Strains of Interpretation

The bond between our eyes and heart sometimes is not so strong; the heart may fool our vision's part- conducting its own song. The bond between our mind and soul, half-hearted, blend each view; the soul can shade the mind's eyehole- its process, misconstrue. Oft eyes and minds are very blind- when hearts and souls are intertwined. February 1, 2020 Theme: "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." - Anais Nin

Sandra, this resonates with me. The aspects of our person often filter our world through different prisms. Which do we trust? How do we respond when observation conflicts with conviction? When heart and mind disagree? That is the human condition. I love "the heart may fool our vision's part- / conducting its own song." So elegantly worded, this is going in my favs. Congrats on your well-deserved placement ~ John

So true! Spoken like a true romantic, as most poets are, Mrs. Sandra. Good luck!
