Best The Bomb Poems
Megalomaniacs, from any era,
all have the killer extinct gene
A beastly desire to bring everything
to the brink of nothing
Oh, how some would love to channel
their inner Nero
To make civilization come crashing down
in a smouldering pile
of rubble, ashes and smoke
They love playing the villain role,
being the anti-hero
Mad fiddling amidst the burning fumes
of cobalt, sulfur and flesh
Maniacal laughter bursting into an apocalyptic torch tune —
a melting pot melody of humanity doomed:
Blow it all up,
burn it all down
Let every wail be covered in dust
Empty the vials,
overflow the cup
Drink the nectar of nuclear lust
Feel the cannibal zeal of madness,
taste the consuming mushroom fear
Every breathing soul getting naked snuffed
Blow it all up,
burn it all down
Let every cry be smothered by dust
There once was a girl named Sabine
The cutest one I’d ever seen
She had curly hair
And a teddy named Bear
And her bedroom was perfectly clean.
Sabine had a brother named Jude,
A generally radical dude,
Who liked to play games
And call Sabine names
Until Mommy said, “Stop being rude!”
Jude and Sabine lived in France.
Their parents had met at a dance.
Scupper, their mom,
Had said, “Whoa, you’re the bomb!”
When she first saw their daddy, named Lance.
Along came a baby called Paul.
He started out small but grew tall.
He slept through the night
In darkness and light
And his parents said, “We have it all!”
Lance built his family a house.
It was just the right size for a mouse.
And a spider or three
And an ant colony
And a partridge, a quail, and a grouse.
The lot of them moved to a shoe.
A kitten lived with them too.
His name was Réglisse
And he loved to eat grease
And the occasional chocolate fondue.
The garden they grew was a dream.
The bees in it made clotted cream.
The milk cows made honey
And the apples looked funny
And Scupper killed weeds with hot steam.
A pigeon lived in the arbor.
The grape leaves provided safe harbor.
It pooped on the bench
But it spoke quite good French
And eventually found work as a barber.
All of the children grew up.
Their parents adopted a pup.
Jude made perfumes
Sabine painted brooms
And Paul invented the cup.
Come all ye closely,
'till I tell you a story.
From Ireland long ago.
'Tis about a farmer.
The season was done.
The turf was home.
Stacked against the gable.
To fetch when he was able.
The days became shorter.
The nights became colder.
But cosy was he,
With his mug of tea.
It gave him some bother.
When the stack became smaller.
And he figured a caller,
is stealing from me.
Smart as a fox,
He opened his box,
of dynamite sticks.
To get at that P***k.
He took out a sod,
stuck the stick inside.
Left it back on the stack.
Puffed up with pride.
Just as he predicted,
in the next district,
the bomb went boom.
The neighbour was doomed.
The sleepy Volcano.
Lies awaiting.
Soon it will erupt.
Spread burning ash.
And molten lead.
All, to perish.
In the dust.
The sleepy Atom Bomb.
Lies awaiting.
To do it's job.
Just a switch of the knob.
In Japan we saw how easy it was.
To spread death indiscriminately.
THERE CAN BE NO REASON.
OR EXCUSE.
For it's use.
We take away the lust for life.
We kill the children and the Wife.
Occupy the country.
Starve and deny.
Every day, a hundred enemies sworn.
To kill the USA.
Willingly with their life to pay.
The explosion is the sound of the gates.
Of Paradise opening.
There is no protection in having the bomb.
A threat to mankind. to make us all dead.
Make it gone, make it dead.

Lancaster formations
One two and three
To attack the dams
Off Industrial Germany
Targets to hit
In the Ruhr valley
Power providers
Canal alley
RAF Scampton
Near Lincoln they load
This barrelled bomb
Bounced to explode
Runway lined
Engines roar
Crews ready
Tally Ho!
Flying low to reach their quest
Allied pilots at their best
Flak explodes all around
As the Germans hear our engine sounds
Targets reached as they circle round
To gauge their height as it bounces sound
Steady steady let her go
As it hits the water
First bounce slow
Second bounce, momentum gain
These dams, not to be the same
Clinical strike as it hits the wall
Sinks, explodes
Crumbling walls
Minutes pass
As the crew's look back
To observe the severity of the attack
Nearly out of sight, as the walls finally gave
Cascades of water in thunderous rage
The Möhne and Eder breached as planned
Missions accomplished on these German dams
German war effort, hampered for a spell
As for the rest of the conflict
Time would tell

Since the end of World War II, it's been relatively calm
Cooler heads have prevailed, methinks coz of THE BOMB
The one that can end it all
Doesn't Kim Jon-Un recall
World War II and the devastation it caused!!!
Manchester she is alive
Alive with strength new
New skyscrapers replace old Victorian charm
Charm of Manchester with a burning heart
Heart's and mind's of all and each
Each day is special
Special to all that survived the bomb terror
Terror of a people and an embitterment
Embitterment that has long gone, rejoice
Rejoice Manchester, a proud city of Uniqueness
Uniqueness and Karma
Karma and love
God help me
Before I deploy
Unnecessary anger
All
For the devil's joy!
The Bomb Bomb grille is a great place to be.
This is a nice Italian restaurant in South Philly.
The place has been around for more than half a century.
It’s where to go to try out an Italian specialty.
On the menu, you will see mussels and linguine.
Their barbecued ribs will appeal to you and me.
If the name “Bomb Bomb” appears as an anomaly,
check out their website and read about their history.
I heard today about a bomb
that spares the buildings,
cremating only the living flesh within.
Why, in our humanity,
do we not have the bomb that spares the tender flesh?
I heard it was because when boys play at war games
only the dead bodies count.
.Boom! Boom! Boom!
Is the sound of the bombs,
Destructive echoes from metalic stumps.
It kills the young.
It kills the old.
With a ravaging sound,
That rises from the ground.
From the evil man's indurate heart,
That is always cold.
With unremorseful force,
It pierces our loved ones.
Leaving us with havoc,
Bloodshed and tears in our eyes.
This cruel incessant
Reverberating sound,
Boom! Boom! Boom!

Jesus Be The Bomb
I got this friend name Jesus, last name Christ
He died on the cross, so that we all might have life
He died for blacks, whites, all races that’s why when I kick it with him
I kick it with him on a regular basis
There’s something about the name Jesus that’s got me cheesin’
Grinnin’ from ear to ear what he did for me was enough
But he’s still here constantly blessin’ us, caressin’ us when the devil be stressin’ us out
He calms the storm, he don’t talk about what he gon’ do
He performs my friends got a track record and his word his bond
He heals the sick, he raise the dead
He also fed thousands of people with two fish, and five loaves of bread
Walked on water, shed his blood unconditionally he loved us
If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have duh
It don’t take a scientist to know that everything else is for the birds
But Jesus is fo’ sho
Ya’ll need to get ya’ll some, ‘cause Jesus be the bomb
All our life, we tried to do it our way
But we get left along the highway, we could’ve died
We was promised a lot by the devil, but he lied
Ain’t ya’ll tired, it’s time to give Jesus his
He’s been down for us for years
I got tired of sheddin’ tears of pain, when I could be happy
And all it took was change, we be stubborn set in our ways
Don’t wanna listen, you need to get some Jesus ‘cause that’s what your missin’
I’m glad I got some Jesus before it was to late
Although I sat there waiting on God, to remove them charges brought by the state
Whether he removed them, or let em’ be, I still walk around like I’m free
Free in my mind, free in spirit, you can run but you can’t hide
And while ya’ll runnin’, ya’ll need to get ya’ll some
‘Cause Jesus be the bomb
This Jesus I got, you ain’t got to wait in line
All you got to do is scream Jesus, and he gon’ get at ya dawg
He might not come when you call, but he gon’ handle it all
Problems great or small, he ain’t the type to leave you when you got your back against the
wall
He gon’ ride to the bitter end, that’s what you call a real friend
So if ya’ll got something negative, to say about my friend hold your tongue
Cause I know for a fact, that my friend Jesus be the bomb

My life feels like a ticking bomb,
threatening to detonate in my naïve face.
I sit and watch the brightly lit timer as it slowly counts down to zero,
and resets…
I am always on edge.
Only this once has the torturous timer run down to nothing,
mercifully ending my life.
From the ruins of my wasted time on earth
the eyes of my tortured soul fluttered
as I realize my metaphoric death has been but a dream.
My very soul aches, (I look around in bewilderment,
looking for the cause of my pain).
Tears stream down my face as my eyes land on
nothing but the demonic, changing numbers.
Cursing the endless countdown,
I reevaluate and rise from the rubble of my life.
Where I will go from here I don't know,
but death is not an option my soul will consider today.
