The Interview and the Trooper

THE INTERVIEW AND THE TROOPER

I was on my way to apply for a job,
My interview was for 2PM that day,
I wasn’t dressed for the occasion yet,
So I pulled onto the shoulder of the parkway.

My suit was in the rear seat,
So I had to move back there to change,
This way I could look professional,
For the meeting we had arranged.

So I moved the passenger seat forward,
In order to gain more leg room.
I felt a little uneasy doing this,
Since I usually get dressed in my bedroom.

I barely slipped into my pants,
But they were still down by the floor,
When all of a sudden, there was a knock, knock, knock,
On the window of the door.

It was a New York State trooper,
Who seemed to come out of nowhere,
He asked me to roll down my window,
But I was still just in my underwear.

I could not lower the power window,
Because the car was not on,
I was hoping that the officer,
Would not have to use his baton.

So I opened up the door,
He saw me sitting in my shorts,
I was having several thoughts,
Of making an appearance in the courts.

I gave an explanation to the trooper,
Why I was changing in the car,
But I’m sure he thought this incident,
Was still a little bizarre.

He let me finish getting dressed,
While he explained his point of view,
So he let me go without a summons,
And I arrived on time for my interview.

There once was a lass named Hortense
When she spoke she didn't make sense
An interpreter was needed
But the interpreter cheated
Swore like a trooper, made the air blue and intense

My chihuahua, Trooper is from the pound
It was him or Super an older hound
Formally known as Chico
I changed his name to Rico
He snarled, and left with a look of dumbfound

The name Trooper sticks he has it his way
Super the old hound comes to mind today
So Trooper and I
Go out for a ride
Super, Trooper, and I are here to stay

When Trooper acts up, I call him Rico
Himself again, my little taquito
I dropped Super, he’s now Old Guy
We’re off to the dog park close by
Just dog pound nightmares, they aren’t loquito

*loquito-Spanish meaning mad, crazy

God’s Diversity (University) (GDU)

God in his (infinite) wisdom…

(Had) Made humanity diverse…

So it (astounding) stands to reason,

Choice is (disperse of) the curse.

Taking (that) into consideration.

Differences among the population.

Some very good, others very bad.

The in between, an absolute sensation.

Therefore, we (have) inherit(ed) ability to choose.

To select the good or bad to guide our path.

Each candidate with (caskets of) diamond facets

For every occasion, a face, prospective leaders sport.
(Hopefully not selling short.)

We ask them to spout, what they are all about…..

Then need to (ask) divine what is bad, what is fine.

Lies expelled side-mouthed, and from the snout.

Come one, come all, (faithfully) you all need to fall in.

Into this trap they are happy to (have) set.

With promised concessions, they are going to forget.

(Having) No intention of honouring anything at all.

Once in office, not one promise will they recall.
(And we will start to bawl.)

The Lost Trooper

He rode the endless desert
As the days ran together in it

At first it was what he needed
But being alone finally exceeded

What he felt being the only law
In the Australian desert cut to the craw

He visited the homesteads occasionally
And saw Aborigines living their life free

But one day when the heat was unbearable
Life untenable he hung himself from a tree.

Storm Trooper 2

Storm trooper in name, in action party poopers,
pizzas like poops, the perfect pooper-scoopers.
Enjoying stuffs stale and stiff,
who cares watchdogs' snap and sniff?
Blockbuster busted, bucking up all its bloopers.

Storm Trooper 1

We are the fuhrer's cross-century storm trooper,
before us anyone except him must stand a stooper.
Storm the Dems in a jiff,
sink the SCIF, then skin Schiff,
sling back tightly locked and cooped Laura Cooper.
