The Bottled Message

The hue of the sun was sweet, round, reddish-yellow citrus orange,
Light was illuminating in scattered patterns throughout the pines and willows of the
park.
The sunset traveling deep into the brown irises' core--
The plump child's fingers intertwined with her mother's hand;
Life consisted of butterflies and undisturbed reality . . .
The flowing stream and wooden bridge circling the park in San Diego,
Water-- how mystifying and powerful to a small girl with a smile,
She had created a message. Her message. Her art. Her scrawled piece of work.
The abstract scrap was rolled into a glass bottle--
The stream seemed to pass in a circular pattern . . .
The mother placidly lifted the shiny bottled and motioned her to drop it--
Reluctant to have her message released,
To be discovered. Her first secret.
"Let go. Let someone else look upon your message someday."
The girl let go.
She watched the bottle flow away into the orange hue . . .
The girl wanted it to come back;
Perhaps, just maybe, the river was circular.
A river with no displacement--
IT wasn't the distance the message traveled that mattered;
Inside of the young girl, it was the motion that kept her heart moving . . .

Take a Look Into My Eyes and Tell Me What You See

Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
Been through the fire
Been called a liar
Been through the flood
But yet they judge me by my blood
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
Heard the folks talk indeed about me
Don't know why they was ever called a team
But growing up I know I'm a girl whose about achieving her dreams
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
I want you to see the young girl who I grew up to be
I'm tired of getting used and getting tossed
If you can't handle my looks , then get lost !
Take a look into my eyes and tell me what you see
If ugly is what you think I am
Then so be it
Because a ugly girl whose about achieving her dreams
Is who I grew up to be !

Funny Girl Sits

Series of clerihews

Funny girl sits
Waiting among broken sticks
Looking for the sign
To crossover into the divine

Funny girl sighs
All the unspoken lies
Seeking out the truth
Evolving as a sleuth

Funny girl cries
As the music dies
Tossing in her sleep
Waking only to weep

Funny girl laughs
On another’s behalf
Grinning without fear
Even through the leers

Funny girl sits
Waiting among broken sticks
Looking for the sign
To crossover into the divine

If I Can So Can You

in the corners of my room i place all my chapters of life

each one consists of a new beginning and an end

living in the streets covering up with newspaper

eating out the garbage wearing someone elses shoes

all were apart of my life

i never thought id be that girl who begged for a quarter

or the girl who snuck onto a strangers porch to sleep

conflicted and confused constantly in a daze

my life was like running through a maze except worse

people were my targets as i tried to scam them all

hey when your living from moment to moment

you run fast until you fall then call for help

but not the police they are the ones who kicked

me off the streets

i seen alot of people die and witnessed many crimes

a thirteen year old girl sentneced to doing time

never dropped a dime or snitched on anyone

this was my life nothing about it was fun

throughout the years i grew up learning how to get by

made money hustling this and that spent nights getting high

was violated by men three times for sure

emotional scares for thats there is no cure

lived the fast life with ballers and king pins

committing moral and cardinal sins

my time was running out the feds were on my trail

no way was i gonna cut a devils deal

i had two choices so i picked number one

i begged GOD for forgiveness from HIS only son

the journey was tough so say the least

but in the end i enjoyed a great feast

A NEW LIFE!!!!

now im out and life is good can take me far away

but never from the hood

i closed those chapters in my life straightened myself out

and stopped living trife..

IF GOD GAVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE HE WILL HELP YOU
BUT YOU NEED TO HELP YOURELF!!!!

GOD IS GREAT HE GAVE ME A REASON TO CHANGE
                       LIFE
