S taring at the mountains, I raise my eyes
U p to where the stars are glittering
M esmerizingly in summer’s skies.
M idnight’s beauty to my soul is singing.
E ternity is staring back at me,
R esiding in this radiance I see.

M yriads of nights like this have come and gone.
O ther nights will follow; the moon will bring
O palescent grace to heaven’s song.
N ever-ending rhapsodies shall nature sing.

Premium Member Mark Anthony and Cleopatra-3

The Egyptian standard falls, unto histories surrendering,
The deserts breath, is so stilled, under the Nile river's
Murky abyss, busted masts, heave against the
Heavily laden hauls, taring the ships apart,
As the Egyptian fleet sinks beneath the waters surface.
A shooting flame of arrows, lights this tender box,
Of human flesh and bone, in wars clash of titans,
Rome must concur all nations.
Survivors screaming for salvation’s protection,
But help will not come, for Horas is a
Defeated deity, hiding within his own temple to
The east.
Broken is the heart of Egypt, as a daggers sharp edge,
Is plunged into the body of a living god, the last Pharaoh,
Known as Cleopatra.
Cradling misfortune's solider, Mark Anthony, she thus weeps,
Behold love's most tragic couple of history.
With his last breath, he calls unto she, by names sake
Alone, Cleopatra, than remains stilled.
Lord thy last falcon has left the golden land,
Welcome him, she thus bids farewell, to hearts warrior,
Cleopatra.
A mortal woman holds her lover, within destiny’s arms,
Soar with the great eagles, my love, for soon I'll join thee,
In the great halls of our ancestors.
Tragedies star crossed lovers, partake in the bitterest
Of fruit, dried are these figs, once ripened by the sun,
Now unpalatable by discord’s taste.
Nay, all the power and wealth of Egypt itself,
Could sever, the silver threads joining these two,
From one another.
Lovers heart, bound even after death itself,
Shall they walk forever, within the valley of
The dead together, silhouetted figures, embracing
Reunification’s promise vows expressed long ago,
Written within their hearts eternal.
Lain in a golden gown, the queen of the Nile
Does she rest, beneath death's slumbering shadow,
A serpents bite, has laid waste to a dynasty’s blood line.
Behold how in the heaven two eagles do soar,
Blanketed by the golden warmth of the sun,
As the passages of the hear after open wide
Their mighty gates, each name is spoken with
Honor pride, behold Mark Anthony and Cleopatra.

Even though I read tribute poems at your memorial service I still
Can’t believe that you both died aged just 19 and 20.
Staring me in the face when I open my cupboard are the plastic beakers
That you and your brother drank from when you played at our house -
All it took to lose your lives was powerful Ecstasy tablets
Such a tragedy that we will never ever get over …
You are always in my thoughts Jacques and Torin.

Set Me Free

Like an animal im locked away in this cage,
Standing in the middle of this stage,
With chains all over my soul trying to break free,
The feeling is to painful like a feeling from a thorned tree.

I scream out at the top of my lungs,
Set me free, of the chains that are holding me with evil tongues.
Living with my soul being captured, feels like im dead,
Pulling and taring these chains from my soul only hurts my head.

I finally fall to my knees and cry out,
I reach my hand out to God, apologizing for getting caught.
He forgives me like he always does and breaks these chains that im held by,
Now I can walk with a smile on my face and not wanting to die.

BEDTIME MAGIC

Sprawled under nightscape of galaxy bright
Tiny sequins pulse on blaze of luster,
A beaded stars nova bursts on flight
Into a full-blown montage, the lawns flicker

Reams of tales climb on visions lit by dappled view
While children’s breaths gleam of fantasy hayrides,
And fairies jut out from chapters to touch the hue
Yearning to blend into a ladder that divides

The seashore from a skyline blushing streams;
On one unmentionable lightness of firework glory
Tinseled rhinestones kindle hopes of angelic dreams,
Holding a cachet of flowered moon for bedtime story

Enchanted, their mother blows a peppermint kiss
Staring at gems waltzing high up on glittered air,
Threads of her locks meshed by twinkles of lullaby bliss
As graceful nebulae cuddle sweetened hours, ever fair

Rounding her infants, wonders of night magic sigh
Stars radiant dip into eyes; winking good night, goodbye!

Premium Member The Rusty Carcass

The shell remains, picked clean by
Hungry vultures, ravenous with greed-
Eyes, gouged out, now vacant in their stare.

Raw morsels of choice bits and parts,
Unsparingly stripped or torn away, and
Soft gutted vitals furtively devoured,
Totally filled the needs of scavengers who
Yielded to hunger and shared the feast.

Cruelly, the carcass rests on bony frame
Although once supported by plump,
Round parts, on which it mightily ran-
Crushed and crumpled, now an empty shell.
Abandoned, there it lies- the scavenged,
Shattered, rusty, ravaged Chevy-
Staring- lifeless, amid the weeds and grass.

Idk Anymore

All i know is that i am alone in a dark corner keeping myself from going crazy,
my eyes are choking from all the tears that fell to the ground to see how our days be.
The skin on my body runs wild with goose bumps,
it feels like a broom with sharp needles sweeping off those humps.

IDK what to do with myself anymore, i feel like i wanna give up all that i am worth for,
this life is a game i understand that, but i played the game all wrong so that is why im sore.
But sore, i don't want to be no more, i want to be free of this evil inside me,
cause its taring me to shreds and i cant do anything but see.

I got so much more to say to all you readers,
but i must get going to do my evil deeds and take all of these breathers.
There is one thing i wish though, its that after this i wont be sore,
cause to be honest, I REALLY DON'T KNOW ANYMORE.

Eyes Don'T Lie

Gaze into one's eyes..
You shall see one's truth
You shall feel one's truth..

The eyes contain depth..
There lies no deep dark secrets..
Secrets reside deep within..
Swims beneath one's ocean..
An ocean of which is inside all of us..

Inside one's ocean is years of pain..
Blades of a knife..
Cutting and taring away..
Accumulations are within your ocean.
At times they remain stagnant..
At times they arise..
Exposure occurs..
Realization of one's ocean within..
Had been submerged in dark murky waters
Had been swimming beneath your ocean ..
Inside..
Shark infested waters ..

Inside your ocean there is all of you..
Not only your pain..
There is your joy..
Your loving moments..
Memories creating nostalgic moments..
They swim along inside of you..
Within your ocean..

All had reached the top..
The surface of the ocean..
It shall always be your own truth..

Your beautiful eyes..
Is the surface of your ocean..

Gaze into one's eyes..
You shall see..
The surface of the ocean..
Connected to the window of the soul..

Your beautiful eyes don't lie..

Horn Haiku Splendid Ended

Horn Haiku Splendid
Wish it had never ended

having to go to court
paying child support
(selling myself short)
(trip had to abort)
(taring down the fort)
(ship sank at the port)
(type of court was tort)

wort on skin - Search (bing.com)

(had to take off wart)

tort court - Search (bing.com)

Can you come up with a poem like this?

can go to below
because I had told you so
mouth off like to blow
(big party will throw)
(a great garden grow)
(lawn will have to mow)
(always fight my foe)
(hole in shirt shall sew)
(I had stubbed my toe)
(hope win, place or show)
(garden have to hoe)
(saw Good Morning Joe)
(will have to eat crow)
(made a lot of dough)
(should use sweet and low)
(what matter be oh)
(like both Frost and Poe)
(down stream boat will row)
(away things did stoe)
(my horse had to whoa)

Below my poems find
when you will want peace of mind

Anger

The drug that I use
Makes me abuse
Tempers fuse
But don't get confused
The drug is anger
It causes danger
And cliff hangers
Flesh & bone banger
My heart is thumping
Adrenaline pumping
Veins are jumping
Fist to wall bumping
I can't control
My head is swole
There is a hole
That sucks in my soul
Blood is racing
Got me pacing
The edge I'm facing
There is no tracing
Temple is flaring
Nothing is baring
I'm not caring
My skin is taring
I'm angry

Petals With Love

A heart was frozen
For it was broken
The search was deep
Was lost through sleep
Quantum physics
The rules of etiquette
Poetic justice
A worthy apprentice
From Yin and yang
Which many sang
In love we trust
Why must we rush
Bless us when we are tired
To find the strength required
Taring down the walls
The world is not so small
Love grew for the land
For she lent out her hand
It prospered
Oxford would be honored
Too hard to conceive
Breath!
Shelter your grief
Life was meant for belief
Be sure to remember we will cross
Memories in which we thought we had lost

The Task of Happy

How to be happy is a complicated task
A question I continuously seem to ask

I have been questioned from time to time
“What makes you happy” but nothing comes to mind

I pause to think, what do I really say?
What makes me happy is making someone else’s day.

But when I think about what I just said,
I had an epiphany and felt a little dread

Why am I putting everyone first?
How do I change this? I’ve been this way since birth

I ponder the changes I need to make.
The task of happy I need to brake

Why am I afraid of taring down my guard
Why is the feeling of happiness so hard?

Self sabotage is a tactic I to use
If I get to close to that feeling, it’s like a burning fuse

Waiting for that moment to blow up in my face
Running out of fear of disappointment, I escape from that place

The task of happy should not be a chore
So I reach deep into my soul, down to my core

In order to be happy and stay in that place
It isn’t putting yourself second just to save face

If I truly love to make others happy,
I need to be happy first
The rest will be effortless and stop thinking the worst

Enjoy every moment for what they are
For those are future memories to think back on from a far

Why Do I?

Why do I feel so alone?
Why do I cry, in these long nights?
Why do I love, where I can not get love back?
Why do I trust, who can not trust me back?
Why do I have to kill myself inside?
Why do I Hate, hate even myself?

These feelings the most painful inside,
and no one see's them.
The Heart ache I give myself,
to love, one who doesn't love me back.
The Pain I deal to myself,
is taring me apart.

My own blood,
I feel is against me.
Everyone else follows him.
I plea but all he says,
that I'm doing it all wrong.

I try so hard,
but yet feel nothing was gained.
I want to hope,
but feel I will only get crushed.
Want to tell her,
but don't want to fully lose her.

Guess there's no reason anymore,
to tell her if nothing is going to respond.
My greatest Strength,
is my greatest weakness.

I feel so lost,
I feel so afraid.
My Heart is beating its last beats,
before it fades away.
