Black and Unapologetic

I am not sorry for my brown skin , a magical mix of honey , gold , and the perfect hue of melanin

I am not sorry for my corrupted curls, and I will not "tame" them for society's cracked mirror of beauty .

I am not sorry for my lips , as full as the moon at the sky's darkest hour.

I am not sorry for my wide hips that stretch as far as the horizon .

I am not sorry for my loud opinions, scratching fallacies like nails on a chalkboard .

I am not sorry for my attitude , my pride , the way I strut like the fine Queen I know I am.

I am not sorry for myself or any sister of color loving and embracing their blackness , making you feel "uncomfortable" .

I am not sorry for being a running bloodline of the black woman , rooting deep in this country and sprouting my fruitful orchards in your backyard .

I am not sorry for knowing my worth.

I am not sorry for sewing the tongue that has been ripped from my sista's and brotha's mouths back into their place.

I am not sorry for demanding the respect I deserve.

I am not sorry for being happy and black

Angry and black

Unapologetic and Black

Fierce and Black

Fearless and Black

I am not sorry for being your worst nightmare.

The Stumble and Rise

I stumbled straight down by surprise,
To laughter and widening eyes-
But I jumped to my feet,
Made the misstep a beat
and waltzed as the crowd cheered my rise.

Premium Member Multicultural Britain - An Unapologetic Statement

Multicultural Britain
(An Unapologetic Statement)

Two “Festivals of Light” there are
Each and every year
The Jewish have their Hanukah
And Hindus their Diwali cheer

The end of Ramadan brings Eid il Fitr
The Muslim fasting's passed
The Welsh National Eisteddford
Culture, craft, songs not surpassed

There is the pagan Betain
That Celtic Festival of Fire
And the famous summer Solstice
Stonehenge, druids and sun inspire

Halloween crosses boundaries
Between Christian and Heathen
Leading on into November
Honouring death and ghosts of men

But amid all this Britain is
A bastion of Christianity
While accepting all religions
They too should be made to see

That in our tolerance still we stand
With our ceremonies and feasts in tact
Our Lent, Easter and Christmas
This is a simple statement of fact

Please don’t tread upon these rights
Which we’ve defended for years
Don’t rename our traditions
And cause confusion or trite fear

The Godless in society
Can rant and claim new ground
But faith is our foundation
And that foundation is very sound

So it IS a Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year too
The Scots can call is Hogmanay
Because they have and always do

It is a happy holiday
To all despite their creed
To each give them utmost respect
In thought and word and deed

But let us all remember
Respect is a two way street
Do not dictate our policies
Among people that you meet

This country was here before you came
And settled on these shores
This is the British way of life
That you’ve chosen, now, as yours

So let the religions flourish
And none to those who’ve none
And live in total harmony
Until our time is done

If I knew then what I know now

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd allow myself to feel and speak my mind
I'd speak more and stand for myself

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd make sure my voice is heard
and be more patient with myself

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd love myself a lil bit more and let People's opinions about me to slip my thoughts

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd be loyal to myself and listen more to my inner voice

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd be more mindful with my YES and very steady with my NO

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd be unapologetically free like a bird,
Flutter my wings and sing own song

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd be more confident and a little bit more selfish with myself.
To whom deserves My time, My energy, my heart

if I knew then what I know now,
I'd make sure each second in a day counts, to leave memories worth a thought

if I knew then what I know now,
Only if...
I knew then what I know now
I'd take more risks and never hold myself down

But now that I know,
I take the chance to correct all wrongs
Do my level best to make most with the time in hand.

Now that I know,
I have created a new me,
And I walk like am wearing a rollerblade,
Ricochet, unswayed.
I'm imperceptible, I am Untouchable!!!

Unapologetic

Im not apologizing
For what you see
You know apologizing
For being me
I love my skin im in
Its beautiful and unique
From my head to my feet
I wasn't made perfect
No not me
I was created by Thee
So I sit and stare
Because I am not my hair
Im more
I am a queen walking royally on the floor
I am not sorry nor sympathetic(sympathetic)
I will not be apologetic

No apologies necessary
No sorry
I am unique
No one can stop me
There's so much more to me
Than just a name
I am different and so many are the same
I could do different but I want to change
No need to be sympathetic
I am me
Unapologetic

Im sure everyone in life will not like me
Trust your opinion don't excite me
I just want to do better
Get things together(together)
Plan to make it clever
I have a lot to offer
Not charging
But it will cost ya
To know
With maturity comes growth
I am here looking at myself
Im pleased
I will do more than live
I'll succeed
Everything I've done in life
I'll never regret it
Im living my life unapologetic

No apologies necessary
No sorry
I am unique
No one can stop me
There's so much more to me
Than just a name
I am different and so many are the same
I could do different but I want to change
No need to be sympathetic
I am me
Unapologetic

Do you know your worth?
Have you found your value?
Some people and things you'll want in life
Dont mean that they can have you
You are awesome
You are precious
You are the greater
To every one lesses
You are the treasure
In the chest
We were created by the best
That's real
Look inside yourself and heal
From pain and disappointments
Praise God now for your an ointments
And your miracles
They're coming
Its your world
Just live it
Dont worry about others forget it
With these lyrics I spit
I hope it inspires you to not quit
Love yourself , no need to be sympathetic
Live life unapologetic

No apologies necessary
No sorry
I am unique
No one can stop me
There's so much more to me
Than just a name
I am different and so many are the same
I could do different but I want to change
No need to be sympathetic
I am me

Unapologetic

your eyes,
like my eyes,
like all eyes,
open & close to
the beat of our mind
being fed stimuli &
we make sense of it
all in the back rooms of
our brains, with the
accompaniment of
all sounds & feelings---
this makes it easy to
come to a thought,
when all the machinery
is in check &
yet a conscience,
one that becomes afflicted
by those things that
it cannot qualify,
that the thinking mind
cannot find reason to get
behind with,
this implement of
human compassion
does not come to us all
in the same manner---
so when it does,
when the eyes see
things that the mind will
not agree with & when
the thoughts produced
are manufactured into
words & then cultural
expression of any kind,
to apologize
for the deaths inflicted
upon others
by a tyrannical state,
a domineering &
horrific empire, marching
filthy pigs stampeding
through the neighborhood,
hired killers signing up
for the next SWAT on
a protest or for the
rounding up of
dissidents who refuse
to numb their passionate
pulse,
this is simply a crime against
our very humanity &
yet it is one which so many
act out, everyday, as if
their own lives will somehow
go on, unaffected by the rest of
the world.

Unapologetic

Earth angel chosen
speak truth rebel dynamite
Strong overcomer

Cat got 9 lives God grace
Many tried to dim my light
Prevail every-time

Question God why her?
Cupth running over glory
Thank you God Amen

Unapologetic

I never cared about fashion or following trends
I don't fear being hated or judged so I don't pretend
I won't be intimidated or pressured into changing my views
I'm unapologetic so don't expect me to say sorry to you

You dress it up but I'd rather get naked for it
I've got a sober tongue even if I get wasted for it
I'll follow my dreams I won't let the plan go
Fell for a lot of women but never will I lose my footing over a manhole

People speak their mind and apologize later
I can't relate because that just seems fake
I'll say how I feel and I won't hide later
My food for thought is your dream plate

Give me an hour with a pad and there won't be a clean page
orgasmic flow with the words to capture the heart of my dream babe
But I speak on important subjects, because I'm not trying to be Drake
People only doubt the ones they know can be great

I believe in my words
I provide honesty and knowledge for you to read in a verse
I'll rip my tongue out and swallow my vocal chords before I stop speaking the truth
I've got so much to say, I speak naked like my poetry is leaking a nude

I never cared about fashion or following trends
I don't fear being hated or judged so I don't pretend
I won't be intimidated or pressured into changing my views
I'm unapologetic so don't expect me to say sorry to you

Unapologetic Weather

by Parizo Van Thulare

Ohh! poor stratosphere
Your are no longer clear as you used to be
too much fear ,not feeling safe as we used to be
One minute you roar
The next 60 minutes you are rare

What have we done to you?
This days you have changed
I can see by your looks
You are starring at us like crooks
You have turned weather broadcasting machines into fools
They roll like a needle in a wool
For How long do we have to sleep starring at the roofs ?

Somedays you send heat to skin us live
Sometimes you send these unapologetic storms to bury us alive

No weatherforcast knows your pattern
As confused we are ,
We are just waiting to see what will happen

Taking us all won't help
Have Mercy ,
there are far more things to dwell

Unapologetic

I am unapologetic for the color of my dark complexion skin.

I am unapologetic for the way I choose to walk.

I am unapologetic for the way I choose to talk.

I am unapologetic for the way I choose to dress.

I am unapologetic for my kinky hair, and the way I choose to wear it.

I AM UNAPOLOGETIC FOR LOVING ME AND BEING ME.

GOD BLESS

The Unapologetic God of Newness

The Great Lord keeps making things new
A few might only understand this
The Lord renews, revives, and restores

In His Name, we have a New Birth
This is worth so much
In His Name, we have a New Covenant
This is worth so much

The Great Lord keeps making things new
A few might only understand this
The Lord renews, revives, and restores

In His Name
No matter how broken you are and
No matter how messed up you are
God through Christ Jesus can make you new

The Great Lord keeps making things new
A few might only understand this
The Lord renews, revives, and restores

The Unapologetic God of Newness
Can do New things in your life
He is the God of the New
A few might only understand this
The Lord renews, revives, and restores
