Summer Moon

S taring at the mountains, I raise my eyes U p to where the stars are glittering M esmerizingly in summer’s skies. M idnight’s beauty to my soul is singing. E ternity is staring back at me, R esiding in this radiance I see. M yriads of nights like this have come and gone. O ther nights will follow; the moon will bring O palescent grace to heaven’s song. N ever-ending rhapsodies shall nature sing.

This is beautiful and on that note I am done reading for tonight. Had a flu last week and had the car broken into but they did not get anything. Just put some burn holes on the roof of the car. Had my power steering and hose go to last week. Will talk soon. love phyl

I seldom se the moon as my house faces north and south and the moon is not easy to find. I believe it is very large tonight but I have to wait until after midnight to run out to find it. Congratulations on your win. Love, Joyce

Your words flow so beautifully, which is always difficult to do with an acrostic. This should place well in the contest, Andrea. Good luck to you!.... This contest has inspired some great poetry, it is sure going to be a tough one to judge!.... Thank you so much for the kind and encouraging comments, as always!

So nice, this arrangement of a very hard form. And your story line is very cohesive. I especially like lines 5 and 6.

Its so vital to happiness not to ignore the jewels andgems of Nature Andrea. I believe many people would discover viable therapy just by learning to notice and appreciate more of Nature's marvels. " The moon will bring opalescent grace to heaven's song..." that's a poetic honor the Moon won't forget. J.A.B.
