Best To A Certain Extent Poems

My Creator

Embryo formed.
Fetus became.
A girl baby I am.

My creator I do not know. Procreation states that ovum and sperm conceives. My question is how does this evolve – from God?

We are told there are ninety-nine names given to the omnipotent. Let us take
     a walk.

Imagine a vision that all us possess of The Almighty.
He states, oh I know you call me God, the Lord, Jehovah.
Some call me Allah.
I tell you that all these names make no difference.
I am your creator.

The creatures of the Earth are animals.
The beings are my people.
You are of the greater intellect and animals’ spirituality is their understanding.
The world is ritualized to both.
Each knows their subsistence.
Affluence is all way of life divided for profusion.

Prey...
Work...
Both have no indifference to a certain extent.
I am of man and woman and I am the eyes of human.
Life will form for me within humanity.
Animal is part of this divinity.

From this visualization, what knowledge did I received; that my creator is ovulation and conception. This is an ascertain principle that in the beginning my creator gave me life that formed within modern time.

Life Changing Day

Her heart has just said that
It has found the one
That it wants to settle with.
So in anticipation of the day
She will have to hang about
In a life that she would
To a certain extent do without.

For the existence that she previously knew
And dipped her toes into
Would only make the birth
Of courtship she now desires
End up in a swell of sand.

She knows that it would take years
For her soul companion
To comprehend that her
Life in now fixed Just for him
And in the closing stages he may not
Agree with the amount of
Selflessness for such an individual,
Thus may even end up walking away
From such a surprising scene.

In her heart she also knows
That the life that she
Lives on this life altering hours
Will never make him even
Imagine of staying, for he has such morals
That just makes her seem to be a stray.

So to that new life that she is going
To set on herself today
She shall at slightest have
The smallest amount of chances
to be in his hands until the end of instant.

This now gives her everlasting hope
To live until that last day.

Butterfly

Butterfly

The words I need to say out loud
Are not those you want to hear.
They may be the cause of some upset
To you I’m afraid, my dear.

You see I’m not the person
You thought I was, I confess
And now that the truth is out
You’re going to be in some distress.

I have lived a lie these many years;
It’s been a burden and a curse.
Instead of getting better with time
It has only grown worse and worse.

I cannot deny what I feel anymore:
I cannot live this life of pretence.
I wish I could say something meaningful
That would make any difference.

The truth, though, is unavoidable
And as painful as it may be
It’s time to tell you the absolute truth
About the real, hidden me.

You see before you a successful man
Your partner in love, no less
You think I love you unreservedly
And that you bring me happiness.

That is true, to a certain extent
My dear, beloved wife.
What you don’t know, have never suspected,
Is my secret, other life.

The life where I am the woman
That resides in my DNA
The woman that only emerges
Whenever you're away.

I try on some of your clothing:
Your underwear, skirts and shoes.
I experiment with your cosmetics as well
Though I’m careful with how much I use.

I like to parade down the High Street
Dressed as my alter-ego, Claire.
I like it when passers-by look at me
And I love it when other men stare.

I feel so alive, so sexy
Dressed so provocatively
Now this is the way I want to live
This is how I was meant to be.

I’m sorry to drop this on you
You deserve better, that’s for sure
But I just cannot go on living
This uncomfortable lie anymore.

I am going to have the operation
That will free the woman in me
Like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis
You will see the real me break free.

        Which will open your eyes

Premium Member Working To Abandon Immortality

Let us accept this pain
and some fear
it will heighten autumn colors
crack of clean air
black crows in blue sky
lake.

Rather than fight pain, falling
asleep in front of tv,
understand the full
import of its situation
in the body. Blessed
once, cursed now
only fear prevents
full knowledge of experience.

The gray sky brings
winter, no blame.
The poet writes a few last poems
or continues to live with his pain.
In itself pain does not oppose
life, and may enhance it
or build character, create
wisdom. But too much fear
chokes the throat and burns
the eyes. It
destroys the last free
assessment of life.

              *                    *                    *

Now I am going to live in my body
as it is, almost fearlessly
running in pain, working
to abandon immortality
as a hope, conceiving
sunset after sunset
feeling what I feel.

On the streets I meet
many beautiful young women
curious to a certain extent
what makes a man older.
I can only say ten years
and the hand that reaches through
the cloud. I can say
only the knowledge of mortality
which makes us brothers and sisters
with the animals. And only
the acceptance which gives us wisdom
to couple often and lovingly.

How am I going to live every day
as my last, hoping happiness
outgrows fear by an ounce
or enough? By running, writing
and loving. By moving uphill
and downhill like a bear.
By committing my last words
to a powerful lord. How
do the clouds accept my dead
self? A rock thrown, a crow.

              *                    *                    *

When I am old
young girls will not be frightened anymore.
I will invite them
to my seat and tell
about the women I knew.
I will tell about
the clothes they wore
and how they earned a living.
I will try to remember
what was important to them
and if they had a favorite color
or knew how to divine.

Maybe I live and maybe I don't.
The smoke is white or black.
The winds are bright or dark.
The coins are heads or tails.
What have I been afraid of?
Death is most of all like sleep.
We spend so long apart
after briefly knowing ourselves.
I need you to know myself
and without you all I know
is sun.

Slowly

Slowly uttering out what I couldn’t…

Not too long ago, I was cursed with the inability to express my feelings, every time I felt either sad or angry, or even too happy, I convinced myself it was the hormones inside that were acting up, I had slowly began believing that I was possibly bipolar.
In fact what I am about to let loose out of my head now, I didn’t allow myself to even think about it, let alone talk about it, I wanted so bad to rid off all my emotions, I thought I needed to be an empty void. I was wrong.

Through life, I have experienced so much pain, I barely even noticed them. With every decision I made, to not cry, or to laugh of the pain, I was slowly being tortured inside. Growing up an only child you’ll think I had it easy, and maybe I did, to a certain extent that is. I have no regrets; I only have way too many dreams.

Have you ever thought to yourself, that probably those who are heartless now once cared too much? (Don’t try to answer it; it’s a rhetorical question.) I cried myself to sleep during my horrific years, and when I woke up in the morning I wore a fatal smile, and walked with my head high up, with no one knowing I played both sides of the chess game, I had slowly and unfortunately created a fantasy in everyone’s head of myself as a phantom of delight. My glory days now have fallen, and now I remain the widowed past aching for the solemn present.

Overtime change happens, I changed from the sunset to snow; beautiful but cold. Yes, we may live in worlds you’ll never see on screen, but at least these worlds exist, for some people have been cast into a spell of non-existence, and roam around- lost in a labyrinth of a world that doesn’t exist.

To a Certain Extent

To a certain extent we have no love,
Angry words spat can never be withdrawn.
To a certain extent one may never smile again,
No joy, no sense of humor.
To a certain extent insecurity strikes,
Yet none of it were we ever given.
To a certain extent one isn't himself,
'If they discover, I take quietus'
To a certain extent we are blind,
Even an insensible can sense the tension.
To a certain extent we are always unaware,
'If only we had taken to be awake.'
To a certain extent one might never write again.
Ink and paper present, thoughts blunt.
To a certain extent be inpersistant.
Lest you pursue harm.
To a ungraceful exent,
I might not see the kingdom.
If only it had come to my knowledge
How uncertain the extent was.

To a greater extent we are bitter.
To a uncertain extent we are at peace.
To this extent we are alive.
To an unknown extent we are dead.
To an annoying extent we laugh.
To certain extent we cry.
To a certain exent we consequently act.
Yet to another,
Nay, no consequenses.

Life As Seen In a Plantain Flower

The pink petal is holding the buds safe like a mother hen,
I see another overlapping,
As I keep removing the laps one by one,
I realize, isn't our life's destinies going the same,
We achieve one goal, to start one anew,
As we peel the clusters one by one,
Here the stamen and the baby pink plastic like looking layer-
The rest of the flower, latex white,
Picked for cooking along coconut- a tasty delight.
But as I go ahead the layers, size of the clusters small and small,
And plucking getting tough and tough,
Hands blackened, sticky and tight,
As if struck with -Araldite.
I manage to go to a certain extent,
I keep waiting; probably I shall see the top portion now,
Which my mother claimed to be sweet and soft,
Like the heart of the lord
But on and on as I kept peeling,
But after a certain spot
Whence I had no patience left,
I took a knife and slit the cone,
Only to see the layers on and on,.
At this point I had this thought,
Final goal being God,
Final destiny happiness,
We all climb from one step of stairs,
And go along many a stair case.
We reach God the ultimate truth
Or leave the road in between,
This is a dreary journey we make,
To receive the joy of everlasting happiness.

Ps I Hate You

I am not allowed to do this
I don't want to
I don't want to be that way
If I do then this is not me
I hate you to a certain extent I don't want that level to rise Ignore me
Spit on my face
I won't say a word
Deep inside I hate you
You walking towards me,
I know you're in trouble
I know you need help
There I am ready
But
Deep inside I hate you
Disgusted with a glare from you
Irritated now with a thought of you
I have a place for you in my heart
Filled with respect
You are allowed to come and inspect
But
Don't go to that corner
because deep inside I hate you
Everything to you seems so really fine
Trust me its not
In your particular thought I don't want to wine
I want to curse you
Curse you for what you are
Curse you for every little thing you ask
Curse you for every little moment you smile.
Curse you for joy..
You're worth it
Because you still use me as a toy
Cursing won't help
won't do good to me nor you
But Loving you would do ..
You to me can't even spell love
Try doing that
You then would spell the other way round back
Love is just a camouflage
Disguised
Killing one by one
slaughtering each and every one
searching for its another victim
Pushing others in way one by one
It doesn't care where one falls
With a touch of it
It just trys to give him a great fall
you broke my heart
I wish there should've been a tune
For you to know how bad I was hurt?
I there again say
I am not allowed to do this
I don't want to
I don't want to be that way
If I do then this is not me
Its just me,
Pouring my heart out into this quite sea

Changing Times Changing Wars

25 April 2011

Changing times changing wars
Soldiers aren't just men anymore

Gender roles have mixed and mixed
Some women look like men some men look like chicks

Equality is good to a certain extent
Till it all gets exstream and away from what God meant

There is an order to everything
Its not winter then fall then summer then spring

You don't put your cart before your horse
You don't bake the flour then add the ingredients of course

Women are not husbands and men are not wives
You don't love evil and God despise

Stunned

Don't be afraid, I'm not going anywhere
I'm not going to run
Its scary
But we're giving it a try
Numb
Dont force it
Go with the flow, let it happen
Falling for you hard
Didn't realize it was so deep within
Butterflies
Body still trembles
You drive me crazy.... not a bad thing
Stunned
Fearless, to a certain extent
Your so real, not like the others before
You got that shine in your eyes
Through which you can see your innerself
Your emotions,
There's just something about you
I catch myself staring at you
Finding you look right on back
Making eye contact
Gives me goosebumps
Turning away with a smile
As my face turns red

Babe, your amazing.

Asphalt

4/24/15

Who's at fault
For such misconduct across the asphalt
Similar to the color of Hawaiian black salt

If your intent was meant
To only go to a certain extent
And not one hundred percent
Then honestly you didn't give it your best attempt

No offense
But it might make even more sense
If you look at both sides of the fence
Always not just at your own expense

Don't get jealous
And be selfish
By trying to embellish
A made up story beside the trellis
While being a bit overzealous
A hundred feet above some buried relics
That were considered cursed and hellish

Thunderstorm Watch

There’s a thunderstorm watch
Though it’s sunny outside
So I don’t feel the need
To take cover or hide.

Yet it may come to call
Like the weatherman said
And that knowledge will fill
Many people with dread.

But I don’t feel afraid;
I don’t need to be out.
If the thunder goes boom
I’ll enjoy it, no doubt.

For when Nature decides
She has reason to vent,
I admire her pluck
(To a certain extent).

Premium Member Where Are All Our Shops Gone

When we take a walk down any high street
more and more signs of to let or for sale
the demise of the independent shops no more
even the national ones struggle to stop the nail

It's so easy to put the blame on the web
though that's to blame to a certain extent
but many owners find their rent too steep
not making enough leaving them with a tent!

Is it inevitable for them to give up?
or should they fight on no matter what?
with most just ending up to be bankrupt
seeing the web besat them up with no dot

The future holds we know not what
for not everyone can be part of the net
too expensive or location is not available
some prefer to shop where they are met

The world is going just too fast
it needs to slow down and just ask
is this really for my benefit at all?
for soon eventually, all things will fall

(I have written this with my thoughts about The Death of the High Street as opposed to online shopping, supermarkets etc. Do we want to see our favourite department stores close as so many are struggling? Debenhams is cutting stores in bulk currently. What can be done about it if anything? Do we even care? Do you prefer online shopping?)

The Death

The Death

It will knock everyone’s door
It may be today or later
It is neither an end nor a loss
Just a change in the changing world
In death, nothing we loose and
Nothing we gain
It is just a repayment to the lender
We can dodge to a certain extent but
We cannot evade once for all
It has no affection or aversion
It will come and takes with him with just
