War

Whence diplomacy fails mankind.
Soldiers amassed with patriotic duties to fulfill.
Some willing, some underaged, some desperate.
Weaponry and vehicular production overdriven.
Military strategies drafted that await execution.
Prayers flood the heavens, farewell letters penned vigorously.
None prepared for what’s to come, sweet talk is all they have.
Come dawn, they depart for the frontlines.

Unto the battlefield where the enemy lies.
One step forward and all hell breaks loose.
Gunshots pierce, artillery’s shrapnel far-reaching.
Mangled corpses sprawled for families to mourn.
Commands roared but not followed for fear fuels the men.
Chaos ensues ruthlessly with no end in sight.
Death and blood saturates the gruesome battlefield.
Oh dear God, do you hear the cries of sorrow?
Oh dear God, do you see your land blood-brimmed?
Who will you aid when good and evil are indiscernible?

Countries conquered, engulfed by terror and atrocities.
Air raids never ending, bomb shelters becoming the second home.
Civilians contemned, slaughtered like pigs, experimented on like rats.
Prisoners of War starving to the bones as they labor restlessly.
Anguish ever present but naught can be done to rid it.
Oh dear God, do you witness the atrocious brutality?
Oh dear God, will you show them mercy and end their misery?

Homeward, anxiety ravages mercilessly like a plague.
Will my beloved return for college?
Will my darling return to love?
Will my dearest return to tuck me in?
Answers undetermined for life preaches uncertainty.
Politicians stand unscathed whilst comrades lay crippled.
In the perpetual bid for peace, the world drowns in blood.

Exploding Airbags

Exploding Airbags

There you have it, another car user death reported in an accident..
Somewhere in Houston , Detroit a 17 Year old is the latest statistic...

As in any day, while being on the road, we risk getting into an accident..
As luck would have it, most of us survive to live and tell, to relive the incident....

With the latest technological advances in vehicular safety incorporated in cars..
We all spare nary a second thought on the issue of exploding airbags in cars...

But this latest accident, what a scary piece of news for the unwary driver...
The car being driven, it could have been fitted with faulty air inflators...

There has been a massive recall on affected cars the world all over....
Is that nice family car you are driving one of these affected car models...

In this latest accident, this unlucky Richmond girl rear ended another car...
Nothing to it, it was just a minor accident, another mishap involving cars...

In the words of the investigating police officer, most people safely walk away..
But in this unfortunate case, the sudden jolt triggered the airbag inflators...

Safe to imagine, the exploding force blasted to smithereens metal canisters...
Imagine the split second moment of flying metal shards and shrapnels all over..

What an unimaginable deathtrap in the fine cosy interior of a nice family car...
If one is unlucky, one will not live to tell the tale of walking away unscathed..

So here it is, a little info on this unintentional death that endangers all drivers...
Each time we get into our nice family cars, are they safe enough, do you wonder?

Vehicular Homicide

There is no shame in nakedness of self
Discarded were the clothes of woodland creatures
Who would have worn them off eventually

Stand before me,
Look-
There upon that black shelf
The one that extends forever in directions of the sun

Watch-
Up and down this opening
Lay the bodies of my heritage
Killed by “zippets”
All my toes, I counted them, they had not a chance

Once-
The binding season crazed their thought
Jezzi was wooing BeBe, and he chased her
To what would have been their nest
Had he made it cross

Watch how it glistens like water beads on a strom
I almost darted over it
Had it not been for my le-bov-ed, ashee
I would be “can’t fly food”

What more can this harm do?
All their overfeathers, torn thin.
Apart went they, under this foul wind and instance

Better for you I am wise
Observing the forest floor as a watch-maiden
The smallest, tiniest, utterance I officiate

Like cries on the black shelf
Oft they wazzle me eyes burst
Panning the crunchy for a victim
Only to trail the splitten voice twice seen

It is safer here, on the crunchy sound
Where the zippets don’t fly
We can soar with appetites for tomorrow
Beneath the close of our eyes

Car Be Me Car Fast

Car Be Me Car Fast

Car be me car, not you car, car be fast, me be fast in car, me fast
Go left car go left.
Car be fast go left all day
500 laps, car be fast, laps go fast
Me car go fast
Win cup with car be fast
Get milk, when car go circle fast, go left
Other determining factors in auto racing are
Quantum balance, stream line vehicular shape, and grace
Rotate tires for proportioned stops and maneuvering power
Due diligence, judicious use of space while racing
Decreased velocities at corners
There is no time for second place
No stop signs, by design, on racing days
Only a subtle touch of gas and brakes
A discerning mind to optimize the vehicles potential in this venture
Speed fuels the need for high adventure
Surrounding the circular path as the masses gasp and scream
So comprehend, surmise the cutting edge, turn left
Eloquently traverse the course with an exotic flare
Settle smartly, land right there, in winner’s circle
Car be fast, me be fast, but me come in last

Born In the Grave

She had serious anger issues,
a walking time-bomb set to explode
Only took one untoward look
to make her lose all self-control
Sent her careening down the path
     of a bleak penitentiary life
Another not-at-home mother
Another absentee wife

So what became of the husband you ask
Her ten-year sparring partner
On the first anniversary of
when her fiery blast went off
He was drunk driving ninety —
     a blazing vehicular Molotov
Crash ... burn ... black hearst
When she heard news of his death,
she mourned him with a curse

So what became of the kids you ask
Five children left home alone
Got buried beneath the emotional rubble,
their innocence vaporized ... pppfftt!! ... gone

They were children conceived in make-up lust,
     between rounds of fights royale
They were children raised in abject neglect,
destined to only experience living hell

They were children born without hope,
they were children born in the graveyard cell
They were children already dead,
lo, before their first breath was ever exhaled

Simultaneous Equations So Why Worry

Riotous warblings of a very vivacious swan is often evenly placed in a bread basket. Behaviour of classical clams can be seen to be barbaric and dotting a chair is not patented. Ok. Interested in bat caves then. How quite far is it to the caverns of the large melting chocolate ice cream dishes. Cast iron rocket slaters then. People plantings picklings pinnings. Cavernous cauldrons of Lilly pads on a marble field. Trunks of glue faced leopards on a journey to spaghetti lettuce farms. Planning meetings then. Wibbly wobbly hair bobs. Wow how not very gracious. Callous acts of a missionary queue in a trough or in fields of many metric metres. Volumetric vehicular vases. *** hahahah xx the crow that eats the pickled tree sap will gain much wisdom. But the crocodile with candyfloss teeth will play devils advocate whilst spinning on an umbrella.*** hahaha simultaneous equations xxxx 1 2 3 4 clap clap clap clap xxxxx ha

Lyric Poem I Reminisce

I reminisce by this railway siding pond,
Musing on rail relics rattling on,
Recalling lives and times bygone,
But memories of their shades linger on,
The lonesome call of distant steam trains,
Eras that may never come our way again,
I see they're gone nowhere in particular,
Replaced by planes and transport vehicular,
I imagine queues on foggy platforms,
Awaiting the misted trains' shadow forms,
Standing by, expecting the status quo,
I blink my eyes, where did they all go?
Looking backwards along yesterday's tracks,
I'm no kid any more, get off my back,
I reflect and reminisce,
Nostalgia is for the past we miss,
I'll reminisce by the railway siding pond,
I recall the times and lives bygone,
As rail relics keep rattling on......

Another Time Musings 1

Another time Musings

Where roads add, alongside cars that multiply,
So also power supply, as its need grows,
Where folks do not , from social duties, fly
And, due care, for those dying slow deaths, bestow,
Where cooking gas refills are in prompt supply,
Rice with bran intact and similar stuff flow,
Where, with toxin-free-veg , markets are full,
And in public spaces, men are just helpful

Where dissent is not democracy’s sole proof
Not a law-unto-itself is the police
Where price -line don’t daily hit the poor roof
And politicians can not be had on’ lease’
Where governance is beyond all reproof
And women could walk streets in total peace
Where peace, love and justice make a haven
May I one day wake into that heaven.

For: Nette’s “A moment in another time” contest
Inspired by: Tagore’s famous” Where the mind is without fear….”.
This poem is locale-specific, reflecting the way things are here, where, among all the good things that had happened, certain failings too stand out, like, roads that had seen no development in hundred years when its vehicular traffic grew thousand fold , power shutdowns that over years deteriorated to the present twelve hours a day ,and corruption and misuse of democratic freedoms that had become rather the rule than an exception, and instances of man’s pettiness against man that had lately become so obvious in public spaces, etc. And hence what is expressed may not ring entirely relevant for all readers in their respective contexts.

RE-INVENTING THE WHEEL

The universe rhymes with poetry of motion
Ecstasy expressed in lyrical expansion
Where nothing stays stubbornly static
For the laws of motion aren’t erratic.

The rhythm of life is poetry in motion
Trudges on time with triple acceleration
Toils to take timid living on fast trajectory
On revolving wheel, a revolution in human history.

Carts and chariots chained to churning wheels
Got liberated morphing into modern automobiles
Clever craftsmen made them carriage of desire
An art in motion, supersonic speed they aspire.

A famous fundamental physical factor called friction
Imparts an important impediment on vehicular motion
On the week wheels that turn tortured by the ground
They haven’t yet taken vehicle across barrier of sound.

Modern life is moving fast like planet rushing in orbit
Time has come now to design a deft vehicle for it
That would face no constraint of any speed limit
A new era of motion would dawn on concept of transit.

This I would like to achieve by re-inventing the wheel
That would turn on ground but the touch would be virtual
The frictionless vehicle would attain the speed of light
Make space-time travel to the past a delayed delight.

Animal Instinct

(preferably read in a Boston accent)

When pesky problems piss you off
At no one in particular,
Or bleeping blockheads boil your blood
To rage like old Caligula,
Or dawdling drivers make you mull
Mass homicide, vehicular,
Don’t blame yourself; it’s not your fault;
It’s just your darn amygdala.

Potential I Presume More Limericks

Potential I Presume More Limericks

Big and tremendous come to mind.

Tremendous, stupendous, upend us.
Gargantuan, passion, trashing.
Immensive, aggressive, sensitive.
Ultimate Utmost, out grossed, horrible host.
Pittance, sentence, repentance.
In effect essential, provocative, potential, quite intentional.
Necessity, complexity, anxiety.
Court Municipal, Peter Principle, always apprehensible.
Concerting, blurting, hurting.
Infinitesimal, decimal,  inexcusable.
Horribly huge, difficult deluge, shady subterfuge.
Passion, mansion, ration.
Explanation, creation, prevarication.
Expedient, concillient, what he meant
Congenial, menial, essential.
Validate, marinate, create. (For you cooks out there.)
Ballad, salad, valid.
Repudiated, humiliated, regimented.
Surgical, liturgical, hysterical, historical.
Urgence of resurgence of common sense.
To endure, become obscure for sure.
As of late would be great if they negotiate.
Kept at bay until miles away so Standish did say.
Had to humiliate to rehabilitate then consummate.
Were reassured could have occurred if enough endured.
My patience was tried then cried and cried after he had lied and lied so Bonny could be bona fide.
What part of the ocean had Bonnie been laid over at anyway? It must have been some perfect excuse
to go on a cruise and of course if you snooze will definitely loose.
Love could have occurred after I was assured no more lying will be endured.
If totally transparent, it could be inherent was apparent both were probably a potential parent.
What to we did allude, the became unglued in the middle of a family feud.
Embarrassed we became when he was up to his old game of seeking more fortune and fame.
Guess who and am sure you knew when bailed out the whole crew.
Patiently particular, was a homicide which was vehicular deduced by a diverticular.
Beside the sea with idea would wrestle should nestle under a trestle out of rain to wait for next vessel.
On Trump it finally dawned, if he would wave his magical want another witch would respond.
Instead of Grinch he would be the Witch Who Stole Christmas among other things.

High Priests and Priestesses of Environmental Conservation
My comrades and I hereby present our observations

In light of runaway climate change and glacier-melt
That among our brothers and sisters is so keenly felt

We see no other course but to revert to our former ways
For if not, our future will soon dwindle to a matter of days...

Hence, we recommend retiring all motor-powered transportation
Returning to the trusty burro and steed for all our vehicular needs

A ban we must institute on all electric lights
Let us restore the wax candle to its rightful place in the night

Last, but not least, an immediate halt to all technological development
Returning to our native roots, to be one with Nature in envelopment

O, High Priests and Priestesses of Forward Thinking
Please accept our report ~ knowing that our window for change is shrinking

Accident By Birth,

The torrential rain subsided
As she peep through the dark mute street
With her heart socked in regrets
A decision has to be taken
Parenting the small angel alone is hard to chew
The little angel smile at her
But she waved it swiftly
As she robed him beside the trash of life
Tears dropped from her eyes
With his umbilical cord still oozing
A connection to motherhood
Her breasts still beaconing
The innocent look, innocently smile at her
She reached out for her swift feet, lest hell is set loose
At sun sets
Passersby nodding
Vehicular moves halt
The atmosphere filled with fears
Has the world gone gaga as Lady Gaga?
Well we are all insane retorted a voice
The boy grew in home far away from her womb
With his true identity unknown
Terror and love visits him daily,
Questioning his identity
Who am I?
Am I just an accident by birth?
Am I actually Awoh?
Even as such,
If my true identity remains unknown
I shall give the world a definition.

Let's Spacify

Astronautics in Reverse Chronology

   The Space, 2272 AD
The space race continues among the nation
With astronautics being the eternal passion
Without minding interplanetary discipline
Robotic spacecrafts penetrate umpteen
Leading to inter-galactical contamination
Such a cut throat and fierce competition
The passion soon has become a greed
Among the nations of Sapiens indeed
Biosignatures are soon to be asset
For the ‘blind’ and brainy humans great..1

Typical habitats and biospheres
Are at stake due to many reasons
Invasive species ready to outcompete
With latest techniques fully replete
Let’s devise non-contaminating journeys
Towards the space and its mysteries
Before we curate the soil sample
Let’s honor the alien culture ample
Human spaceflight is an epoch making thing
And space tourism – a new normal amazing..2

Effect of spaceflight on the human body
Has been a supreme subject for everybody
Space habitat is my curiosity extreme
As my cosmonauts study umpteen
Bioastronautics and space pharmacy
Will soon be a regular supremacy
What a new jargon of space my Lord
Let me verse being a ‘spacial’ bard
Space architecture being latest command
Let’s fulfil the universal demand..3

The Earth, 2072 AD
Bountiful become our effort
When folks vie to support
Zooming helter-skelter are shuttles
And we building space castles
As our super shuttle penetrates
Into the space that spread
Future is full of flight
As we yearn for new light
With new rain and sun shine
Wow! Pleasure is all mine..4

Spacescrapers due to migration of sapiens
From countries and continents in billions
Vehicular pollution being root cause
On earth increasing are many cars
Gardens and greeneries like oasis
Have been a rare sight in a way precise
Promotional pics and hoarding
No serious thought on health and hygiene
Cities and metros full of poison
I feel here choked in treason..5

Such a choking experience on earth
Taken away our all mirth
Apartments capitols and concrete
Jungles without trees so pathetic
Shameless ads posing nudely
Driving harsh and so rudely
It’s time to revamp my system
That is named after sphere solar
Knowledge strategically applied
Translates into wisdom wide..6
