Walking on clouds in the heavenly blue
In a job that I loved, with a sky view,
Let me travel with a smile on my face.
I've sojourned afar in aloha's grace.
Every city, every place had a song...
A melody played as I sang along.
As many years passed and I longed for home
I gave up my wings; no longer would roam.
Island of pineapples and sugarcanes,
Vapor trail dreams, from paper airplanes,
Memories now, I recall from above
Have left me contented with my sweet love.

Once upon a time while touring ancient Egypt land,
A frugal auld tourist from the bonny land of Scotland,
Decided the mysterious pyramids he desired to see,
And he demanded to visit them for a very nominal fee!
He repaired to his hotel bar, sat down and ordered a drink.
He needed ample time upon this bold adventure to think.
After downing several tumblers of Gordon's gin and tonic,
He thought, "By jove! A trip by a camel would be exotic!"
He scurried to the local camel rental agency very much areel,
To haggle with the rental feller and strike up a deal,
That would guarantee a care-free trip to the pyramids and back!
An agreeable pact was struck and he gave the man some jack.
Just a few hot and dusty kilometers out of town,
The camel stopped, snorted and lay down!
The irate Scot hailed a traveler heading back east,
Saying, "Send that guy out here to rouse this insolent beast!"
Rubbing his nose and scratching he head he kicked the camel fast!
The hapless camel broke wind with a most resounding blast!
"Aha!" explained the agent, "The problem was easy to unlock!
This old feller had a very serious case of vapor lock!"

Rose petals plated on caste mold
Savory patent impressed on manifold
From Nature's palate sweet oils doled
Essence of extracted beauty flowed
Into fashioned vial tinged with gold
Nature's, vintage aphrodisiac bankrolled
Mysterious guise, transparent, yet stunningly bold
Onto suave cheeks the charming potion scrolled
Distilled love massaged into every, ivory fold
Enamoring scent suitor's, impulsive glands to hold
With intoxicating fumes, ephemeral beauty sold
To the salivating nasal ducts of every, unwitting cuckold
Delilah's gaudy folio modern women have deigned old
But with the rose's alluring, timeless scent still cajoled
Unpainted, unmarked mask; devious designs unforetold
Emitting translucent vapors that mind's eye does behold

Life, a Vapor
Written: by: Tom Wright

Life’s footprints,
I correlate to tracks in fresh snow;
Track depth or stretch of days
Hold no lasting significance,
For flow of time and noon day sun
Prompt both to fade beyond existence,
And others to question, if in fact,
They ever existed.
Acts 17: 31 KJV

Near the belching
condensate tanks
off the interchange,
slinks a mammal
with abnormal need
to find a blind
with water to drink
and flapping fish to eat
instead of concrete.
He sheds a scowl
under the amber glow
of buzzing sodium lamps
until veins gather force
like throbbing tributaries
that course from a source
pure in flexing purpose;
despite how we deprive
he drives to survive.

Incantations of A Dancing Marionette, Dancing Nighttime directional Vapors of Death
invisible, nefarious fumes that make the dead
terminations that rises, to awaken one's head
up and vomit! plead and shout!
but your voice needs air to breath
now Deceased, a (the) criminally sacrificed dead
choking incomplete incantations, Uttered in you head (prayers)
beg for clemency, you will receive no answer
although, tears may flow
consequences have already been taken
crafted from a hellish place
hold back , one's bleeding pinkish achromatic (black) tears
human suffering is but a necked ritualistic, activate,
frequencies of self-contained housing units of fated fears...

Rolling in the tides of time,
the larger rock a pebble now,
Rattle crackles with the others
in the squirming gravel’s maw.
Up back down - up back down,
persistent, insistent waves of the tide of time:
Boisterous thundering; rolling, boiling cannon roar,
returning calmed in rushing brine.
Pebbles flash dance in sandy froth,
razzle-dazzle in cross tide ripples,
Mingle there with beaches flotsam
bright shiny in the sparkling stipple.
Relentless seesaw ebb-tides, sliding grinding
the pebble to sand in timeless wave labor;
Ground so fine its powder dissolving:
pebble flesh now sea foam vapor.
Eternal flow of lava birth,
pebble life resumes on earth.

Ice is water that held the container tight
and found the shape of its containment just right.
Water has no shape when not confined,
No dish, no jar, or holding wall to design.
Vapor is water without many friends
Up from the heat and containment it assends.

Tires hurt,
leaning left
far too long-
Rubbed raw…
A few feet away, fist-sized clouds of
Tiny Scarlet Trempeleau Butterflies paused-
Sipping nectar glistening like jewels from
Morning drops of dew, clinging to the running
Strands of Wild Pea Bush, with only daybreak in
The distance…
These beasts outside my window,
Hazy under Old London Street Lamps-
Silently glooming in middle night, awaiting call to arms
Of rush-hour traffic...
wishing one never to come-
the other
……to never end

Ekphrasis
the cloak around this world is a breathing vapor,
spreading through the streets & sewers.
carrying an illnes that reaches deep
through every vein and living cell of humanity
but some people fight against it,
in the bliss of a touch by their divine spirit,
but eventually they'll become lost in the ways of this world
because everyone knows, it's too late.
this world has already been infected
and it'll keep on spreading further,
like the sickness of the human-being.

Imagism
One auspicious morning warned me of nakedness
I felt, what actually is ‘bareness’!
Our bodies are all covered
But mind? It is blocked, corrupted ever,
Nude, selfish, artificial, ruler!
Since we grasp a flower,
We smell it, also we do admire,
She dries up and soon we forget her.
Its nature, peculiar human nature,
Who calculates profit and benefits ever.
I brought some tulips, as red as blood….
It reminds me I am alive,
Fills me up with charming odor.
I blow my head towards them,
As they blow with the air.
I try to listen what they whisper,
Soon they become my palls;
I love them, talk to them,
I share them all, as nobody else is there;
I try to serve them with utmost care,
See, they are alive, so haunting is that glare!
Slowly days pass, the tulips turn fade,
I serve them with my heart to keep them straight.
I loose my companion and I also become pale,
I cannot isolate myself as we were tied together,
As the cells of garlic is tied one with the other.
The petals fell out from the bundle,
Air blows them around me in a circle,
I dissolve my existent into those red bloods,
Dried hard, still so true, so real heart.
Selfless, unpretending, forever adorer.
