beauty
and those who see the beast
are merely seeing
what is peering out at them
from the very depths
of their
own
hearts.

Tell Them What You See
Proverbs 25:11 KJV
There once lived a son who at the age of 30, telephoned his 58 year old father.
The son was distraught, dismayed, and depressed. He was unhappy, unable, and unsure.
He said to his father, “Dad, this world is an awful place and so messed up”. He was figuratively seeing dark clouds through dark glasses, and was surely disenchanted and disillusioned.
As he was describing to his father how he felt, and what he saw from where he sat, his father said to him, in a manner to offer a little hope, “That’s not what I’m seeing”.
In figurative terms, what was it that the father saw that the son could not see? The father continued to give him comfort and advice. After they were off the phone, these words came to the father:
“I see rain falling in season, filling all available reservoirs.
I see snow capped mountains, retaining snow in Winter, to be released in Spring, sending water to all”.
The father knew that he could not always rescue his son from bad decisions made, nor even shield him from life’s stinging bees. But he could always be there providing, a “fitly spoken word”, just to tell him “what he sees”.
The father was then refreshed with the understanding, that when a father has done all that he can do to help his sons and his daughters, and there is little else or anything left that he can do, he can always “tell them what he sees”.

What you see is what you get.
When I look in the mirror I see I’ve got it.
Perhaps I’ve got a bit too much of it.
I walk past a store I can see in the window
as he walks along with me he’s got it bad
I am comforted to know I’m not the only one
Do you like what you see in the mirror?
Do you cringe at your sordid reflection
Take heart my dear friend, could be a lot worse
We all have minor imperfections
There are some of us with big oversized honkers
And a some have these sticky out ears
Eyes that are crossed and foul smelling breath
Who haven't had friends in years
People often say “we'll call you next week”
But next week never seems to get here
Could it be they're just trying hard to avoid me
With my belly that's seen too much beer
But the bottom line is we are all quite unique
No one has a claim on perfection
We don't have a choice with how we turn out
It's totally about natural selection
So now I feel better bout my funny appearance
No more need to cover it with a beard
Had this face fuzz since nineteen sixty-two
Without it gonna feel a bit weird

I See What You See
The Darkness That's Inside Me
Lost In The Red Sea
"success is not always what you see"
This the tale of the janitor
Who loved his job with a passion
Who shone at his job like a star
Never late to work on a single day
Never called in so many years
He met many fresh and young students
Who all were trying to achieve big dreams
Carrying their big school bags as they rushed to their classes
He cleaned the floors and surfaces for them
So they could learn in a clean environment
He maintained the school, with skills that ruled
His joy to see graduates, his joy to see new faces
He met lecturers with features well textured
Some too serious, some always had a smile as they passed him
The countless footsteps that he cleaned
Of tomorrow's stars
The many tears that he wiped
Of tomorrow's heroes
The trash he removed
Of cleaner minds
Always remembered
The face that saw it all
The man that kept all in order
Every closed eye isn't really sleeping
Every curved lip isn't gladly smiling
Every empty stomach isn't craving just for food
Everyone else's life, as you think, isn't green and good.
Only if you wish to look beyond, you'll see,
There are unshed tears behind those restless eyes
There are unsaid words bolted by those curved lips
There are unheard tales burning the walls of parched stomach
Your mere assumptions and conclusions do not work.

What you see is what you get,
But what you don't see, you don't get.
Because, you see, I have worked very
Long and hard at hiding it away.
I have built a wall in front of me,
But I am learning that it's just 'a' wall,
I can always walk around it.
you see the good in people i see the bad
you see a little girl with a lollipop i say wheres her dad
You see the killing of a war criminal as justice
i say what justice comes from freeing someone through
death from this hellish world
You see a bright light leading you to heaven
i see a train or dark rain clouds not far away
You see a first kiss as love or not i see the first kiss
as someone else s insecurity that they'll never have that chance
again. Clearly are views are different but one thing we can agree on
is none of our views are wrong
In epic self-loathing
I let the phone ring, knowing
how you interpret silence
but hope for a psychic storm to send
respect from a thoughtless martyr across
30 miles of invisible space.
This contradiction believes
in hope but bears none;
thought doing right by you was
as simple as words (spoken,
perhaps, in haste but not insincerity)
when every step forward was
impulsive, marred by guilt
for a twice-lost picture of a life
I never really lived.
Flawed, perceptibly,
and unable to believe that
there is grace in weakness
when it stays my feet in time
as you move...
Sitting alone in a bar one night I watched
A man leaving stumble as he reached the door
Unbalanced, he slipped and fell to the floor
Dead drunk, sobbing, plainly aching and worn
The male drinkers grinned and saw comedy
Women drinkers frowned and saw stupidity
I eyed the mishap with sympathy and clarity
Perceiving misery, giving support with objectivity
We all harbor internal traits some would deny exist
Not discussed or admitted that we try to resist
But a Third Eye is a gift that should be treasured
Its value cannot be scientifically measured
It’s intrinsic worth is that it seeks and finds truth
The Eye rejects easy answers, it looks for proof
Of the source that triggers commonplace incidents
Effectively evading the façade framing human events
A Third Eye doesn’t see the future, it cannot predict
It’s a precious tool absent threat or conflict
A gift bestowed by a nameless, mystifying entity
What you see is not always what you see.
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
Been through the fire
Been called a liar
Been through the flood
But yet they judge me by my blood
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
Heard the folks talk indeed about me
Don't know why they was ever called a team
But growing up I know I'm a girl whose about achieving her dreams
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
I want you to see the young girl who I grew up to be
I'm tired of getting used and getting tossed
If you can't handle my looks , then get lost !
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
If ugly is what you think I am
Then so be it
Because a ugly girl whose about achieving her dreams
Is who I grew up to be !
