Premium Member I'M Vinyl Baby

i’m vinyl baby,
easy to scratch,
easy to gouge,
prone to warping.

i’m a 45 rpm record,
single and labelled,
still got track marks.

dot dot dot
from the seventies!

you know there’s
my black side,
my dark side.

i’m a 45 rpm record,
single and labelled,
still got track marks.

you,
you’re my diamond needle.
i'm your music,
you know me,
 you play me.

you,
you’re my diamond needle.
gets under my skin
rides my
grooves
you.

still,
even pass these years,
still,
when my time comes,
pack me in my jacket
bury me in your closet.

you know i’m still
your song,
your tune,

dot dot dot

you make my life neat.

spin
like a circle
i’m the black vinyl
on the roundabout

you,
your still
the only
turntable
for me.
you.

i’m a 45 rpm record,
single and labelled,
still got track marks.

play me!

The Narcissist

He's in love with his own image
He believes that he's a king
And punishing women
Is his favorite thing

He thinks he's really special
Entitled , above the law
But I can see right through him
and all his ugly flaws

Nothing will ever stop him
From taking whatever he can get
Leaving you heartbroken
And living with regret

He don't care if he has hurt you
He don't have a heart to hide
Everything is all about him
If he ever said he loved you, then he lied

Without mercy he will use you
And not lose an ounce of sleep
Then tell you it's all your fault
The reason that he cheats

Warping what is real
Cutting you down to size
He won't miss a beat
And he'll revel in your cries

Relentlessly he WILL abuse you
Crushing your very soul
So you'll never love again
That's his only goal

He wants to know you suffer
It feeds his egocentric mind
Giving him your energy
While you slowly die

Then he's got you where he wants you
And the torment begins again
Til he's twisted everything inside you
Completely f@#k!ng up your head

Reckoning

Unspoken words hang in the stillness of unmindful space,
like a touch never to be felt
A sight never to be seen
      A curl of smoke dissipating

A twist of faith has broken both wings
    Deeming, thrusting, unfeeling
For those who can no longer cry
           Or fly

A die is cast, rolling against time
    Crushing, Shattering, Smashing
         A fate and destiny
            That would never be

The once welcoming arms are now closed (forever shall be)
Faith has run its course (it was false after all)
        All that remains are tears,
             That would never dry

A hollowness dwells within,
  Siezing, Grasping, Clutching
    All rationale and sane thinking
       Hurling, Heaving, Tossing

           EVERYTHING
                Into a void of sorrow

OH YES, a hollowness dwells within
  Painful, Numbing, Dreary and Stark
     Warping, Bending, Blighting

        HURTING, DIStorTING, C o N t O r T i N g, FakinG

           What LIFE should BE
                   It all happened

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Metamorphosed

I see their intentions,
In their trances of manipulation,
Mind-warping affection, they laid upon you,
And knowingly you feed on what I thought you were absorbing…

You lash out at me screaming, saying,
“Rest your distrustful inflicting,
Look me in the eye, accept me, and free me!
I will consume their darkness in a bleeding light,
Whilst juggling in the enigmas you cramp me in!

You wonder why I welcome all,
As danger tickles my curves, arresting your nerves
You most sacred, superstitious little butterfly
Cease your incessant, mocking lectures
Flapping your wings at me in a colorful warning

Yes, I know you have seen it all you perfectly transformed worm!
I know what you know even though you think I do not know it!
Your metamorphosis of completion is impressive, yes,
Yet in your expectations, you ignore the fact that I am shapeless,

Stepping into the open air to confront change with all of its surprises.”

My multihued resolve silenced her…
“I hear you! I hear you oh so clear,
You innocent, raw little worm of a girl…
So I shall allow, just know:
My mighty wings are here to shade you, not smother you
As your guardian, I will trust with sting
Swearing on my every heartbeat,
I will protect you as you engorge on the thorns you call beauty
I will lift you from the brushes to let you peek at the hungry birds,
And you will plead for me to shield you once more
Though when I do not, and the birds dive down to consume you,
In fear, in haste, you will sprout your magnificent wings,
You will call out my name,
And in tears I will watch you fly far above them all!”

West Texas Wildflowers

West Texas Wildflowers
Waving in the wind
Weather-worn whispering
Whirling warnings to my window
As I water my wallflower
The weeds won’t stop growing
So I whistle the wisdom
I once welcomed
As I wish it away
Watch me wane
As it wastes me away
I’m wilting
With the willows
Weeping
Weakening in this web
woven around me
I’ve quit wondering
What a wasted world
I’m surrounded by
Windows but the walls are all warping
Who waged this war not worth winning?
Will all you want
But wait as you will if you are not working
No time for wandering
I work because I’m weltering
But I’ll always grow weary of the wyrd
The west Texas wildflowers warned me

Premium Member Addiction

In this arid plain of perennial drought,
as I stand transfixed with vexations rising in my spirit
and sadness lying mute as a stone,
I discern, I am alone with none to hold my hand
or share the burden that weighs me down.

Trudging through rugged paths
with my mournful shadow, tottering along,
the past sneers at me, breaking open
bottled up memories- of years spent in unbridled passion,
the smell of cigarettes, ganja and beer
wine and women, bet and gambling,
and the thrill of having won and lost
I had addictions many and they kept
gnawing into my psyche!

Once I walked with stilted gait
with friends and fans, amid laughter and haste
eager to please and to praise
Inebriated and effervescent were we
Fancied money could buy all we yearned
and turn this Earth-a virtual Paradise

But how swift was the twist of fate!
With no condiments, life suddenly turned bland.
The gorgeous castles I once built, burnt down to cinders
like dry leaves blown by the wind,
Friends, I thought never would desert,
flitted away one by one!

With dejection and despair warping me down
a rabid dog I strayed.
Grew irritable and vicious,
fled away from bond and bondage
spitting the saliva of my angst,I barked… barked at everyone;
“Where did vanish all the fabulous dreams
Whither gone life’s ritzy splendors?

But the wildfire burnt itself down,
now a passive stillness has settled in.
In this inert hush, as I grope, through murky corridors
with the sound of my footsteps falling like a thud,
a single query breaks out from within
‘Where shall I hide unseen
from this horrid loneliness staring me in the eyes?’

And through endless space
Through Eons of travel
At quantum light speed

Relative to
Passing seconds.

Warping space
Eternal…

I’m all,

Premium Member Selling Serenity

The internet has morphed
into a fickle friend,
warping reality
in many subtle ways
that no one could foresee.

The internet has morphed
into a worldwide web
that influences you;
bombarding you with posts
that tend to tout one view.

The internet has morphed
into a confidant,
with sympathetic ears;
like an omnipresence
crying emoji tears.

The internet has morphed
into a platform with
its own identity,
in a fictional place;
selling serenity.

Premium Member Lost Love Deliria - Part 1

AWAKENING

Sleep and slumber, dreams of wonder... weaving,
morning’s vacuum broke the spell
Pitted pillow, note of parting... leaving,
“from your friend, a fond farewell”
Sunrise throbbing, twilight aching... grieving,
daydreams, flashbacks, nightmares knell
Pale phantasms, visions sneaking... thieving,
plot to fill the empty shell

12 DELIRIA

1st Delirium: Collapses
Fractured sky bolts, billows bursting... rumbling,
heavens tighten, turn the vise
Horsemen saddle shafts of lightning... tumbling,
jagged highways must suffice
Ruptured skyways, hailstones crackling... crumbling,
naked pearls of paradise
Toxic tongues of laughter stinging... stumbling,
ocean buckets choked with ice
Droplets drumming, thunder muzzled... mumbling,
washed out whispers pay the price
Smothered blazes, cinders smoking... humbling,
ashes shaped in sacrifice

2nd Delirium: Descents
Asphalt alleys, ashen faces... frowning,
blowing bubbles, chewing gum
Drinking ale from tavern tankards... downing,
moonlit beads of painted rum
Stony stars and sea misshapen... drowning,
humble rivers’ rhythms hum
Apparitions aspirating... clowning,
diamonds dying , minstrels strum
Incandescent candles conquered... crowning,
vacant vapours, cold and numb

3rd Delirium: Fates
Tempest turmoil, tapered turrets... holding,
dungeons, dragons, chains and racks
Wheels of fortune, Tarot temptress... molding,
Hangmen, Towers, One Eyed Jacks
Sand dune castles, cryptic candles... folding,
warping walls of liquid wax
Idols colder, combed and coddled... scolding,
hide in fissures, peek through cracks

Premium Member Love Grows Even Stronger

Blue skies are bruised purple,
as a storm approaches me.
And the Gods evoke thunder,
furious at what they see.

I’ll not cower to their rage,
to do so would be tragic.
For love grows even stronger,
when it’s rooted in magic.

Warping my reality,
I pulled you through a portal.
And as myth morphed into real,
a mermaid was made mortal.

With the heat of passion's flame,
hope forged flesh onto bone.
And fashioned a fantasy,
so I’ll never be alone.

I conjured you from a dream
and yet my love remains true.
For neither heaven nor hell
has claim to my soul like you.

Pleasant Melancholy

It is symphonic
It is rhythmic
It tells a story,
of love and life,
of pleasure and pain,
of joy and sadness;
a story of defeat and triumph

It is the invisible book
of the human experience
It has the power,
to move you,
to make you yearn for more,
of its delightfully painful,
audible deliciousness

It can deliver you;
it can be your cry of deliverance
It is so mysterious;
it could only be celestial

It straddles the emotions
quietly packing a punch,
but pulls it, only to suck you in

When it hits,
it leaves no bruises
It knocks you out,
into the habitation of joy;
a relief from heaviness

It is transcendent;
a passport and transport,
to the esoteric zone;
the inner longing of the soul,
warping the time in its wake,
at such a pace,
that leaves you transported

It blows in,
from beyond the firmament,
riding the undulating,
invisible crests of space

It is copious in joyfulness,
filling the soulful emptiness;
an aid to cope with the sorrowfulness
of humanness,
reaching deep into the soul,
soothing even the savage beast

It is infectious, but does no harm

It is delightfully musing;
rousing a deep satisfaction,
yet, in it, lies a deeper longing,
for something or somewhere,
fleetingly familiar,
very present, yet very distant

Seemingly desiring to reconnect,
to something or somewhere,
enchanting, elusive, and disconnected

Shhh! Can you hear it? It is music! It is Jazz!

Perseus Galaxy

Staring into midnight sky
Vastness brings both fear and hope
Millions of light years separate us
Visible only with telescope

Time’s illusion tricks our eyes
As we view ancient history
For all we know it’s dead and gone
Swallowed up in mystery

From Perseus someone stares back
Seeing the Earth in different light
Dinosaurs and ancient plants
Who've yet to meet their final plight

Fewer masses of dry land
Larger than exist today
Mammals yet to dominate
To dinosaurs they’re only prey

We both exist in time right now
But neither sees the current state
Time delays warping perceptions
Unable to communicate

The Forest

The Forest

I walk through an ancient, gloomy forest.
Everything is shrouded in a dark fog,
flowing over the contours of the earth.
Uncertainty floods my mind, warping what I see and hear.
In the distance, an owl faintly asks his question.
I spin around, again and again.
Faint padding. The cracking of a twig.
Wind howling, fear takes my head.
A flash of grey, gone as if never there.
I flit about, glancing this way and that…
A faint moon reveals my horrors.
A half dozen wolves, grey and black,
crouching before me, ready to snap.
I stumble away, my back now against a tree.
They close in, readying themselves.
I unveil my dagger, but to my dismay and distress,
the wolves are like no other.
Transforming on spot, into those whom I love,
I think, “Am I strong enough for this?”
Before I conclude, they strike with speed.
And before I conclude, my horrors are gone.
Before I conclude, I’m hearing Death’s psalm.

How Many Good Men

Character.

That's where the biggest measurements,
truest tests of worth
should lie.

And yet, 'tis not so.

Sometimes, mostly, I believe
that it's indeed enough.
That being a good man
is enough to keep me afloat.

Sometimes, rarely, . . .
I don't.

How many good men die?

How many great people, nice guys,
saintly women, shining paragons of humanity -
are shunned?

People don't always look at you
with virtue in mind,
don't gaze through honor's eyes;
too often they look through you, into you,
to what you can do for them.

Too often they choose,
not to see the real source of light in front of them,
but instead just the glow of fool's gold;
warping your worth to mean usefulness
instead of selflessness,
utility instead of altruism.

Or they misread you entirely;
focusing solely on your looks,
or your wealth, or your mannerisms,
your attitudes;
one is chosen, only one is seen -
the one made to blemish and demean.

Very few gaze on the whole picture,
take in the whole work;
these are those you treasure.

The ones, also, of value,
the ones who are what they claim
and claim little more than living
in a respectable way.

But still, in this life,
character matters oft too little;
gathers all but nothing corporeal.

In the end, one must make a choice;
tangible wealth, or wealth of pride?
What matters to one more -
the character of the substance,
or the substance of the character?

I strive to continue
to believe that great people are there;
that who you are
makes a damn bit of difference.

But throughout that strife,
ever am I haunted, shadowed,
by one ceaseless question.

How many good men die?

That's it. That's what I want to know.
That's what follows and taunts me.

How many of them fall, without ever knowing
just what they've meant to those they've helped -
those they've served, protected, assisted, befriended?
Whether it was a much-needed pat on the back,
picking up a dropped cane, searching for something lost;
or something bigger -
a life given, an oath fulfilled,
a love or a friendship began and striven for -
how many never believe they've made a difference, however slight,
never realize what they truly were?

How many good men die,
having once or more asked a question of their own -
am I a good man,
was I a good man-
without their answer?
