Selling Serenity

The internet has morphed into a fickle friend, warping reality in subtle, social ways, that no one could foresee. The internet has morphed into a worldwide web that manipulates you; bombarding you with posts that only tout one view. The internet has morphed into a confidant, with sympathetic ears who is omnipresent; crying emoji tears. The internet has morphed into a platform with its own identity, in a fictional place: selling serenity.

Very clever, and it's not a crime-- but whatever happened to the rule: "true rhyme"? (xAxA - xxBxB - xxCxC - xxDxD)

Thanks, Michelle, You are correct, I did get off the rhyming pattern...my excuse is this was my first attempt at this form. I appreciate your comments and I have edited this poem accordingly, my friend, Emile.

I suppose when we die most of us will be forgotten, but there will be serenity there.
