Be Not Tempted By Gold's Glittering Brights

Where couldst man find rest when heart has deceived
loved ones he wouldst happily give his all,
whilst on dark paths, false laurels thus received
profits only fools under fallen walls!

Shadows presenting wicked and false lights
oft penetrate even truest of hearts,
find only false moons on blackest of nights
sailing on festered seas with lying charts!

Hold firm sweet truth, know its blessings are fair
life is far more than wealth gotten with schemes,
its love and family with friends to share
treasures and bounty from realized dreams!

Be not tempted by gold's glittering brights.
Embracing such greed brings saddest of plights.

Premium Member ''When Platonic Best Friends Are Tempted''

A woman friend, of gorgeous pulchritude,
     presents a man with an experience
of nervous, elated, erotic mood:—
     to him it's a most welcomed "hinderance."

A guy friend of strong, chiseled, sexy good looks,
     makes a woman self-conscious and confused,
when reading, "Fifty Shades of Grey," (soft-**** books)
     and thinking of him while fully aroused.

They both may think of the possibilities,
     and then wonder: "What can it hurt...if we cross
that line?" But is it worth the realities,
     the risks, and the very real, potential loss

of a friendship? Best friends may be real fine,
but is it worth a hay roll (on Cloud Nine)?

My impulsivity gives me a lesson
For a long time the words in me have been quiet
they embrace me on all sides, I do not hear
While the ghosts dance gracefully in the shadows

// I'm not without sin
  _ feel my cold skin
Oh, the fear breaks in //

A tone in the devil's treacherous symphony
So beautiful that I dared to open up to him
His split tongue and poisonous liar
This shady evening, that led me into the depths

// I'm not without sin
  _ feel my cold skin
Oh, so deep within //

I do not think the water can be turned into wine
It's simplest, is often the most sensible
I pray that the fall height will not be so painful
Forgive me, I have lived in sin and without meaning

// I'm not without sin
  _ feel my cold skin
Oh, where have you been //

Daylight comes, the blood pulsates in the veins
In frustration and ruthless pain
I have to deal with my previous choices
and hope that miracles seek my salvation

// I'm not without sin
 _ feel my warm skin
Oh, what a beautiful day //

Tempted Eyes

My Heart me tempts, at staring of her eyes,
as if but I, was like a Feast to them;
When she, at me, does glare, my Heart echoes,
"Glory to Thee" and I but start to Blush;
Can I but not utter a word to her,
be it in mind or of the blushing soul;
Know I do not, whether to take a step,
in front or go afraid and head at back;
At last but I up make my mind, and soul,
I Feast upon here eyes and she on mine.

Death Tempted

Could I have done something
Was I not listening
You showed me the ropes
Made me the man I am

Would things be different
If I didn't leave for home
Could you have stayed alive for me
Now I'm missing a piece of my soul

Didn't you know what this does
Leaving me broken
Were we not enough
No I can't trust an old heart

I needed you to know
You were worth more
Then death tempted your beautiful soul

Its a sad thing to loose one of your own
I needed you to know
I would've given you my young
And taken your sick and old

Demoness ...

Tread soft near me, pray thee ...
          tread light and soft ... shall I yet awaken
     to the warmth of your hellfire?

I am your infernal progeny,
          birthed of you and Heaven ... I have been
     torn with your ire ...

I have been rent and
          burned by the cold flames of your
     skin on mine ...

Dare you mix such immaculate flesh
          with this gypsy, forsaken? I am thrall, with but
     a taste of your dark nectar.

Oh, to pierce you with the keen blade of
          truth, to slay your hot impiety, kill you with love, and
     sate the horrid heart's hunger.

We swim the moonlight and
          each other ... bare and bold, torn and told of
     sacred secrets gained in treason.

Let that lie be our salvation ...
          we rise in desire - we soar erotic, prurient,
     woven, interlaced ...

          One.

To Attempt To Not Be Tempted

To attempt to not be tempted,
It requires so much will.
But to actually not be tempted,
Is a dream one doubts to fill.

To attempt to not be tempted,
Is beyond a dream that's true.
Yet it takes a certain greatness,
One strives to follow through.

Angel ...

Tread soft near me, pray thee ...
          tread light and soft ... shall I yet awaken
     to the buffet of your wings?

Come, night, those diaphanous
          pinions to enfold me, trembling, and bleed
     the will from my flesh.

Dare you barter the
          moon to squander time with such a
     worldly creature?

Oh, what madness, this? Your heavenly
          covenant in ruin, to just once drink deep the mix of this
     mouth and thy starlit tresses, spilling ...

A love forbidden and
          a passion, insatiate, draws naught
     but pure poison.

Let that bane be our
          undoing ... entwined, delirious, falling ...
     tumbling ...

          One.

Be Thou Tempted Not, Dear Soul

Be thou tempted not, dear soul,
By all that glitters before thy eyes;
Luxuries they are, but the cheapest goal
That thou shalt bag in the nets of Paradise.
However at thy sight vanities take toll
And temptations within thy bounds arise,
To the spite of them all thy objections roll
—O, be thou not deceived by their lies!
For if not, thou shalt like a kindled coal
Burn forever in an inferno that never dies.
Therefore, be thou foolish not, dear soul;
All that glitters at thee is not Paradise.

Tempted By Desire

This world that engulfs us is filled with obstacles,
the dark ambitions grab you, with it's tentacles.

Deception, lies and lust, make up his arsenal.
Desire wreaks it's havoc and the devil comes to call.

Your struggles make you weak and then you lose control.
Temptation by desire, leads us down a deep dark hole.

No one is immune to him and his clever ways.
Be still and let our savior, lead you through the maze.

This world that's in front of you gives you what you want.
Needs come from the father, he's our confidant.
