Amidst the Stress and Strains of Life

Amidst the stress and strains of life rejoice
Don't fold now, you still can play the hand
Forget old rules, make a new paradigm for choice
The brail and vang is in your will's command

In your heart, just know your cause with God is right
The stakes for all is everything you are
Where your hands toil, work with all your might
And point the stern towards your homing star

Do not quit your dreams now, do not complain or cry
Stand boldly at the bow and keel against the wind
What matters if in the great struggle we die
We could not live forever anyhow, and still we win

For we have opened a path unopened before, and shew
Men how, for the world will after us in glory
But not behind the whimpering soul will any pursue
The grimacing shame of a coward's history.

Know whose you are, and who you are reclaim
For God made you in his image, and set your heart
To have dominion here, to replenish in the flame
Subdue the earth, now with honor do your part!

Tell winds and waves be still, tell the fire break
You have God's glory to your name, stand and fight
Do not quiver, let not the sun-centered rod shake
Day comes the morning after the darkest night.

Breaking Dna Strains

Breaking DNA Strains

In Biology lessons, one reads of mutations…
That inexplicable quirk of natural selection…
For once in a while some individual thrives…
While at other times, another withers and dies…

The latest movies exhort the supreme human being…
Through the process of mutated genes, he comes into being…
The Marvel World of Super Heroes and super bad Villians …
Though fictional, is peppered with humans far from normal…

Now the latest medical news serve out a most dire warning…
As health experts blared incessantly of the dangers of smoking..
A timely warning is posted of the dangers from e cigarettes or vaping..
Being a relatively young phenomenon, dire warnings are slow in coming..

Vaping smoke can and will break up DNA strains in human cells…
Clinically proven in laboratory studies, these results are a hard sell..
Broken DNA and mutated genes, there is scant enough difference…
Looks like vaping smoke, even nicotine free, comes with a consequence..

Nicotine free vaping is freely touted to be non addictive..
Many a hard core smoker is tempted to do a switchover to vaping…
But therein lies a perplexing dilemma, for new smokers pick up vaping..
A means to an end to cut down smoking, vaping now picks up a following..

Makes one wonder, those who do smoking or vape smoking in particular…
Will they ultimately be a source of mutated genes at the level molecular..
Will the day happen when we will see human with vastly superior qualities..
Or will there be more unimaginable diseases caused by bad mutated genes..?

The Last Strains of the Decrescendo

The last strains of decrescendo were still in my ears
Dancing at the masque party time flew leisurely on downy feathers
The night was still youthful, the breath enjoying every fragrant inhale
The last strains of the decrescendo were still in my ears

I was jostled to my senses when it was announced that I had won a free plane ticket
To a destination of my choice. Why me? How? What competition? When?
I quickly revived before entering we were given forms and timed to fill in a destination
And one name whom we wished we could have taken along in sqeezy thirty seconds
I packed my bags and a week later boarded for Las Vegas yearning for my hubby
I couldn't control my smiles as the plane took me off on my maiden foreign tour
The strains of the crescendo were rising in my heart

A dainty air hostess smilingly tiptoed to me, asked for my cabin bag to accost me
To business class, served me snacks and wine and gifted me a black velvet box
Wiping my hands with a serviette, I gently opened the box
To find a welcome note for a week's stay at MGM's GRAND Skylofts suite
Gambling and itenary at the host's cost and my daylights went out.
The strains of the crescendo were rising in my heart

From the airport I was driven to Skylofts where I was received with a warm tet-a-tet
Eyes sparkled at every measure while being escorted to my suite
The bellboy kept the luggage down before the suite, didn't unlock but knocked
The door was opened by my husband with a black rose in hand and a smiling face
The strains of the best crescendo were in the air.

The God of Pandemics is silly
Displaying less sense than a lily
The rest of us know
The virus can't grow
Where no one has a 6' willie!

Mystical Strains

You are so complex, so twisted beautiful,
I suppose.
You are everything I am not also something
I should not have.

I can hear your voice murmuring in the
monsoons.
I see you sway the coconut trees,
whipping the night sky.

I lift my fuchsia sari and dance in the moist
fresh earth.
Play no music
speak no words.

Your face greets my misty eyes.
You are everything I am not also
something I should not have.

The bond between our eyes and heart
     sometimes is not so strong;
the heart may fool our vision's part-
     conducting its own song.

The bond between our mind and soul,
     half-hearted, blend each view;
the soul can shade the mind's eyehole-
     its process, misconstrue.

Oft eyes and minds are very blind-
when hearts and souls are intertwined.

Strains of Aite

Sorplaisitese was his name
he was moderatly poor
and happy. He had aweful luck
with woman. So he thought.
One day he meet one of his
former female freinds
and became wise
to plots against him.
He learned his family members
would corner his female freinds
and ask had he consamated there
relationship citing a faith that lead him
to beleive certain things.
This would
make spectical of him and cause
the woman to be whorish with him
and mean. Instead of being the
 woman he needed due
to the meddling of strange and
 unwanted questioning
it would cause strain in
there fragile condition.
Dumbfounded he absorded what
she said and made mention of
it to his father. Well his father
told him if ever this would happen again
he would try to help him
resolve the matter.

Pure joy sighs
In sure highs

Seek to know
How love grows

In good time
Cheer sculpts rhymes

By and by
Calm clear sighs

Warm the cold
Dare be bold

Walk your talk
Let truth stalk

Be one whole
Heart and soul

Live fine strains
Prompt yet plain

Do good now
Love knows how

The Strains of Skies

Merriment has bustled ever so brightly.
You are one who was taken so timely.
Lost inside the strains of skies.

Over above is where you are.
Vast and lonesome, so very far.
Eternally so, until we are one.

THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE without grammatical symbols the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making the form a two way interplay and often a unique interpretation by the enigma so derived
