Best Unfaded Poems
Enchantment of magic’s sweet passion has bound me
With minutes and hours I now must reclaim;
Spellbound, love calls to the spirits around me
And drifts into dreams at the sound of his name.
The breath of his memory awakens from slumber;
I hear the soft whispers of a loving refrain
That stirs in my heart such an infinite hunger
With incense to scent each exquisite strain.
The face of my love comes back in a vision
With sounds of his voice in the soft grey gloom;
In a twilight of stars when the scent is Elysian
I wait for him under the plum tree in bloom.
So hushed is the flute of a love song enchanted
With music he played when his mouth was stirred;
I now hear the song so tenderly haunted
Invading my dreams with all that I heard.
As green leaves and blossoms twine and are braided
The strings of my heart have come undone;
When the lush of the green vine is woven unfaded
The binding of my heart with his is as one.

Ten mile peninsula in Queens, N.Y.,
nighttime jetties of moonlight white caps,
waves rising and ebbing.
My grandfather walking with me on the
daylight shore so many summers ago.
My dreams of Rockaway unfaded.
Watched the WTC twin towers being built
through binoculars.
Rockaway, in my soul's nostalgia
you still beckon.
Salted lips quenched by Coca-Cola.
The youth within me can still hear
the seagulls calling in the breeze,
and still see the amusement park
under 4th of July fireworks.
Dada, I miss you and Rockaway.

How I love
All of you
The myriads of poppy flowers,
Such amazingly have flourished
For one or two day of May
on green and fresh hills of Birke.
How I want to say
I never forget all of them
And keep in my soul
Your astonishing dancing
On the mornings wind.
Don’t worry, dear beauties,
I diligently pick up and save
Every one of you
In my great artificially created Universe,
Called the Sphere of Shwartwalde of my memory
Where every one of them,
Innumerous girls emerging for instance
And recorded in my soul
From my early spring on Birke,s hill
Till the last…
Will find plenty pastures and places,
For eternal unfaded blossoming
And I will dancing with you
And invite my dear one for such
Unlimited and endless
Mega fest

Lyric
Joy and happiness dance in my beautiful soul
As i picked up my companion to write this eulogy,
Mother , i love and cherish you more than thousand luxuries
An epitome of beauty, pride of savador
Citadel of knowledge and wisdom you are
Woman of prestigious honour and peace.
I speak of your peace and reputation
When the air has gone on vacation
and The oceans on a journey faraway.
You give life to me upon many odds and misery
Behold me in your humble arms amidst joy,
Tribulation, pains and sorrow yet you complain not.
Call on the nightingale to sing melodiously to me
When i cry, you cry louder
You feasted on decayed food to give me better one
Led me along an arduous path of healing and wholeness.
I sing of your joy and love
among the heartless hyenas in the wild wood
You never leave me behind the stormy weather yet
The dimples on your cheek remind me of hope and success.
I adore you mother, queen of the east
Priceless gift of nature.
Nwanyibuife your native name remain me of woman value
I am on the other side of the world
To bring back the lost glories to your home.
Cry no more for the sake of your beauty
Your unfaded skin which remind me of African beauty.
I love you mother beyond human explanation.

Nigeria is my fatherland
where heroes are breed
there i was born among soldiers
i schooled and married in my father
land
my fatherland is the origin
of many great leaders
who never sleep while others slept
they walk in the air and,
gravity pull them not
pretty women with unfaded skin, very
industrious
are made there
all hail to our fatherland, Nigeria
my fatherland is the giant of Africa
it lay in the west coast of Africa
surrounded by green grasses and
water
i am the first born of my fatherland
first a citizen of Nigeria
before other country
hard work is our legacy
service is our policy
our hospitality strangers admires
and faithfulness and honesty our aim
come home to fatherland brother
let us work together
to keep Nigeria Together
it pays to be together.

A map marking the way to live,
a light guiding me on the road;
until the day my King returns,
a friend helping me bear the load.
God's Word lives, speaking across time,
reaching down the centuries to me,
lifting me up, holding me near,
addressing all life's problems perfectly.
Written in the Spirit's ink,
unfaded by the years of time,
I trace God's unfailing grace,
redemption red, through every line.

CONTEST NAME: "CHOOSE A TOPIC" CONTEST
TOPIC: HEART BREAK AND LOSS
"I'm yours forever" he promised
But fate had it all vanished
Masses who called them perfectly paired
Here and now terribly mourned
Still she was just found silenced
As she recalled her promise unblemished
"You'll never find me disheartened"
As usual she fullfilled and he breached
All left was his memories unfaded
And her future perplexed.

DIVINE-MOORING
Brouhaha filled, I am left with an obscure mind
Many things in life unfair I find
Berserk my soul went
Solitude fermented my present.....
Then, I was a gullible but had around a huge company...
For I silently agreed and blended in their symphony....
But as my voice I raised against their vices many
Was left with torn-relations like a marooned pony
I stand at crossroads yet which path to trace, no choice
Life turned labyrinth of animosity, revenge and strife
In the vicinity no help, no solace , no hospice
But with faith in heart, gathering courage I rise
With unfaded belief to solve this tohubohu I pray to Thee
Guiding light shone granting a divine mooring to me!
Fight, though alone, against malefic things if you see
For what wins always is righteous and erring have to flee
He is there up above to save us and fill our life with glee!

I want this night to last forever
Heaven is just around the corner
waiting for me at the gates of tomorrow
But right now are our last moments
till heaven, when we will meet again
we will begin where death has left us off
Where will tonight fall off of
the edge of our worlds
we'll become aliens to a new world
How many kisses and words can I give
each second or hour that I live
to last, unfaded, until we meet again
Now we stand inside the foyer
taking away pieces from each-other
departing our own ways
Through death's door I walk
through a lava rock torched floor
to be carried up upon: North star's starlight

I turn and run down to the wet places where fawns remedy their
thirst from the waterbrooks. Panting, I fall to my knees and gather buttercups,
crowsfoots, hellebore and peonies and grind the crimson, white, yellow and
purple petals atop a stone. I brush the crushed blossoms into a straight trumpet
with my fingertips and dip out water from a brook with my cupped palm to mix the
elixir in the lily. As I lean over the small stream, brooding and pining away, I catch
a glimpse of my reflection below, only to notice the looming of a narcissus
beside my visage.
Then, I hear a song of coos go out to my love, and I turn about in
fear when I see the bobolink migrating. So, in a pledge of hope and trust toward
her, I knot the golden chain she gave me hanging around my neck. Thus, hasting
through the field of flowers, my lovelorn heart pounds as I run back to her.
Though she's slipping away, her ruddy color is unfaded, so I anxiously give her
the medicinal draft. Some spills over her milky teeth and rosy cheeks in rivulets,
while the remainder goes down within. I observe. All the snowdrops fall. The
buckthorns rustle. The central flowers in their clusters bloom, then all the
clusters open.
I stretch out upon my love mouth to mouth and breast to breast.
The potion stimulates her heart, and I feel her flesh warm under mine. Her
wounds heal. Now my love lies breathing, strengthened and embraced in my
arms; in our flower bed weeping aloud, we rise and clasp hands and dance
rings around the roses to my rheumy serenade.

Captured, beautiful thoughts
indescribable, breathtaking
indelibly branded to mind
enduring, unfaded
carefree summer days
swimming the cobalt ocean wilderness
rainbow fish, bioluminescent
purple, pink, orange coral cays
shimmering crystal waters
invigorated youth
heart skipping beats
crushing on you, following around
tantalizing flames lick along
my mind as I think of before
to one perfect day, a smile
that easy going laugh
you were magnificent
lightning struck my cautious mind
in that moment, I knew
my life would change forever
you were the one

Haiku
An imprint of you remains,
mingled in the blood racing through my veins,
hewn into my flesh you stay,
a chiselled tattoo from our long-lost yesterday,
deeply branded by your entire being,
rooted to a memory incapable of fleeing,
torn, and twisting inside my skin,
the pain screeches like jangling cans of tin,
a desolate nightmare this agony feels,
with a phantom whiff of your sweet breath my soul reels,
now that you are gone, lost within a labyrinth of illusions,
your voice swarms inside my desperate delusions,
scratching, clawing layers of past moments spent with you,
you are a part of me, an unfaded, vivid tattoo,
and as my dreams of you frantically race,
I am unable to erase,
the blazing picture of your exquisite face,
so let me be, and leave me to burn in this furnace of my hell,
I should have known better,
but all that matters little,
because it was for you, that I fell.

The unfaded image of rustic keyhole
One that is untouchable, invisible to others
My mind's twitching
Tense, locking the figure
One, two, three..
Counting my fears endlessly
I need to see, things that you keep them from me
That hatred that you scream it on me
Through your empty eyes
Through your hoarse voices
Through your unlocked image
I still need to learn,
How to love, to hold, to talk,
To walk along with you
I am far from my best,
I know.. I do..
Let me swallow every little seconds of time
To learn the real you
I am the beast and dwarf at the same time
My brain and heart never sync properly
My eyes and mouth never sing in the same harmony
But, this tall and small feelings always strong toward you
So, don't give up
Dive deeper into my soul
And reach me through the darkest
For through my pain and strong
There is always a place for you to find
Love that you can always reap
Unconditionaly

Nkporo, my wonderful Nkporo,
The land of great hills and mountains.
Nkporo, my Nkporo, whom my mother dance of,
Father died to pretect you from the Iboms.
I have not fosaken you because your
Blood flows right in my veins.
I inherited the unfaded black skin of your skin,
The sweet sweat of your sweat have I not look down,
Your blood shall not be shared among the wolves
Neither shall your back suffer in pains again.
Although bitter taste of undevelopment hurt you fiercely, but the cracking walls shall soon be repaired.
The trembling red blemish of poverty and torture
Shall be erased soon after we return home.
Nkporo, my country home, weep not;
Those trees along the road shall shield you,
Those streams in their prime shall calm your
Longing for attention.
Then shall their whips be far from you, my love.
We are coming with development to uphold you,
The roses shall we make brighter.
We shall comfort the dusty roads with black diamonds,
The light shall be lifted up to shine in darkness.
Nkporo, oh mother Nkporo, my love,
The land of the rising sun;
The tales of humiliation and underdevelopment shall
Someday be no more when tomorrow comes.
