Best Stroll Poems
Walk through this world with me
feed and awaken my soul
share all my dreams with me
along with your silence I stroll.
Reach down deep into a loving heart
walk through my morbid fears
allow not a wealth to fall apart
pick my Self up, deafen the sound of my tears.
Walk through this world with me
I need to feel your kindling power
share all my dreams with me
I'll live through what is sweet and sour.
A journey of many a loss, a Light to reach
blowing the dust off, a gem would glitter and win
If only the book of Nature would me teach
the flame of harmony would ever glow and never dim.
Walk through this world with me
paint mysterious stories of no ending
share all my dreams with me
on dark paths, we blend colours and keep ascending.
In Life, we reach souls and bloom
the road is long and the pleasure is strong
we learn to build in the heart many a room
and yearn for the realm to where we belong.
The lines used :
(Walk through this world with me
Share all my dreams with me)

Brisk breezes chilled us, we picked up our pace
That night we strolled beneath the harvest moon
And how I wish right now we could embrace
Your warm arms sheltered me like a cocoon
Your deep voice singing “Strangers in the Night”
I laughed as we’d been friends some eighteen years
Our spirits danced; I would not show my fright
But worried soon nothing would stop my tears
For I knew then that God was calling you
Your cancer-ravaged body, oh so thin
Now I have lonely nights in which to rue
The loss of one who seemed to be my twin
On autumn nights when moonbeams light the stage
Your shadow dances still and quells my rage
crumbling
leaves drift with wind
naked branches shiver
crisp scarlet, gold carpet is laid
onwards
misty
fog fills the air
masking grey gloomy skies
brisk breeze blows pinecones into
puddles
odours
of faint wood smoke
like an earthly perfume
infuse dawn's dewdrops on iced fields
ahead
hungry
blackbirds hover
searching for sweet berries
blanket of dark clouds cover sky
home time!
Autumn Stroll
Autumn
Gold foliage
Brilliantly surrounds me
Strolling forest's sunlit pathway
Aglow.

A woodland path in the dappled sun, hushed and quiet!
My soul is gratified as I meander midst its colorful riot!
Another glorious autumn has burst forth in all its splendor!
The Creator displays a vista no mere artist would dare render!
Gentle zephyrs stir eddies of colorful leaves along the way.
A myriad of wild flowers greet me with their brilliant display.
Trees that a short while ago offered welcome summer shade,
Now lift barren arms as if in prayer sans their leaves of jade.
Not a cloud mars the pristine blue of the Colorado sky.
A skein of geese wing southward sounding their plaintive cry.
Stately Colorado spruce 'neath which deer now gambol and browse,
Will soon have garlands of snow adorning their spreading boughs.
The shrill blare of an elk startles me from my reverie,
As he calls for a mate with his ever sovereign plea.
I pause on a nearby knoll to view yon shimmering lake,
Teeming with graceful ducks, guarded by a magnificent drake!
Foolish poets and artists have strived to portray each season.
They have tried and failed because of a very real reason.
Only He Who is the Master Artist and ruler over all,
Will ordain the beauty of the seasons, especially the exquisite fall!

My feet step in time to the great Pumpkin Stroll
where gourds are like chords of a song
I tap dance around golden orbs of delight
As Fall once again comes along
So happy, the sounds of the rustling leaves
of ochre and crimson and green
My mind is a whirl, Jack-o-lanterns to make
The scariest you’ve ever seen
The cider has left me abuzz with intent
the patches, a bounteous crop
A tipsy reminder to walk with great care
when blades are then drawn set to chop
Selecting perfection of orange leafy squash
I’m pleased at achieving my goal
Still stepping in time to Fall’s musical whim
I’ve loved doing my Pumpkin Stroll
So stop by and wonder when pies may be set
on window sill ready to cool
But don’t lay a finger until time is right
lest you reconcile with a ghoul!
As We Stroll Along Lanes Of Truth, Lies Or Convenient Illusions
But if truth and light grace your soul
And a wisdom shields heart and mind,
You may in life hope for the best
As we stroll along lanes of truth, lies or convenient illusions
And either we come to know or not know
That to this dark world- we are less than nothing.
O truth! Does life and love gift all we need
As that gaze from stars crying while looking down
We then, that are not born of eternal seeds
Wade through this ever changing realm
Mired in the darkness which patiently lies, waiting within!
In love we think we are flowers blooming forever
In gardens devoid of decay
Yet invisible beyond that veil
Are powers that seethe in anger
Things that seek to destroy, and eat us alive.
Such foreboding exists, as does ground beneath bare and roaming feet
Although in blindness we see only with limited sight we have
Prone to seek peace, love and beauty,
We conjure up fantasies and dreams
Illusions that quell our deep and internal fears!
Ah, gone are days of the magical gods
They which could be insured to take the blame
Those that set us into perils, into savage wars
In our ignorance we saw- the gods played and wreaked havoc
As we, heaped upon this world mysterious gifts of darkness
And paraded forth as if living was a mere game
A thing which we mastered, a monster we truly controlled.
And in that deception we saw imagined gods that we had conquered
And we imagined the Gods that we had become-through our magnificent being!

Thanks to Demetrios for his assistance with the final line
When twilight hangs on the silver of trees
In ways the boughs are draped with frost's release,
My tempo of whistling strides and feet unfurl
Beneath the dome of clouds, set in misty pearl.
Lilacs pose with sheen in a crystal dress
On branches gracing a season's finesse,
The nightingales coo of winter's refrain
Along roads where love finds sweet comfort gained.
In solace, I marvel at this jeweled hour
As lanterns guide my stroll through night's tower!

Sunlight streaming
Casting dancing shadows
Leaves whispering very gently…

Crunchy
Foliage falls
Wizened leaves decaying
Autumnal blanket covers earth -

Stroll slowly along the beach with me
Together under the brilliant stars
Come listen to my heart songs
I'll love you just the way you are
Be my one and only
The answer to my prayers
Come and walk beside me
The rest of our living years
I'll gaze lovingly into those caramel eyes
Stroke lightly on your lambent cheek
Whisper sweet poetry in your attentive ear
My heart will tremble as we speak
Wrap your arms securely around me
Make me feel safe and warm
Comfort me with hugs and kisses
Together we'll weather the storms
foggy
rain is dripping
as I stroll in autumn
that makes me breathless with beauty
golden

as lover's stroll amidst the morning hush
silent eyes yawn, stumbling fingers entwine
whilst through frothy waves reflective skies blush
squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine
silent eyes yawn, stumbling fingers entwine
as playful dolphins tumble in the waves
squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine
through the mist, sandpiper perched on the staves
as playful dolphins tumble in the waves
momentary embrace of lover's lips
through the mist, sandpiper perched on the staves
as darkness excites in solar eclipse
momentary embrace of lover's lips
silently gazing at horizon's edge
as darkness excites in solar eclipse
trailing footsteps fade out from ocean's ledge
silently gazing at horizon's edge
whilst through frothy waves reflective skies blush
trailing footsteps fade out from ocean's ledge
as lover's stroll amidst the morning hush

A scarlet tanager sits primly on the rail
Of the new fence erected near the meadow,
He eyes me stroll as I take in every detail
The path to the woodland is rather narrow,
Infrequently used, it is rapidly overgrowing
I am brushing against the yellow yarrow,
As hottest of summer is fast approaching
The meadowland has nary a cooling shadow.
Happily, I note the salt lick has disappeared
I hope its purposes were well-intentioned,
Certainly not as the hunter’s ploy, I feared
In a previous post, I am sure I mentioned.
I feel the coolness of the pleasant breeze
As I approach the edge of the tree line
Where meadow gives way to aspen trees,
And further on, a stand of taller pine.
I shall follow the trail through the wood
To the river which I can faintly hear, ahead
Where I saw a huge buck in full manhood,
And I have seen signs of where he bed.
It is a good two-mile hike, not exhausting
But I stop to examine new growth along
And for moments to reflect, I am pausing,
I’m encouraged by the tanager’s song.

Come my love, let's rest under the lilac trees,
Hear the vast countryside sing with dewy grass,
Birds fly high twittering their mating allure.
I look only on your face so smooth, so class.
It's now late afternoon and birds go to rest
Let's enjoy the soft breeze that meander through
Tall trees, swaying lightly in the evening and
There a cottage , walls covered with flowers blue.
There we'll have a high tea, a splendid cook's fare
Till the sun disappears and darkness covers
The terrain so green while a slice of red moon
Ascend slowly, lightens us as two lovers
We watch the bright landscape in magic moonlight.
I feel her face resting on my shoulders, tired.
We ascend for a good night's sleep in our room,
We kiss and know we have what love we required.
